Unfortunately, I must downgrade my assessment. Too many issues too many times. Could be a gem, but need to get their act together. Poor service, food that is room temp is not acceptable.

Did not have cell service, so I couldn’t Unilocal this place prior to going in. Ugh. Would have saved my 20 bucks and applied towards a better experience. The restaurant is in a great location with a beautiful view and a quaint décor. Sadly, this is where it stops. Bummer, because it has potential. Dined here with a group of friends. Mostly older folks come here and I guess they have time to linger. We did not. Perhaps I am just used to city pace, but the service was painfully slow. The lingering and abundant flies were also a nice touch. Possibly to distract from the bad service. It was surprising to see that for a breakfast establishment, the typical things were missing, like, cups already on the table and servers running around with coffee pots. There were probably 5 waitresses crawling around the place. Not walking. Crawling. Like, ‘Day at the DMV’ crawling. Not sure why it was taking so long for things to get done, because the place is pretty small and they did not have to run a marathon between the kitchen and tables. Although we were seated right away, it felt like an eternity waiting for stuff. We also never got glasses with ice water. The coffee tasted as though it had been made from re-used grounds. Food was mediocre, portions pretty meh. I guess this place used to be epic, but now is just a novelty.

This place has a bunch of awards on the wall but I’m sit here wondering what the hell for. Food was nasty nasty nasty. What you gain in a nice lake view you lack in tast. Skip this place do yourself a favor.

We ate here for dinner one night and it wasn’t terrible. Granted, like every other food establishment in the area, prices are on the jarringly high side but we didn’t feel too too taken here. After inadvertently scaring our poor little teenage server, I ordered the chicken salad. It wasn’t bad. I think my sweetheart had the salmon and he wasn’t overly impressed but it wasn’t terrible either from what I remember. A few flies, a slightly strange inexpensive smattering of random«décor» in the enclosed porch area, and a slight Grandma’s house feel, but it wasn’t terrible. Service was fine but since I scared the poor girl, she tended to stay away from us. Nice lake view indeed. Quiet little place. I swear they were closing up while we there, not even after 6. Or it seemed like it. Everything in Lake Geneva seems like it’s in the process of closing for the day. Anyway, not bad, not super. We wouldn’t completely rule it out given another chance.

The food is okay, but this place has many issues. For one, sometimes this place has flies in it, which is always annoying. Also, my relative once ordered a burger from here, and it was a whole hour late! The place often reeks of a smell I cannot describe, and I would not recommend this place. Though I will admit their wings are nice.

Friendly service, great food. We had the Saturday fish fry and literally had our food in less than 5 minutes. The bloody Mary drinks were excellent. Pricing was very good. We spent less for 2 drinks and 2 full meals than what we had spent next door for 2 bloody Mary’s and 2 bowls of soup! Will go back for sure

Okay, Where did you hide my chicken salad??? This place is not at all what I thought it would be like. It was much smaller inside than I would have thought. Casual dining and bright. Varied menu. Burgers, sandwiches, salads and some entrees. Table next to me were giddy about how good their Bloody Mary’s were and only $ 3.95! I was tempted but opted with the raspberry ice tea. Quite good. It tasted like ice tea with that raspberry syrupy stuff from a bottle. FYI; growing up we called it bug juice. The tea was yummy. I had my heart set on chicken salad. Sandwich was $ 9.95 I think, chicken salad in an avocado with asparagus spears was $ 12.95. I really did not want the spears, although I wanted the avocado. $ 3 difference… got the sandwich. I could not taste the chicken salad. There was more lettuce and tomato on it than chicken salad. Usually with that kind of sandwich you bite into it and chunks of chicken fall out. It seemed like they had put it in a blender? It looked like there was just a smear on one side of the sandwich. Maybe 2 – 3 tablespoons top. Service was fine. Very apologetic and meaning it if something was forgotten. What might have been a 3 star review, I gave 4 stars because I think this place has potential.

Went for fish fry. Fish was very light and crunchy and the serve potato pancakes with the fish fry and those were very good too. Definitely going back next time we are in town. Decent prices.

Overall: Mediocre food for an average price. The view and the service saved this place. The good: good service with a good view. The prices are just okay, but the food was pretty bland and boring. The bad: again, mediocre food. Just didn’t leave feeling very satisfied at all. Atmosphere: 5⁄10 Service: 7⁄10 Food: 3⁄10

I would drive all the way here from chicago just for their greek skillet. YUM! One of the best breakfasts I had. My top two in my opinion. Service is great and prompt. I ordered earl grey tea and the fantastic server, Kayla brought out this impressive wooden tea box which had about 7 different teas. GREEKSKILLET had PERFECT bits of bacon in it. NO fat what so ever. Cooked crisp. VERY generous w the feta cheese. The hubby got biscuits and gravy that he was very happy with When you go, GETTHEGREEKSKILLET!(did I mention I loved the greek skillet? Lol)

Hmmm… These reviews are disturbing. I’m giving this place 5 stars just because I think you all are a bunch of whiners and snobs. I had a great time here. I was happy with all aspects of this place. I was meeting a long lost friend for lunch. I hadn’t seen her in about 25 years. I walked in on a tuesday at 1pm. There was a couple just leaving but the place was empty. That’s really not too unusual. I was there first and I told the girl that I was meeting someone just in case I didnt see her and she did. She was genuinely interested in the circumstances of my meeting. Pretty soon the whole waitstaff was really interested in the story. I thought it was a nice touch. People don’t just want to be shoved in a corner of an empty restaurant and ignored. They were talking to me and I could feel my level of anxiety fall. My friend arrived and we chatted for a bit. The one girl only came by once to check and see if we were ready to order. She wasn’t in any hurry. When we did order, our server was very enthusiastic. My friend ordered the Portobello sandwich. She is vegetarian and loved it. I had the Southwest pulled pork. Our server asked if I wanted a bun or she recommended the Corn Buttermilk Pancakes to go underneath. It was fantastic! The serving of pulled pork was very generous and the sides of beans a coleslaw were acceptable. No, they weren’t homemade, but it really didn’t detract from the meal. Ambiance was nice. The view of the ice was spectacular. I didn’t mind the price of the bill at all. Overall I had a fantastic time. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Everything can’t and shouldn’t have to be perfect for $ 15/plate. Now for $ 150/plate, things should be perfect. But, you’ll have to go to New York, Chicago, Los Angeles or Vegas for that. Lighten up.

Lemmings only! Do not come here if you have even moderately discerning taste buds or don’t want to be filled up with salt. I’ve been here 3 times, once for each meal of the day. I had the Salmoln eggs benedict for the breakfast, burger for lunch, and my guest had the Swedish pancake. Wouldnt recommend any of these(Swedish pancake was not even passable) Pros: Great view of the lake, convenient location for people watching and walking. Also very kid friendly. Cons: Inept and rude(hense my rude review) waitstaff Very salty food Terrible/hard(synthetic?) casing on the sausage Lingon berries were far from fresh Samoln tasted like generic low grade fish Potatoes were full of salt Coffee had to be generic version of Folgers

This is a great place to just relax and enjoy the scenary. We got to sit outside even though there were 5 in our group. They’ll make exceptions here and there depending on how busy they are. Service was great, very friendly waitress. And the food was pretty good. We mostly got snack foods, but most of it was excellent. We split a tuna melt, cheese sticks, nachos and an apple pie a la mode. I think the reason I liked it so much was because they didn’t overdo it. The sandwich wasn’t overloaded for example. Everything was a good size. Oh. and the coffee is excellent. The lemonade was pretty good too(not too sweet or tangy). Would definitely recommend.
