Hope I’ve got the right location — Boss Frog is everywhere — but we received sensational service from Dave(ponytailed, fair hair, glasses). He gave us excellent tips on where to snorkel, and they paid off big time. Also, it’s nice that you can return your gear to a different location. Ribbit!

We have been visiting Maui for years and have never been treated so poorly. We received horrible customer service from Bryant at the Kahana Manor Shop but Reed at the 3636 Honoapiilani Rd Shop was great. Don’t waste your time going to the shop in Kahana and go see Reed. Thanks to Reed you didn’t loose a customer.

Booked the Old Lahaina luau 30 days in advance and received and email stating they«recieved our reservation. Thank you. «on the day of our luau we were told there was no reservations??? They stated we «must have slipped through the cracks» after looking for several options they then stated this happens all the time. Don’t chance it here and go someplace else if you want follow through customer service.

Kailen helped us book our very first Luau and snorkel trip. He was very helpful and made some great recommendations! He was very knowledgeable and insightful and not pushy at all which made it so much easier to have a meaningful conversation.

Great service, friendly, and knowledgeable. Well stocked snorkeling gear and SUPs in good working order. They helped us plan our time in Maui and arrange the highlights of our trip. Special thanks to Orron and James! Mahalo!!!

Great rental prices! Mark was really helpful and went out of his way. Giving me a map and showing me the free parking and snorkeling spots… Thanks Mark!

We had a great experience. The guy who helped us(Curtis I think?) was knowledge and upfront about everything. We were so glad to have the underwater camera. We also ended up buying the snorkeling gear because it worked so well. We would rent from them again.

What out for the SCAM! They offer really cheap snorkeling gear, but when you get to the store they explain that the equipment is junk. Then they offer the more expensive – but decent – equipment. They quoted us a price that was over the internet price. AND, they offer a 2 for 1 deal of «all their snorkeling equipment» but they don’t mention that it doesn’t apply to weekly rentals. Really, a total scam and deliberately misleading. That being said, the equipment worked fine and they gave up a nice map with good beaches to visit. Just got bummed by their attitude and the false advertising.

Guys were happy with their snorkel gear from here. They pull you in with the advertised rate of $ 1.50 but you are gonna want the better, pricier gear. If you are going to snorkel more than one day, then the weekly rates are probably best.

The ad for $ 1.50 a day snorkeling equipment is for the oldest style of equipment used. I didn’t even think that style was made anymore. So, if the low cost ad attracts you… don’t. The true cost for decent equipment is just over $ 9.00 a day. Low rating not so much for the service… but for the false advertising for sub par equipment.

woke up 7 a.m. wanted to go snorkeling and realized that the only place open was boss frog, came in met Noodle, he took care of us, got us the best gears, showed us great locations for snorkeling and zip lining. But don’t let his age fool you, this guy got a heart of a child! after returning the gears to him, he even invited us over to his house for some drinks! Noodle gave us the full maui service =) thanks for everything Noodle, youre the best!

They provide quality gear at a good price. They generally provide good recommendations on were to go for good snorkeling. One thing to be warned about is that they will set up activities for you at a discounted rate if you go to a time share presentation. The discount is not worth the high pressure presentation that eats up 4 hours of your day.

Went to buy snorkel mask. Had decent selection and I found one that fit me. Waited 15 min before we finally asked one of the guys who work there(manager?) if someone was available to help. He basically blew us off and said they were all busy and that we can wait around for when«someone is available»(They had line for trips but barely anyone at rentals and sales, so my guess is that’s much more lucrative than retail). We left without buying. Not great shop for buying equipment. Update– I gave back one star for responsive management– always appreciated.

Terrible customer service. Eric is rude and unprofessional. After waiting on hold for several minutes he gave me attitude and a very unhelpful answer to a basic general question. Avoid this place!

On my trip to Maui we decided to go here to get some beach supplies. The one thing that caught my eye is the neon sign. 1.50 snorkel set. But this is the come on. Apparently the 1.50 set leaks and is no good. What I ended up with was the 9.00 a day set. The staff was very friendly and accommodating though.

This place is fantastic! I went on a snorkeling tour and found a mouse trap stuck to my backpack. The glue was all over the bottom and I was appalled. The crew member was apologetic and said he must have missed one and tried to get the toxic glue off with his keys(not his best effort) and ended up making a small hole on my backpack. The snorkeling trip was awesome, the crew members were fun and easy going, I saw colorful fishes and 4 sea turtles. But my backpack was ruined and I was pretty bummed because it’s been with me on quite a few trips and I love that backpack. I called their customer service line and no one was particular helpful and gave me a bit of run around before getting me the right number to call. Given it was a Sunday and we were leaving Maui on Monday, I didn’t have much hope for a return call. To my surprise, a gentlemen from the company called me within an hour and offered to buy a similar backpack for me and deliver it to my hotel. When we realized that Gap no longer carried this particular style, he offered me a giftcard for the amount I paid for the backpack so I could buy one on my own. He delivered a giftcard to my hotel lobby and handed it me personally. I cannot believe the level of service I received. This is definitely the benchmark of customer service other companies should look to.
