Grainger might be a good place to work, but it’s a substandard joint to do business with; privately, corporate, or via government. They spend a lot of money in marketing to court you with e-mail advertising, but when it comes to the customer relationship part, during and after the buy, they fall short. Way, way short on the follow-up and follow-through. Patronize your local businesses, people. Don’t send your money to Lake Forest, Illinois, they don’t need it there, you need it in your town.

Great place to work, beautiful building, friendly approachable people, gym and nurse in the building, large open and bright cafeteria, indoor waterfall, open desks for easy info sharing, food is great! Sushi comes in from Chicago! Not only is the food tasty, there are healthy options AND it’s very affordable.

Update: 2÷13÷13 I received a call from Grainger this morning from a rep, who apologized for the snafu. He admitted that the issue was on their end and that I had no reason not to expect that my order was placed. He assured me that the issue was resolved and again apologized for what happened with my order. I am satisfied with the followup phone call & apology.
