Another medical conference, another central Florida near-Disney hotel and… you know what? Andiamo actually was a pleasant surprise in a city of packaged entertainment. I wasn’t expecting much for starters and that expectation remained grounded after the first interaction with our waiter who’s internal processor must have used 1’s compliment logic: if I said left, he went right. If I said fish, he asked how I wanted my meat cooked, etc. Long day maybe, who knows? Anyway, this is about the food. Food that comes in pretty large quantities that is. First off, the house salads(Insalata Andiamo) were actually really good. I’d discount it only because it was closing in on 10am and I might have had an «I’ll eat basically anything put in front of me» bias, but I doubt it. Greens were fresh and the accoutrement rightfully complementary with no excess of dressing. The main event for me was the Lobster Porcini pasta. Basically pappardelle, Basil, Porcine mushrooms and of course lobster in a pretty standard white wine sauce. Executed well. Nothing thrilling and the celery pieces were a bit large but hey… again, it was quite tasty. I had a Negroni that was actually… no I had two negronis that were for the record books; it’s remarkable where good cocktails are made if you think about it. The signature drinks are pretty good here given my pallette. Oh, also at the table we also had Eggplant parmesan and requisite stuff for kids, too, but it was passable, kinda like the service… but I put that squarely on Mr. Inverse Logic and hopefully that wasn’t representative of their entire waitstaff. All in all, if(when) I find myself on the Buena Vista side of Mickey hell again, I actually will look forward to dropping by… if only to see if I was delusional or whether or not Andiamo is truly holding its own. Right now, my bet is with the latter.

This restaurant totally sucks. 25 min wait for an empty restaurant. 60 minutes for an an appetizer. An hour and 20 minutes to get entrees. Nothing worth this. Orlando in general does not understand service or quality. I guess the car is lower here. Pathetic excuse for a restaurant.

Called ahead on New Year’s Eve and was told no wait. I came and the place was practically empty at 6:30 and they told me I would have to sit at the bar with my girlfriend. How romantic. They say it’s booked but where is everyone? When I leave I guarantee this place will still be empty, but hey, at least Unilocal exists. Food is good, but the whole time I was thinking about how I was eating it in the bar area with a bunch of empty tables around us. I recommend this place over any Disney Springs restaurant all this being said. Hopefully they’ll write me.

I was pleasantly surprised about this place, definitely. My father was staying at the Hilton and in the past we’ve done Benihana so I didn’t want to go there again. Craving some Italian food, I crossed my fingers and we went in. Definitely standard Italian fare, I’d definitely rate it above the Olive Garden’s and Macaroni Grill’s of the world. Started with two salads, both fresh and filling. Also had the brushetta which I really enjoyed. The bread was perfectly toasted and the tomatoes were seasoned nicely. Two of us has the chicken parm and agreed we enjoyed it. We had to ask for extra sauce but we usually do at most places. My other friend had the eggplant parm and she also said it was good. Dessert was a slight miss. Had the mini tiramisu and it was very watery and the chocolate mousse mini dessert was mostly chocolate cake. Nice flavor but not what we were expecting. Service was friendly and on point as well. We wouldn’t go out of our way to come here since it’s in the Hilton but if I ever have family staying there again, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Nothing spectacular about this place. Their appetizers — the bruschetta is great, but the eggplant rollatini is meh. I had their eggplant parmesan — which had an excessive amount of cheese with no flavor. They have a good selection of wines, but majority of the good ones are only available in bottles. Their gelato is great — I had two scoops of Vanilla and Chocolate flavors. Overall an ok experience.

Excellent food and really sweet folks working there. We were staying upstairs with the kiddos already asleep and wanted something a little more than just straight room service. Super kind bartender worked with me to put together a specially cooked meal and a great Tuscan wine to go with it. He even packed it up for me with real plates and wine glasses. We had a delightful evening back in our room. The food was delicious. I don’t eat a ton of pasta but this was perfect– perfectly cooked with great sauces and sides. Wine was a perfect match. You wouldn’t expect this sorta thing in a family hotel next to Disneyworld but it was a very welcome surprise.

Apparently, someone read previous reviews and decided to do something about it! My family and I stayed at the Hilton and just happened to pop in for happy hour. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and was blown away! By far the best I’ve ever had! Real spinach, creamy, hot, & great roasted garlic flavor. So we decided to return for dinner and we were VERY glad we did! Orecchiette, meatballs, salad & everything else was outstanding! Give Andiamo a shot and you’ll be glad you did!

For a hotel restaurant, this was a pleasant surprise. I believe that Andiamo is only open for dinner and I’m not saying I’d make a trip from elsewhere, but if you’re staying in the hotel it is not a bad option. The menu covers Italian standards and also offers a few steaks. Prices are in the mid-20’s for pastas and $ 30−40ish for steaks or fish, so it’s not a cheap option. That said, the service was excellent and attentive and my bolognese sauce was pretty good. The portions are absolutely huge though, so know that in advance if you come with kids or light eaters.

Aaaaaahhhhhhh… no. Service was good. Food sucked. Very greasy lasagne. Wine glass had lipstick on it, not washed properly. Wife’s chicken sauce was not cooked right. Very expensive for what you get, even in a hotel restaurant. Would have rated it even lower, but the server was super nice.

Ok this is a mixed review, but this review is a warning for all single female business travelers. I was staying at the hotel last week for a conference, and tried to eat here by myself on the first night. The host(who took a good 5 or so minutes to appear) told me my wait would be 15 minutes. I said ok. She then put 20 minutes down on her pad, and I got a bad vibe about the restaurant. Decided to check out the benihana and there was no wait at all. The next night, I called from my room and asked them what the wait would be for one person right now. The host said there is no wait right now. I literally got my stuff and was downstairs at the restaurant in less than 8 minutes. I then try to eat at the restaurant and am told that if I sit at a table in the restaurant, there will be a long wait for food. She then suggests I eat at the bar which is filled with single women eating by themselves, and one couple. I got a really bad vibe from the host that I was not wanted because I was a single female eating alone. Now you might call me paranoid, but how can a restaurant suddenly get busy in 8 minutes? I have traveled around the world by myself, have eaten out by myself all over the world, and have never been treated like that. I ended up complaining to the concierge of the hotel because it really bothered me, and he was wonderful. Really wonderful, and ending up getting me a table. I ended up speaking to the manager who gave me some ridiculous excuse that in 8 minutes«there could have been reservations already». That makes no sense! I did end up eating there, and the food was ok and the service was ok by my waitress but this is a warning for all single female travelers. And the restaurant was kinda noisy, and there were plenty of empty tables.

Since our hotel didn’t have a restaurant, we decided to dine at Adiamo to carb load on the eve of our race. We had planned to dine at another restaurant nearby but the wait was over an hour. No thanks. So, we walked across the street to the Hilton where this restaurant is located, and dined here instead. Despite it being a Saturday night, the restaurant was nearly empty. We were kind of worried about that for a moment. They had a 3 course meal special for $ 30 which gave you a salad, entrée and a dessert. I would’ve gone this route but none of the entrees looked appealing to me. My sister ended up going with the special selecting the mixed green salad, spaghetti and meatballs and a tiramisu for dessert. The salad was tasty(I had a few bites) but she said the spaghetti and tiramisu were underwhelming. I didn’t taste the spaghetti but the tiramisu was awful. Way too soggy and absolutely no texture. We both could not take more than bite out of it. We kind of mushed it around so it didn’t look so bad when our waitress came to pick up the dish. For me, I really lucked out with my simple Chicken Alfredo dish. A very rich dish that had a nice creamy base and great flavor. I know this dish was way unhealthy but it was worth it. So yummy! I added lots of crushed red pepper flakes and it made it even more tasty. I’m was happy I went with this dish and in the end was not only completely satisfied… completely stuffed! I loved the ambiance of this restaurant though. It had this lounge feel to it and was very relaxing. I wish I could’ve ordered a glass of wine but being that the next morning was race day, I did not indulge. Next time… If you’re staying at the Hilton, you can’t go wrong with ordering the chicken alfredo. Pricey at $ 26 but at least it’s good. =)

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Hotel on a recent Saturday trip to the Epcot Center. I had seen the previous reviews of the Andiamo and, since they were either great or very poor, tried to get in to the Benihana restaurant that is the hotel as well. After being told it would be a 45 minute wait(my 1st rule of restaurants is that no food is worth a 45 minute wait, only some 30, and most 0 – 15 minute), we walked down the hall to the Andiamo and were promptly seated. Now, when you see a $$$ on reviews in categories of $$$$ or $$$$$, you know its not going to be a $ 10 meal. So, having stepped into the establishment, I won’t consider a somewhat high price as a detriment in my review. That is, unless it turned out the be a $$$$$ instead of a $$$. The entrée prices are around $ 20-$ 30 per entrée not including the drinks, appetizer or dessert. However, they offered a special for the night which included a choice of an appetizer/salad, an entrée, and a dessert from 3 choices for each taken from their menu for $ 30. My wife went with the special offer and chose the Insalata Andiamo(salad), the Orecchiette Rusticanna(Chicken/Broccolini/Artichokes/Gorgonzola Sauce) and a chocolate mousse for dessert. She was very happy with all. The chocolate mousse was just right after the large entrée. I chose directly from the menu and had the Tuscan White Bean Soup. an Insalata Caprese(mozzarella slices with slices of Tomato) and the Capelli D’Angelo Fra Diavolo con Scampi(angel hair pasta with Shrimp and a Spicy Marinara Sauce) and finished with an expresso. The White Bean soup was one one of the best I’ve had. The mozzarella/tomato salad, although it had a Basil oil dripped on it, could have used some fresh cut basil as well. The Shrimp Angel Hair Pasta was huge(close to Maggiano size portions). The marinara sauce was«american» spicy not international spicy, so it could have been a notch higher on the heat but the plate was just the right number of shrimp, pasta and sauce. The ambience was a quiet, medium lit room with tables and booths. The nearby chatter was low level so we could have a decent conversation. The service was right on time so the meal flowed. The waiter was attentive and came back a few times between plate servings to see if all was well. All in all, a really good experience.

The worst Italian food I have ever eaten. I ordered the crab ravioli with artichoke hearts and broccoli and cream pesto. What I got was ravioli with way over cooked broccoli and artichokes on top drenched in a buttery sauce that made it all taste like buttery mush. You would never ever know that there was any crab anywhere in the dish. It took 1 ½ hours to get this crappy dish. It was so overlooked and awful tasting that I took three bites and spit out the last one. My wife said to send it back and I told her why? It would take another hour to get something else and I wasted enough time already. Go anywhere else, McDonald’s would be better as you know what you are getting and it wouldn’t take an hour and hold to get disgusting food.

So good for a hotel restaurant! Osso bucco and parpadelle. Yum! Service was excellent too. They’re open late and have a bar.

Found this restaurant on and thought we would give it a try and bought a $ 25 gift certificate for $ 2. Server was exceptionally good and helped out with all our questions. We had the Caesar salad and the caprese salad for starters. The caprese was great, but the Caesar was horrible. We both ordered the lasagna, which was just ok, and certainly could have been just more hot.

Tuscan white bean soup and fresh bread was yummy. Asian chicken wings appetizer was sweet and not too tangy. Just right Also had the pasta rusticana. Had broccoli, artichoke, tomato, and chicken in a gorgonzola cream sauce. It was DELISH!!! Very filling, but full of flavor. Ordered all this on room service from hotel so I cannot comment on the service or environment.

Located in the lobby of the Hilton at downtown Disney, the appeal of this place was that kids under 5 eat free. Unfortunately, entrees lacked flavor and the high prices($ 20 for the lasagna bolognese and $ 22 for the chicken marsala) didn’t make Andiamo’s a good choice. Just across the street is downtown Disney which has a number of good dining options, especially Earl of Sandwich.

Mediocre food, adequate service, although we had to ask for bread and water. Food was near cold when it arrived. Not seasoned well(too salty) Had to out of the restaurant to use the restroom. I expected more from the Hilton chain Not recommended

I know this restaurant is in a hotel but the food was great. I had the lasagna and the urugula salad, they both hit the spot. Btw the bread was fresh and warm.
