Service was lousy, dining room was gross, and the eggs benedict I ordered had eggs cooked over-hard instead of poached. Plus, the English muffin wasn’t even toasted so it was extremely chewy and difficult to cut, and the hollandaise sauce was lumpy for some reason. At least the price isn’t bad for the amount of food you get. If you don’t have high standards for your breakfast food(or probably any other meal) then this is the place for you!

Solid breakfast food, good price, cheerful & polite service. The only problem was technical. I ordered the breakfast pile and added cheese & gravy. Apparently their system has trouble with adds to orders, so they didn’t add the cheese & gravy. They fixed the plate, but they didn’t fix the system. Sunday Feb 28.

Quaint little diner. Yummy breakfast. If your looking for a good hearty breakfast I recommend this place. Had the country pile and it was delicious!

I’m giving this place one star. Serve was very slow. We were here 35 mins before we got our food. When we got it my son and I had the poboys and the bread was molded. At first the girl was like it’s just off the grill and we said no you can clearly see the mold hairs. All we got was a I’m sorry. No discount or only thing. Will not be returning.

We went to Lake Charles to gamble but we also didn’t want to stay in the casinos to eat the whole time we were there so my boyfriend and I decided to venture out. This is one of the first things that came up for breakfast so we gave it a try. When we arrived it didn’t seem like anything special, just an old dinner. But once we looked at the menu we were very glad we chose this place. The menu was decent size(not to big to be overwhelmed and had a good variety). The items are also very reasonable. We are typically used to $ 10-$ 15 per person for breakfast in Austin so this seemed like a steal. If we go to Lake Charles again we will definitely hit this place up. It is a short drive from L’auburge.

I have been going to PG’s for many years now. The staff is friendly, customer service is fantastic, and food is really good. They have what may be the best hamburger in Lake Charles. And don’t forget the amazing onion rings. Will continue to be a regular!

Compared to the Pitt Grill restaurant in Prien Lake, PG’s Diner is way better. In terms of service and food. My husband and I are very satisfied after the horrible experience we had from the other Pitt Grill Restaurant in Prien Lake.

My family had lunch there on a Sunday. It was probably some of the worse food I have had in a while. I got the special which was brisket with rice and gravey. The rice was crunchy and it was barbque brisket. My wife got a pot roast sandwich which was horrible. I could not even eat it and I am not very picky.
