Love the food here and the service. You can’t beat the price or the view either. Mochiko chicken and garlic furakake fries are yummy. Their drinks here are delicious too… had the Sassy Wahine. Great place for kids too. They only have outdoor seating but worked out well as weather was nice.

My favorite place in the world is Maui, and this is my favorite place to eat there. Whenever we get the chance to visit, we always eat at least one breakfast and lunch there during our trip, and usually as soon as possible after stepping off the plane. I can never wait to get there. My favorite part about eating here is eating outside in the breeze of the beach just steps away, especially at night for dinner when they light the gas tiki torches. They have great breakfast plates and I usually always get something with Moco Loco and Mac Salad.

Great food! Great atmosphere! If you want authentic Hawaiian food then this is the place to come! Oh and did I mention the prices aren’t bad either? Looks like all the seating is located outdoors which is perfectly fine because you have a great ocean view! We came here on a Thursday night and there was music next door. Sounded like live music. Honestly having the music behind us enhanced the Hawaiian experience. Can’t remember the dish I had but it included pretty much everything Hawaiian. Food was defiantly top notch. Will easily return! Great job guys!

Food looks and tastes great! Just like we hoped. Good mai tais too! Quick service. A local recommend it to us and we were not disappointed.

For lunchtime, waited about 10 minutes for a table, not bad for oceanside dining in Lahina. My husband loved his shoyu chicken plate, but I was not in love with my Chinese chicken salad. The portion size was rather large, but it lacked flavor and variety. The food also came out really fast — in less than 5 minutes — which was a little odd. The waitress, however, was friendly and attentive, and the prices are cheap for Maui.

Out of all the meals when we vacationed here in Maui this was the most disappointing. We came here from the reviews we saw here on Unilocal and word of mouth. Wish we could’ve ate somewhere else. I ordered the teriyaki beef dinner and the beef seemed to never have been seasoned at all. It was very bland and didn’t have much teriyaki or grill flavor at all. I had to add soy sauce a couple times to the meat to give it any taste. The meat itself was overcooked and was a bit chewy to say the least. The portion size wasn’t very generous for dinner and was still not full after finishing my meal. Aside from the beautiful view of the ocean and the quick service by our waitress, it just wasn’t worth it. I did like the fact that they have outdoor seating and you can enjoy yourself in the sun with the ocean breeze. Prices here aren’t too expensive for Maui and you do get your food out in a timely manner.

I love this place for the ocean view. Had my icy lava flow. Shoyu chicken is my favorite. Simple and delicious. We had a wonderful server. Jackie was terrific. She described the dessert lumpish and we just had to have it.

I don’t know why Aloha Mixed Plate carries such a low overall rating. I’ve been here several times over the past 12 years and it never disappoints. Most recently Nov ’14 and today, both times for dinner. Tonight we had 2 dinners, 1 soda, 1 Mai Tai for under $ 40! At an Ocean Front location! I had the Mahi plate. Was cooked perfectly. Lightly seasoned so you can taste the fresh flavor of the fish. Doesn’t need any creams or sauces or salsas. Service was good and quick but didn’t feel rushed. My only complaint is that the food could come out a bit hotter. This goes for both of my most recents visits.

I was really looking forward to dinning here after checking out their menu. Unfortunately, the coconut shrimp and pineapple cake I was looking forward to was no longer available. We ordered the fried noodles, Chicken salad, laulau plate, mixed plate with soy chicken, fish and beef. I found all the dishes pretty mediocre. The beef was probably the best tasting dish. The laulau tasted too salty and seemed underdone compared to the previous laulau I tried. Although I enjoyed the outside seating and view, there were couple of flies here and there. Not the best restaurant in Lahaina.

A vast array of options for almost the pickiest of eaters, Aloha Mixed Plate is a must try for Hawaii first timers or anyone looking for some good food with an amazing view. I came with a group so of course everyone ordered something a bit different(so we could each try each others dishes). Personally I had a Mai Tai and the Loco Moco(first time) which is like a meat/gravy and rice dish? I left satisfied and very full. The portions are huge here and even at 5’9160 lol I still kept half for later that night. Ultimately I’d come back if in the area and looking for the Maui food experience

When reading the reviews I was super hesitant to dine here. This place is located right behind the Canary Mall, and hugs the ocean. The view is beautiful as the sun is setting, and to our luck we were able to walk right in. NORESERVATIONS are able to be made during the winter months apparently. We were seated, the staff was very kind and our server answered all of our questions. Again, because of the reviews, and me people watching to see how much of something people were eating before i ordered, my sister and I decided on getting the Fried noodles, and the guys got the Mixed plate. Both were only okay. We also ordered the garlic fries, which were great. Due to the deliciousness on Maui, I probably will not return. Nothing WOWed me!

Definitely a fan of the mixed plate and Mai Tais! There’s happy hour specials daily till 6pm serving $ 3.5 Mai Tais, a gorgeous ocean view, and affordable delicious food. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Lahaina area!

The food was TOOSALTY! We ordered the fried noodles, lau lau, and Ali’i plate. The noodle dish was too salty and greasy, with hard, dry char siu. The lau lau was a few pieces of salty meat and a couple chunks of taro. Besides the salt, there wasn’t much taste as far as spices. You can replace the 2 scoops of rice for fries, which I did, and they were good. On the Ali’i plate, the kalua pork with cabbage was pretty good. The poi had a strange sour bite to it, almost as if it was carbonated or fermented… the lomi lomi salmon and lau lau were too salty(there was no taro in this particular lau lau). The best part of the entire meal was the square of haupia that came on the Ali’i plate. It had great coconut flavor and was nice and creamy. Overall, a disappointing meal for our last dinner in Maui. The food on the plane to Maui was better.

This place was recommended by a local and I was excited to try it but came out highly disappointed. While we had to wait 15 – 20 minutes to be seated, all outside seating with a wonderful view of the ocean was not a problem. The food. I ordered kula pig with cabbage and it had no flavor. The service was lacking. After we got out food, the water was never filled and we only saw the server when she dropped off the bill. That view though, awesome!

Great local find in Front Street. Been craving loco moco and this placed delivered. Their galbi ribs were quite good too. Kimchee side item was huge and good. Good service and reasonably priced food in Maui. Nice beach/water view and a laid back atmosphere, while listening to reggae music. I recommend it for people looking for good Hawaiian food with good prices.

I’m not sure if I came in an off day, but the food here has gone down hill. I ordered the mochiko chicken like I always do, and it was salty, mushy and inedible. There was no breading on the chicken and a small pool of oil on the bottom of my plate. I’m super disappointed since this used to be one of my favorite dishes when we come to Maui. Some of my rice was also hard. My husband had the lau lau and he said it was fine, but the portion seemed smaller. Our food came out less than 5 minutes after we ordered so that seemed suspect as well. Wonder if they have it premade/sitting out. We may be back again and hope it will be better but I would not get the same thing. Service was friendly and fast.

This place is alright in my book. It sits across the street from the backside of the Lahaina Cannery Mall, and is a nice little water-view spot away from the craziness that is Lahaina’s Main Street. The prices are very reasonable for lunch plates and the food is decent. Deciding between that and the mall food court options, I’d definitely choose this spot every time. The service here was good, and the view of the ocean was an added bonus, however this restaurant is completely outside — it can be very hot and humid! We decided to eat here because half the group was hungry while the others were not. The restaurant has a water tank and cups for patrons while you wait for your table and bench seating as well. The food came out quickly so we didn’t have to suffer for long in the heat of the day. I found the mahi to be a bit plain, but still fresh tasting, and I had it over salad that was nothing to write home about. All in all a decent faring, but wasn’t my favorite lunch spot.

Super friendly waiters and bartender the two times that we went there in the same day! We stopped for lunch because this is one of the few places that serves lau lau pork. We also had the Ali’I plate which includes a little bit of everything. I enjoyed the lau lau, halpia and the kahlua pig but thought the lomi lomi was too salty. Both came with rice and macaroni salad. Lau lau was $ 8.95 and Ali’i plate was $ 16.95. A great bang for the buck. On the way out of Lahina we stopped for Happy Hour. $ 3.50 Mai Tias(with a purple orchid garnish) and $ 1.75 Bud Light and Rolling Rock bottles. Cheapest drinks that we’ve seen in Hawaii! AMP is associated with the Old Lahaina Luau so if you like their food, you’ll like AMP’s.

Aloha Mixed Plate was suggested by a local for breakfast. Good weather allowed us to enjoy a table right by the water. Vacation always calls for mimosas for breakfast when available. AMP offered it per glass. i hope they consider making it unlimited for a fixed price in the future! The Big Kahuna omelette plate had a little of everything. Even though i love portuguese sausage, kalua pork and spam with a bunch of veggies — the eggs were more well done than i prefer. It was dry instead of light and fluffy. Great view, friendly staff and quick service but food was just okay.

Located behind the mall w/a beautiful beach view. This is an outdoor cozy restaurant. We were seated fast while our server w/our drinks took our orders just minutes before we were seated. We ordered the aloha mixed plate(13.99) and teriyaki beef(10 bucks). Teriyaki beef(served w/2 cups of rice and Mac salad) — the meat was dry and grisly; some parts of it had a noticeable freezer burn taste. Aloha mixed plate served w/2 cups of rice and Mac salad) — chicken, fish and beef were tasteless. Beef was tough and dry; chicken was dry and the fish, well it was fish. We had the Hispanic waitress and she was pretty terrible. Although she got our order fast, it wasn’t really her who served us, our food were brought by another guy and when I needed something, I had to ask another waitress for it, for she was nowhere to be seen. Not to mention, she didn’t even care to refill my empty cup. Our food took almost 30 minutes after it was placed. Because this is an outdoor restaurant, be prepared for flies and birds flying everywhere. All in all, I recommended checking out other restaurants on the other side of front street near the harbor(3 min drive/10 min walk); unless desperate for food.
