We are here right now for Father’s Day lunch. The front desk is rude and will not seat you if you are early for a reservation even though there are empty tables everywhere. We literally ordered our food 45 minutes ago and we are still waiting and we’re JUST offered some bread to «start». Come here if you want to wait one hour for any food…

Had such a great time at this restaurant. The service was excellent, the food & drinks were phenomenal, plus the restaurant truly acquired a very unique atmosphere due to its surrounding. Congrats on the décor and great locale.

This place has above average food, the view is unreal! Love the outside seating and surroundings, the service is just sooooo slow. The bartender had to read directions to make a drink. This place has a real opportunity to be amazing and the employees just don’t seem to have a sense of urgency. I prob will come back for view … Also drinks are weak and are like $ 11-$ 14 each …

Decent food. Terrible service. Bad management when they come by to apologize over and over when everything goes wrong you wish they wouldn’t.

This is located inside arrowhead resort and spa! I really loved it because of the location. It has the lake view with patio sitting! The food was really delicious as well!

Their wine flights are awesome!!! Dinner wasn’t so great. Service was good. We had the mushroom ravioli and it tasted like Costco ravioli with a jar of marinated artichoke hearts in it. Still, the wine flights are worth a visit. One of those, next to a view window, is a nice end to your afternoon.

Dined it at 11 am for lunch. Ordered some truffle fries, which took about 40 minutes. I had asked for some aioli with it because we got ketchup with the dish. Unfortunately the kitchen was out of it. I can only assume they ran out last night because we ordered the same dish last night and got a ton of aioli. For the main dish, we ordered the angel hair pomodoro and chicken pot pie. The pasta was good. The taste was right on the mark, it was just slightly oily, but still flavorful. The chicken pot pie was slightly odd. I took a picture of it and I’m not sure if it’s their twist of the pot pie… The taste was not for me. I recommend to not order it. Overall, average at best. The staff seems nice and approachable. The cooks in the back may be lacking in supplies and may not be informing the wait staff about the dishes.

IF… I could give Bin 189 minus stars, I would. I ordered the Huevos rancheros that actually sounds wonderful on the menu but upon having it brought to our table and looking at it I have never been more disappointed in a meal then I was with this one. I’m pretty generous in my reviews. This literally had three uncooked corn tortillas with terrible black beans in the middle that tasted like they came out of a can. two eggs on top that were terrible. Oh my. Uncooked. and maybe a tablespoon If that of something that was supposed to be a gourmet sauce. It was $ 14. Are you kidding me!!! A Spa resort of their stature and they serve me something that was so appalling. I called and spoke to the manager and ttoldhim just how disappointed I was in the meal. He didn’t really seem to put much emphasis on being apologetic. I hope you take this review seriously. Very disssapointed in Bin 189. Sorry…

The views at the restaurant are amazing, overlooking Lake Arrowhead, I was given a window seat, it was a little too chilly to sit outside. I had the big american wine flight, rack of lamb, and just ended with coffee. Everything was good, the potatoes were a little bland, and I didn’t get much from the Chimichuri served with the lamb. It is a nice place but its décor is a weird middle ground of french eatery, and hunting lodge. I would say if you’re staying in the area worth checking out, probably not worth making a special trip.

Although the restaurant was empty, it still took over an hour for them to prepare our food. The décor is nice but the wait was ridiculous. After we finally received our food it was a disappointment… The American burger was overcooked, the Cuban sandwich was flavorless and the bread was stale. Thanks also for charging 18% gratuity when we had 5 people eating and 3 people joined us later to chat well after we had ordered. This would have been fine, but the waitress never told us it was added, so she got double tipped for this one star experience… Thanks for nothing.

Bin 89 is the go-to top restaurants in Lake Arrowhead, Fairly predictable chef-made fare, menu is somewhat limited, however I like places with a straight-forward menu, typically these places do the menu well. So why not 5 stars, simple, this is as good as it gets in Lake Arrowhead, its all good, but its missing the«polish» one would expect from a top restaurant. that don’t make the food & service bad, just not that polished. Way to go guys, will be back for more delicious dinners.

If you’re staying at the resort, and aren’t interested in an outstanding experience, grab a bite here for 3 star food and hit or miss service. The restaurant manager, Steve, is genuinely friendly and is a big value-adder to this establishment, especially in comparison to the other service staff we’ve encountered throughout our stays here(with the exception of two of the younger guys who would get along just fine in any service environment). After grabbing lunch here yesterday, our bill was incorrect by $ 6, and when asking the female server who was nearby if she’d mind checking the total, we were given an attitude and an extremely uncomfortable(inappropriate, really) response that it was correct(it wasn’t, and the money wasn’t the issue, the principle of good business integrity and being treated questionably is). For sake of time we opted to do breakfast here, reluctantly. We decided for sake of good business on the restaurants behalf that we’d ask for yesterday’s bill to be corrected; come to find there were several bills that were inaccurate from yesterday(menu listings to actual charge numbers), which wasn’t surprising. The resort isn’t what it used to be 5 – 7 years ago, and the restaurant seems to have naturally followed suit. Would love to see management really employ good, consistent leadership and help this place earn back a 5-star reputation and experience.

location, view, atmosphere and service are all 3+ stars. however, the FOOD was a disaster! one of the worst meals i’ve had in years. how can any modern American restaurant completely fail on a bacon cheeseburger? everything on the burger was overcooked, the hard, stale brioche bun, the hard as wood planks of bacon, the dry, gritty and flavorless hamburger patty. the onion rings were so overcooked, the«crunchy» coating was more of a protective coating to preserve the onions… completely inedible. my wife’s fish & chips meal was equally awful. the fries were also overcooked to starchy dryness and the fish tasted like the oil it was cooked in was desperately expired. it’s a shame, honestly. such a comfortable and inviting restaurant, too. would not recommend… sorry

Stayed at the Resort, so my wife, children and I decided to eat here. Kourtney was excellent, but could not make up for the missteps of the kitchen. The blackhead soup literally has 2 black beans in it! My wife’s risotto was mushy and bland. We sent it back and ordered a filet, which was cooked properly. However, the sauce on top was suppose to be a red wine reduction, but had a bitter taste. The sauce ruined the steak. It took 30+ minutes to get the steak, so we settled for what we were served. We ordered dessert, which took another 30+ minutes to come out. Desserts were good, but we were about to cancel, as the kids were ready for bed. Net net our dinner took 2.5 hours. Kourtney was apologetic and very nice. Unfortunately, next time we come to this resort we will eat offsite.

Victoria is AMAZING. Seriously one of the best waitress’ I’ve ever ever had she was so tentative to my children and I. We had a large group of about 13 people and she paid attention to every single person! I am so so impressed! And Bradley was very kind and had s great sense of humor!

To say this place has gone downhill would be the understatement of the century. Aside from needing to figure out some service issues(the service was friendly, yet incredibly slow, due to seating too many people and/or slow kitchen). I ordered the chopped salad — romaine lettuce, egg, blue cheese, green onion, croutons, with a red wine vinaigrette. What came out was what looked like an appetizer — VERY small portion, and it clearly was all prepackaged. The worst part was the dressing — instead of red wine vinaigrette, it was a sweet red raspberry one. Luckily it came on the side, so I asked for a balsamic replacement. Instead, I got a side of some generic Italian(it tasked exactly like a Kraft or something). It was like what you’d get on an airplane or in a cafeteria. Two people at our table sent theirs back. The mezza plate — vegetables, pita, and hummus — was almost as bad. The pita bread was not warm, the vegetables were unappetizing, and the hummus tasted like Samba — traditional flavor. The truffle fries were fine. This place has so much potential. It’s great for a glass of wine with a view. But the food is a joke.

If I based this just on the last dinner we had at Bin 189, 2 stars would be generous. Of the 9 meals we ordered, 2 were completely inedible(singed burgers), 1 was unacceptably tiny(chicken), 1 was drowning in oil(pasta), and the rest was OK, but took almost an hour to emerge from the kitchen. When it was brought up to a manager, a 20% deduction was made, but that was insufficient. Maybe 50% would have sufficed. Comped would have been more in line with a 4 star hotel restaurant. What tempers the review is that we had a better experience the previous evening. My burger had been overcooked and came out cold, but overall the meal had been pretty good. Had there been any decent food in the village, we could have avoided this disaster of a meal.

Solid four stars. First of all, the ambiance, the view, the comfortable seating, the fireplace, the décor make this restaurant ideal! It’s really pretty. We ate here twice during our stay. For lunch we shared a shrimp Caesar salad and the burger. I got the White Flight wine flight — generous pours! It was basically 3 glasses of wine for $ 10. For dinner we started out with the garlic shrimp. Our entrees were the fish and chips and the filet mignon with cheddar mashed potatoes. We concluded our dinner with Ginger Twist tea and I asked for honey and cinnamon which they promptly brought out. Food here is good, you won’t be disappointed. Accented with the friendly service and perfect ambiance, it’s a great place to dine.

I had breakfast on Sunday, Aug. 30th, ’15 on my own at Bin 189, a restaurant located inside the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. All the years I’ve come to Lake Arrowhead and stayed at a pal’s house, I’ve never had the opportunity or desire to check out the Resort. Sunday offered me the chance to do just that. The restaurant is located in an area of the hotel that overlooks the lake. During the summer, their outside deck, also overlooking the lake, is open and busy. On Sunday morning, you could order either from the menu, or help yourself to what looked like a very nice buffet that I only gave a passing glance at, but from what I saw on others’ plates, it looked pretty AOK. I ordered a veggie omelet with tomatoes and cottage cheese instead of potatoes and toast. The omelet was very good, prepared with various fresh veggies. The side of tomatoes were so-so; a bit green, but I think that’s the norm in California.(Heck, the tomatoes you buy in southern California markets look orange outside and and green inside when you cut into them. I don’t get it!) My server, Alex, was obviously very busy. Other than having to ask for refills, she was generally efficient, professional and friendly. I would and will gladly go back to Bin 189 for breakfast.

Had dinner here with my fiancée last week. Preface: I had some problems with the service here, but the staff took the correct steps to rectify the situation and therefore I award them the highest score possible after experiencing a problem: 4 stars. We were greeted and seated very quickly, but no one ever came to greet us once we arrived at our table. After about 20 minutes, I went up to the front desk to complain, and I was told that someone would be over. A manager arrived and apologized and took our order, and informed us that drinks would be on her, which was nice of her and appeased us. Her apology was sincere and she took responsibility for the mistake, which I commend her for(even if it wasn’t her mistake). Our server was very nice and apologetic, and we told her it was all good! From then on, the service was great and so was the food. I know shit happens in a restaurant. I have a pretty good guess as to why our server didn’t know we were seated, but it doesn’t matter; the staff took the right steps to recover, and they did great! That’s really all I ask for when a mistake happens and it’s very easy to make an unhappy customer a happy one, and they did so. We will come back when we are in town!
