The Green House Salad Co.

OMG!!! The salads are good but the service is horrible!!! I’m here on a Saturday and the customers are getting impatient because they are extremely slow and the line is getting longer and longer!!! There is no sense of urgency whatsoever!!! Horrible service!

This place is much needed for the area. There doesn’t seem to be many options for healthy restaurants here. I was told their romaine and kale lettuces were organic but they also had spinach, iceberg and mixed greens. Maybe their organic selections are different by the day? I chose to customize my salad although they have their own signature salads on the menu… lotta options here. I chose a mix of the kale and romaine and went down the line with additional options, a protein, a crunch, cheese and dressing. There were interesting flavor choices of oils and vinegar; am glad they also have the basics too. They also make tasty beverages like blackberry mint lemonade, frozen lemonade, strawberry lemonade and other fresh juices… was a bit too sweet for me. They also had a soup when I came in that day… Green House Chopped Soup with carrots, celery, broccoli and green onion. Service was great — the staff was friendly. Overall, I would definitely come back here again. My salad was delicious and I didn’t have that feeling that I get after I’ve eaten something deep fried, like last night. :)

A very welcome addition to Lake Charles. There are not too many place were you can eat for your wellbeing, but this is one of them and it is high on the list. The Vegan is delicious with jalapeño infused olive oil and ginger infused vinegar. It is a great way to enjoy your kale! I am glad to see that it has a steady flow of patrons, it can be sustained. The frozen lemonade is very refreshing.

Great healthy option! So many choices to put in your salad. Huge portion size, it is pricey. Be sure to ask for extra dressing, you’ll need it! They charge for everything extra so be careful not to add alot. They also sell fresh squeezed juices.

This is a newer spot in Lake Charles and admittedly something I was craving on my latest visit — salad. There’s just not a lot of healthier choices when it comes to fast food in town.
The specialty salads were all appealing and can be personalized by adding a protein of choice, changing the salad dressing, or even opting out of certain items. Everything was fresh and tasty. The prices are a bit higher than comparable places I’ve eaten elsewhere but The Green House Salad Co definitely hit the spot.
