I love the meat counter here. A great store and I am a regular here. I love the way it is set up. I just wish the parking lot wasn’t so weird with parking. It’s all staggered and congested but I’ll deal with it to get really good hot links from the counter

Favorite Grocery Store in the OC! Wonderful prices for their meats! Kind employees who develop relationships with their customers! We used to shop here regularly, however, we moved and the drive is a bit far with a newborn. I’m hoping one day they’d open a store up in RSM!

We used the catering services in the deli. We ordered cupcakes, brownie tray and lemon goodie tray from the bakery. All delicious. We also ordered all kinds of trays from the deli, sandwiches, rollups. Cheese and salami. Once again the food was great. All trays where setup and garnished beautifully. The Deli and Bakery managers were awesome. Food was ordered several days prior and made the day of the party. Everything was ready for pickup when promised. I would use them again and recommend.

It’s a great market to get your quick pick items. Not a large organic section for produce. Yes, it is a geriatric type of store, but you get through it, and you get out of the store. I’ve had no problems with staff. They are helpful when you can find them on the floor, and the cashiers are friendly and professional.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. Good prices, great meat. This location is clean with low wait times. No bs member cards to carry around. If you want whole foods, go to whole foods.

Preferable food items over Von’s or Ralph’s for me. Wish the meat aisle was stocked up more and fresher. Great caramel peach pies and specialty breads with sesame or poppy seeds. I wish grocery stores would eliminate about ½ of the aisles and put in heathier foods. Too many overly sweet or salty foods.

I never look forward to going to stater bros, I feel embarrassed to say I shop there since it’s so close to my house. I miss my Albertsons where everyone was so friendly and personable, prices were cheaper, and there were self checkouts. I wonder why stater bros loves the 90’s so much. It was the best decade, but time to upgrade man! It’s been pretty consecutive the last 5 times I’ve been there past 8:30 to pick up an item or two that there is only one cashier open that inevitably leads to a severe back up and just one problem or set back occurs which makes things compoundedly worse. I don’t understand why it always has to get to that point before something is done. Why not at least take some preventative measures? Is it that efficient or money saving to have one cashier during those hours? It wouldn’t be so bad if there was at least one self checkout… It is what it is I guess. Cashiers have been cordial, very youthful atmosphere, I actually feel old now. You’ll find what you need. You get stater brothers quality for a stater brothers store. It wouldn’t be fair to compare it to somewhere like whole foods.

Twice i have been here and have found worms in their seafood. First time i told the butcher and he apologized and acted like he was going to remove all the salmon off the shelf. I didnt purchase fish because of this incident. 2 days later went back to get cereal and wanted to see if they had new fish. NOPE. EWWWSAMEWORMESFISHTHAT U COULDSEEALIVE!!! Ewwww just ewwwww never ever coming here again. I told the butcher again and he just apologized. Seriously thats just nasty

Nearly got a whiplash today, as I did a double take, walking by the meat department at my local Stater Bros. Someone had a very good time setting up the tilapia display today! Much appreciated. Thank you for the giggles!

I took a photo of a salad dressing because I wanted to ask someone if that was the brand I was to buy and was told by an employee there were not pictures allowed in the store. Seriously?

I stop by this Stater Bros. in Lake Forest almost daily to catch a quick snack from their deli section. Great sandwiches and their selection of cold drinks is always a draw: great deals on energy drinks and bottled water. The service and staff have always been delightful at this location, and they make it a point of being very respectful and accommodating to the older customers that frequently shop there… The dairy and produce sections are well stocked and everything is always fresh. The standout at this market is the meat department; a fantastic variety of fresh meats, fish and poultry, and it’s meticulously maintained with at least five butchers that are there ready to serve you. Their prices are hard to beat as well with a great selection of items that I tend to regularly purchase and a lot of popular discounted items as well. It’s a large, very clean and organized grocer that I tend to go out of my way to shop at because they always do it right.

The associates at this location, particularly the cashiers, are incredibly rude and have ruined any good opinion I previously had on Stater Bros. Just this evening, I set my three items down at an express lane and the cashier, the bagger, and another employee stood there chatting with each other and ignoring me. The only word that was said to me was«here» when I was handed the receipt. This is not the first time a cashier has been blatantly unhelpful and ignored me, but tonight did assure that I will never return to this location or any other Stater Bros store. I have had very sour experiences that last 3 consecutive times I’ve been at this exact location, each time hoping it was a freak occurrence. Apparently, the cashiers/associates/store just don’t care about the customers. If you want to be actually acknowledged as a customer when you check out, I recommend going to literally any other store anywhere else. Whoever manages this Stater Bros should really work on training the associates better. Even a simple, «Hi, did you find everything okay» would have been sufficient. It’s not rocket science.

I go here to grocery shop all the time! The produce is pretty cheap and the quality is fresh. They even offer a variety of ethnic produce compared to other grocery stores and that’s why I love coming here. Their aisles are very organized and are easy to move through compared to a Neighborhood Walmart where you would have to maneuver your cart through employees stocking their merchandise all the time. And the best part is. they don’t have a membership card or a savings card that you would have to sign up in order to receive discounts because they already have the prices lowered to where it should be. That’s how grocery prices need to be… straight to the point. The employees are pretty helpful when you need to find a product and the baggers always ask if you need help with carrying your groceries into your car. I’m definitely a fan of this grocery store! Note: Pay attention to the price tags, you might be able to score some deals when you pay at the register. Deals like«Buy 1 get 1 free» or «10 of this item for $ 6» etc. They are pretty good!

One word: GERIATRIC. If you don’t know what it means, look it up. Now I don’t necessarily mean this in a derogative way, but then again maybe I do. This location is swarming with slow moving, cute, old people. There I said it. I am a vegetarian and this location doe not cater to my type! A few weeks ago, some friends and I planned a camping trip and I was in charge of the food(a task I happily volunteered for!). All I wanted were some tofurkey dogs to throw on the grill with the big boys. But even the ‘real’ meat selection was lacking. To save time and energy, I was looking for pre-made raw hamburgers, however they do not offer this type of convenience. It was a fail! I ended up having to go to Trader Joe’s upon leaving Stater Bros to finish my shopping trip — of course TJ had tofurkey sausage AND pre-made burgers for my boys. But talk about a time suck. I should note that I am a loyal Trader Joe’s shopper, however Stater Bros is closer to our apartment and I was already running late. In the end, I should have stuck with my guns and gone to Trader Joe’s, avoiding this place all together. Not only is the food selection very lacking here but they never have enough registers open… at least have an express line! STAYAWAY. The 2-stars are purely for the Redbox. They have two kiosks inside the farthest entrance/exit(from El Toro) and that is truly the best thing about this place.

This is my favorite chain grocery store to shop at. It is also my florist, my pharmacy and my deli. Stater Brothers knows about good customer service. They treat their employees well, have low prices, and they always have what I am looking for. Their pharmacists know my by name and are always fast getting my prescriptions ready. Their employees are always very friendly. In addition, I always get many compliments on the flowers and bouquets I buy there for the leading ladies in my life. I also like the cuts of meat that I get there and the deli cuts are always for sale at a good price without having to mess with coupons. There is plenty of parking in the lot and always a lot of shopping carts. The store is much larger than many of the stater brothers I used to remember going to many years ago. It also has a bank branch on the inside and the restrooms in the back of the store are always clean. They also stock Fireball Whiskey for like $ 15 a bottle! :-)
