Mezzaluna is the best family friendly casual Italian restaurant in Lake George. Home style cooking, family recipes plus many options if you don“t want Italian . The best eggplant parmigiana, greens and beans, homemade gnocchi, awesome sauce… Ask for it spicy it is mouthwatering delicious . They also have great flatbreads, subs, pizza, salads, Italian dinners, burgers and more. Just like your Italian grandma’s kitchen. So very good! Try it you“ll become a repeat customer like me!

Considering that most dining options on the main drag in Lake George are a solid two stars, Mezzaluna wasn’t actually all that bad. By normal life standards, this is not the best quality Italian food. But, by lake George standards it was actually pretty tasty. I’ll definitely keep it in mind for next time. My stomach had kind of been bothering me and I was craving something that couldn’t be messed up. AKA most of the sports bar style food spots that consume Canada St. were outtie. Pasta and red sauce seemed like a very solid option, and on that front Mezzalunas most certainly delivered. I ordered a half portion of pasta with meatballs. Or, pasta with ‘meatball’ as I should call it, because there was just one in the massive bowl of penne. I get that it was a half portion, but if I had ordered a full, priced at 14.99 I would have been let down by just two meatballs. Luckily, the one meatball that I indulged in was super yum. To wash everything down we split a carafe of house wine which was absolutely massive and was only 20 bucks. Lack of meatball(s) aside, this is a good option on the main drag if you are not feeling bar food. It’s all classic red sauce Italian, and you really can’t go wrong with anything here.

OK service, but food was not very good. Keep in mind that Lake George Village has limited options. We ordered two pizzas and an eggplant parmesan. The pizzas were greasy and not high quality ingredients. Filling, though, so portion size was not an issue. Eggplant parm was drowning in cheese and sauce and came with a little side of penne pasta. All in all a mediocre experience. Pass.

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. I’ve been coming to Lake George for years and have never had a good experience with Italian food there. We tried Mezzaluna’s on a whim and were not disappointed. We loved the cheesy garlic bread! I also loved my house salad since I ordered it with balsamic and they use oil and vinegar from the oil company in the village. For dinner I had the pappardelle pasta(homemade) with bolognese sauce. It was delish! Only problem was the restaurant was packed and HOT! Our food took and LONG time and we were sweaty and spent by the end. At least the wait staff was attentive and moved as fast as they could. But, what can you expect on a busy weekend in Lake George? I’d definitely go again, next time hopefully sitting outside,

Excellent food. Great customer service. Relaxed environment. The half plate ravioli parmigiana was the perfect portion size. The ravioli was cooked just right and the sauce complimented it well. The waitresses were friendly and pleasant and the outdoor seating allowed us to get fresh air while enjoying the scenery.

Very very good pizza! I work in Manhattan so it’s hard to compare the 2 lol but for Lake George village I really enjoyed it! Had both traditional and margarita, very tasty sauce and delicious cheese with just the right amount of basil and oregano on both, love the outdoor seating in the front & hostess and waitstaff a very friendly and courteous, prices on everything were reasonable as well the only reason I left off a star was because my kids slices were lukewarm at best but no biggy, add this to your list of family friendly restaurants to frequent you won’t be disappointed!

After scouring Unilocal for a restaurant in Lake George that had a high enough rating, we spotted Mezzaluna’s. The restaurant is more of your paper mat, paper napkin pizzeria type than white tablecloth Italian affair. So prepare yourself for that first to set expectations. After that the wait staff was very attentive. Igor, our waiter, was attentive and polite. Even the hostess stopped by to check on us on her trip to the kitchen. The food is well made, albeit a bit generic. White bread served with balsamic vinagrette and olive oil as a starter. My half size portion of pasta alfredo was enough to fill me up and the noodles were cooked well and the pasta creamy. My boyfriend’s chicken parmigiana was cooked well and sized appropriately. Families frequent the restaurant(families frequent Lake George it seems), which means a lot of kids. The restaurant accommodates kids with a kid menu that had chicken strips and french fries. Side note: $ 23 buys a full carafe of chardonnay which was definitely a generously sized bottle of wine. My boyfriend and I finished the whole thing over the course of our meal and left with a pretty good buzz. For an area which seems to serve mostly pizza, bar food and burgers; this was a better food choice for Lake George.

Great Italian atmosphere with very good service. We were in the mood for pizza so we stopped in for the first time to grab a Margherita pie. The pizza itself was excellent, with a nice crispy thinner crust and quality ingredients. I also liked how they used local ingredients like olive oil from the Lake George Olive Oil Company. They also had a variety of beers, with local Davidson Brothers brew on tap. Their house salad was also very good, although the Italian dressing was a little sweeter than desired. Overall, this was a great Italian restaurant to which we’d certainly return.

The food was pretty good, the chicken on the Flatbread was overcooked and super crunchy. The pizza and pasta was good. The prices were excessive, $ 83 for lunch for 4. The service was very slow, so make sure you have plenty of time. It was a great spot to sit and people watch!

Calamari was not bad. The pizzas are are something you can pull from your freezer. Flatbread wasn’t bad. Service from the Italian guy with the curly hair was very good.

Came here for pizza with friends. Little bit of a wait, because of the fireworks, but worth it! Friendly waitress. Ordered the mozzarella sticks, and they were pretty good. Also got the personal pizza with peppers and mushrooms. I was so glad they used fresh mushrooms. The mark of a good restaurant is using fresh ingredients. Another great place to add to my list of Lake George restaurants to go back to!

Lured in by the cute blonde standing out front. whoever hired her is a genius. Though, I was also lured into the Frankenstein Wax Museum by the guy dressed in the cheesy Frankenstein costume. That’s a whole notha review. Anyway. Once in, the service was outstanding. Our waiter, Igor was on top of it. He was fast, polite, and provided the right amount of checking in on our table, without being a pest. A+ We ordered beer, and garlic cheese fries. Beer is always good. The fries were effing delicious. My mom said that the marinara sauce which is served with the fries, was. and I quote: «The bomb diggety. best sauce I have ever had!» Then Pizza came out. Mezzaluna got the crust right! OMG it has been hell trying to find a good pie in Upstate NY. Finally! I found it. Scarfed down the cannoli which was also good. sent a Godfather reference straight over my wife’s head. Then drove home.

Dined on Sunday 6÷14÷15, party of 4… We were very pleased with our dinner at Mezzaluna’s! Family owned & operated. We sat inside as there were many customers in their outdoor seating & we preferred the quiet. Large, fresh Caesar salads, an amazing huge Tomato Caprese salad to share with basil & arugula drizzled with the best balsamic vinegar(you can find it locally). We also had an order of Calamari– crisp & tender, not rubbery like you find at so many places. Fresh baked bread with the local olive oil & balsamic on the table too for dipping. We had the large Shrimp Alfredo pizza(with caramelized onions & prosciutto) then drizzled with that amazing balsamic vinegar again! :) A very rich pizza but absolutely delicious & with the previous salads, a good balance. Finished with the Cannolis… fresh, crispy shell with choc chip ricotta filling to die for… yum! Our server was very friendly, knowledgable & efficient with taking our order & getting it to the table. The owner, Carmela(a sweet lady) stopped by to check on us several times as did another nice server. We’d gladly eat here again… in fact, we saw the margherita pizza pass by our table & it looked incredible.

I have never, ever, given only 2 stars to a place with really excellent food! If you want to sit and people watch and don’t mind noise– this is the place for you! Our food was terrific but pricey, our waiter was pleasant & agreeable, but the food was produced waay too slowly and the tourists on the street were loud and obnoxious! Really loud and really inconsiderate! If you Ever eat here be sure to sit inside.
