Mistakenly gave a check for $ 300 made out to someone else. They crossed the name off of my check, put their name on the line and deposited the check. Isn’t that forgery?

I love this company and I love my two housekeepers. They are thorough and fast. I appreciate the email reminders they send. This is a very professional company to have in your home.

Won’t admit or fix when they have done something wrong.

Sent one person instead of 2 to clean my house. I can’t see where she cleaned anything. Charged me $ 195. Did not return my email or voice mail. What a scam.

I could not have been more impressed with the overall service and work quality provided by South OC maids. I was moving out of my apartment and they managed to not only have my place spotless but were also the primary reason I was able to get 100% of my security deposit back from my landlord. I am going to refer them to everyone I know. Super happy!

Until recently, I always thought that paying more than $ 10 per hour to have someone come clean our home was a waste of money. Then our last cleaners took off with more than $ 250K worth of my wife’s jewelry and my coin collection. To make a long and frustrating story short, these people left the country and are nowhere to be found. To add to our«how could we have been so stupid» feeling, we never even bothered to check if they were using their real names when we hired them. No background check, no SS# verification, no driving record. Nothing. Needless to say, we have been more than sensitive about hiring ANYONE to clean our home. We both travel for work 1 – 2 weeks per month and when our schedules overlap we need to have peace of mind that whoever is in our home working is not going to take advantage of us. We tried to do the cleaning ourselves, but that lasted a couple of weeks and the place still looked dirty. Then one day we got this nice postcard from South OC Maids with the catchy phrase«Who Do You Trust To Clean Your Home?». I swear I called them just to pick a fight with them. How dare they rub salt on our wound in such a cruel manner??? When we talked to Gustavo(the owner) on the phone, he surprised us by giving us some very helpful tips on how to qualify personal service vendors in general, and cleaning services in particular. He even gave us his insurance agent email and phone number so we could verify his insurance coverage and some of the background checking practices his company adheres to. He did this long before he asked for an appointment to bid for the business. We set an appointment a week later so we would have time to talk to other cleaning companies. Everyone else we called, including some of the big franchise companies, were evasive about disclosing their liability insurance information and background check practices. A few of them asked us to come by their office to interview them there. Yeah right… as if we had time to do that! South OC Maids looked better and better after each call we made. We asked Gustavo to let us meet the maids who would be cleaning our home and we met Janine during the first interview. She and her crew have been cleaning our home since early December and they have been a blessing to have. They bring treats for our dogs. They get the job done in a timely manner. They are sensitive about our need for quiet when we work at home. They are observant and communicative when something needs attention. They even introduced us to other vendors to get new flooring and window covers. The house is clean again and we are happy. And like the previous reviewer noted, this company pricing is not for those on a shoestring budget. But to us, they’re worth every penny.
