Thomas Barbèy Gallery

I purchased artwork for $ 725 from this gallery in August of 2015. I was assured I would receive my framed artwork in 4 – 6 weeks. As of the date of this review I have not received my artwork. I called the gallery several times and left messeges to find out the status of my order, but no one returned my phone calls or provided a written response. Luckily I paid by credit card and filed a dispute with my credit card company. I have discovered that the artwork was delivered to some address in Texas (unknown to me), which is strange because I live in Florida.
While I reserve judgment at this time, I am not comfortable with this transaction, especially since I have not received a response after at least 5 – 6 phone calls to them. At this point, I am not interested in doing any business with this gallery and the owner can keep the product! I WOULD CAUTION ANYONE TO USE A CREDIT CARD IF YOU PURCHASE ARTWORK FROM THIS GALLERY, THAT WAY YOU CAN TAKE THE NECESSARY ACTION (AS I DID) IF THERE IS A PROBLEM.
