I typically love Rainforest Café, but this experience left a poor taste in my mouth. We had an 8:00pm reservation, and signed in around 7:30 for our reservation. By 8:30, they still hadn’t called our name and when we asked the lady signing in guests up front about the estimated wait time, she was extremely short tempered and impolite. We ended up leaving around 8:40, hungry and disappointed. Such a sad way to end a day while on vacation in Florida…

Wow, I came on just to simply upload a couple photos and discovered this location’s low rating! I’m guessing it has to do with Unilocalers not understanding the volume of business this place does, given its situated within Disney’s Animal Kingdom afterall… When we dined here back in early April, we had a lovely time. Our food took quite a bit longer than a normal breakfast joint, but its to be expected at a tourist attraction! Two tips for brunch-goers that enjoy sweet and savory: — Breakfast Pizza is fantastic! It has a kick to it, but all toppings are evenly portioned and spread throughout. — Cranberry Pancake is massive! I felt there were too many craisins(spelling, cranberry raisin things) but still exceptionally tasty! Yum!

My favorite place to eat at Disney. Our server was fantastic and the food was yummy. The atmosphere is so neat! The«animals» come to life. Gorillas, monkeys, and elephants make noise and move. There is a «storm» that occurs occasionally. There’s «lightening», «thunder», and the elephants even get spooked by it. Pretty cool concept. The food was very good, even my kids ate almost all of theirs!(They can be picky… especially the 3 year old.) I definitely recommend trying it out. Eating dinner in a jungle theme? Awesome. Great memories made here and we will stop by every time we come to the Animal Kingdom.

This was one of the WORST experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I checked in with the hostess around 6PM, she assured me that the restaurant does not get very busy, so if I came back around 7:30, I wouldn’t have to wait long. They don’t take reservations in person. We returned at 7:30 to find that there was a 50 minute wait(of course). We waited those 50 mins, then 20 more-by then, I was starting to complain to the hostess that we’d waited far longer than we should have to. They also seated several people who checked in AFTER us-when I pointed this out, she stated they had reservations-yet I was actually INLINE with one of those people, and she checked in, just like I had, around 7:30-I don’t care for the lies. Finally we were told our table would be available soon. 15 minutes later, we were seated. The waitress was SUPER sweet. I felt bad for her actually-because we’d waited so long, I already felt annoyed overall. I ordered a beer, which arrived warm. I didn’t drink much of it, since warm beer is just wrong. Our food arrived at 9:45 pm. My husband ordered a taste of the Islands(fish), I ordered steak and shrimp scampi and my daughter had mac n cheese with fresh fruit. Ok, my food was cold, the steak was SO hard to cut and the shrimp scampi? 3 shrimp-no joke. Yet my dish cost $ 27.99?! Insanity. We quickly ate, since it was LATE and the bill arrived. For myself, my husband, and our 4.5 year old, one beer and regular drinks otherwise-$ 115. It’s really disgusting to me that Disney would allow such price gouging. Usually, when I think Disney, I think quality and value-I’d be happy to pay that price for an excellent meal-but to wait 2 hours and then have really junky food? I’m not a happy customer. I will NEVER return to a Rainforest Café again. I’ll be telling every single person I know how horrible it is and to skip it!

Pretty cool place. Atmosphere caters to kids. Very very busy, almost certain you should have reservations, otherwise plan to wait awhile. Food was pretty good, I order a shrimp and scallop platter and everything was well seasoned and very tasty. Service was good as well. It took a while to get our food, but overall a good place. I would recommend.

Although we got greated quickly we had to wait a lot for everything else. We had a very unnatentive server, every plate we got was filthy, never got refills(not even on the waters) and the managers were clearly on the floor but not touching tables, so no one notice what was going on. The food was okay, but it wasn’t a good experience.

I knew it was a classy place as soon as they told me to stop roller blading. I quite respectfully tucked my blades underneath the dense rubber foliage underneath the salad bar and sat down waiting to feast. The chef had me inspect the catch of the day-frozen shrimp it was the exact texture I knew I wanted but rather than soil my palette and my checkbook-I escaped the restaurant. I wasn’t ready, I just wasn’t ready. I rollerblader home with shrimp sized tears rolling out of my eyes. Anyone else ever been?

We love this place! Every time we go to Disney this is a must stop. The chocolate lava cake is the best. Friendliest bartenders, James, Mike and Angela make us feel welcome year after year

We ordered the 4 the same plate. Jenifer took the order wrong of all companions. My steak was over cook. The manager came and said us nothing. Not a good experience. Ordenamos los 4 el mismo plato. Jenifer tomo la orden mal de todos los acompañantes. Mi carne pasada de cocción. El manager vino y no nos dijo nada. Para nada una buena experiencia.

My expectations were exceeded because I honestly was not expecting such an awesome lunch. Why, you may ask? Because this is a big, themed, intricately decorated chain restaurant tucked away in a famous amusement park… I expected the quality of the food to be just a step above park food! The food was amazing though. I passionately enjoyed my BBQ bacon cheeseburger, which was a carnivore’s dream meal. It was juicy, cheesy, and the smoky sweetness of the BBQ sauce added a spectacular flavor to the beef. The coleslaw I ordered as a side was great too and paired well with the BBQ flavor, of course. My mom ordered the same burger and agreed that it was delicious, so I promise I’m not exaggerating. According to my boyfriend, his turkey wrap and mashed potatoes were phenomenal. I guess we just ordered the right meals! My only gripe is that the food is pricy, but hey… this is Disney, right?

Stopped in here the other day with my family to grab a quick lunch. There was a line out the front door so we grabbed seats at the bar. All I could say is that the service was fantastic the food was very good came and came out quickly. I have nothing negative to say and I would definitely return.

Located right outside of Animal Kingdom, this restaurant is almost always guaranteed to be packed. I highly recommend calling ahead and /or having reservations. You may still wait, but it will definitely save time. The bar is also first come, first serve if you want to eat there. Once seated the menu actually has quite a lot of choices. The hubs and I both have allergy concerns, so the chef popped out to do a quick review of what we wanted to ensure safety. This was awesome! The portion sizes are most definitely shareable. You could easily get an app and entrée and share with someone. Prices are a bit steep here for what the meals are, portion size included. It’s a special occasion, tourist restaurant for sure. Overall: B You’re at Disney, enjoy the whole tourist package and get a meal here!

This place is a serious tourist trap. Garbage service and overpriced mediocre food with a long wait. Yea. It’s as awesome as it sounds. Might as well get food inside of Animal Kingdom.

Overall Service: Good service, needs improvements at the Host station, they are not completely organized and are constantly on the move. Asking them questions is a challenge. Staffs response about complaints: I did not give one. Recommendations: Two ** stars or less dont consider. Three *** stars be cautious. Four **** stars or more highly recommended. Quick Notes: My first time here was when it first opened. I had the best experience here. I just wished the Chicken Rainstixs were still on the menu. They were very popular. My reviews are structured and rated in many areas. I believe that my experiences will provide consumers satisfactory or acceptable in quality or quantity information. I hope this particular review has helped you carefully decide whether or not to give this venue your business. Enjoy, Jonathan

Pricey but large servings enough to share. There are loud jungle sounds every 15 – 20 mins, so just be aware. Long wait times for the table, but at least you can walk around the store that is attached. Food is usually always delicious, but we aware for those with allergies. Just ask first.

Just a quick update(and to be clear) this is for the Rainforest Café located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Be sure and read my previous review below for a more in depth rant. In addition to serving food, this place provides a wonderful bonus service. It’s a secret litmus test for jerks! Yep, that’s right. If you suspect you may be dating an ***hole, just take them here. They will reveal their true colors right before your eyes. As I’ve said before, if you can’t be happy here, just get in the box; you’re done! If you’re dating someone who starts grumbling while visiting here, run! Run far, run fast. My X had a fit here about 17 years ago and I wish I’d taken off then… trust me on this! If it’s a family member; well… you’re stuck. Don’t bring them next time. Anyway, the unrealistic expectations people place on this restaurant are simply insane. I eat here just about every time I come to Disney and have a nice little fake safari. I had the breakfast pizza this time out and it it truly challenged my masculinity. When you read other reviews and people gripe about the portion size, they must be beasts! When I saw, «breakfast pizza» on the menu, I’m thinking a cute little flat bread thing that I’d knock out in a few minutes… Noooo, this was a full-on pizza. Like a big-ass, «I’m gonna need a nap» after I eat this thing, pizza. Big enough for a couple people, easily.(See pics below) This is just one of many examples I could give you, but I don’t want to get repetitive. Read my previous review. Everything stands and a year later, I see the same grumbling, yet the food and service were excellent for every sane person there. Check it out. Have fun… all is well here;-) –Neil NOTE: Be sure and follow me on Unilocal for my other Disney reviews. Chances are, if I like it, you will too. Ya know; ’cause I’m somewhat sane according to my therapist. See that little icon under my name to the left that says, «Follow this person on Unilocal?»…click that! We’ll be buds! Seriously, do it. I’m shallow and need that sort of validation in my life.

This place is great when outing with the kids. The food is good, portions are huge, and the ambiance is great. Kids love to see the animals like attractions, the lightings, and all kind of jungle sound effects. I had the turkey club and it was good. This is a great option to the food in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Pretty cool place to eat and start a wonderful day at the Animal kingdom. Kids loved everything here. Not only dine under the trees, there are aquarium tanks with the tropical fish; the animals making sounds and the occasional thunders. Food is definitely better than the buffet or prefixed disney menu item. Kids got the pizza and popcorn shrimp which come with drinks. Adults decided to share a seafood combo with coconut shrimps, grilled tilapia, and cheese scallop/shrimp. In short, we finished everything quickly and had the appetite to get the volcano dessert. I really liked the seafood combo. The grilled fish fillet was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The cheese scallop was a great top for my side salad. The coconut shrimp was too sweet for me however my hubby liked those. The volcano dessert was huge and fancy. More than enough for all of us. Huge brownies with ice cream and whipped cream on the top. Perfect. Services were excellent. Remember the restrooms are under the rainbow. Really liked this place.

I was going to give 3 stars until one of party members got severly sick on the food. He had the steak and shrimp so beware! He stayed home all day and missed a full day in the Disney Park with our family. He was stuck running back and forth to the bathroom with both ends on fire. Not to mention the food was hit or miss. We loved some entrees and sides and disliked others: We had a Steak that was way too well done for being a medium well. There was no pink in the middle. We tried the cedar plank Salmon with gree nbeans and rice. The salmon was bland, it wasn’t my cup of tea and I wish it had a sauce on the side for more flavor. The grean beans where delicoius but the rice was very dry. We got a Shrimp and fish entrée which was very good. Make sure you try the cheesy shrimp scallop dish-this was everyone’s favorite. Their Burgers are good. No complaints here. We got the Volcano dessert –an ice cream, brownie, and whip cream which the waitress brings screaming at the top of her lungs«Volcano!». Too funny! If you bring little kiddies the experience of being here is very fun. Our 10 years old loved the random thunder storms that fill up the restaurant(if you hate noise, run from this place), not to mention random animals screeches heard throughout. He loved the waterfalls, fish tanks, talking animals and moving animals throughout. Our waitress even encouraged him to walk around to the empy spots in the restuarnt to take it all in(how sweet). They have a cool bar with a mushroom roof & animal bar stool legs. Again cool atmosphere(but loud) which deserves 5 stars. Overall if our member had not gotten sick, the food would get 3 stars for being hit or miss which isn’t too shabby. After reading past reviews, I see they need to fix their food standards. We aren’t the only ones with such a sad ending.
