Very good. I had the All American Burger with chips, the chips are Reeeeeally crispy, which is great. The only bad thing is I live too far away to come here that often.

Love the new owners of this cute little place. The ladies are so sweet and friendly. Comfort food at its best and I like that you can have breakfast for lunch too. The burgers and sandwiches are good and the homemade chips are fantastic.

So, I’ve eaten here A LOT now: p …and every single time; (1) The food has been amazing, and is phenomenal in quality, quantity, and most importantly, taste. (2) The customer service is simply beyond reproach. Tammy and Monja(co-owners) make everyone feel like family. I always leave here with a smile on my face! (3) The atmosphere is perfect, family friendly, and the prices are simply unbelievable by comparison to their peers. I’ve lived here in South Orange County for decades, and there are a few small breakfast gems I frequent, as I love and prefer independent family owned and run restaurants to corporate chains. I’ll share them with you here in order of what I consider to be best to last(in my humble opinion), although I enjoy them all; (1) Laguna Café and Spirits — Laguna Hills *** MYABSOLUTEFAVORITE *** (2) Mollies Country Kitchen — Laguna Niguel (3) The Snooty Fox — Lake Forest (4) Lil’ Kitchen Café — Lake Forest Although they are all great, the quality of the food I’ve had here at Laguna Café, is by far the ABSOLUTEBEST among these gems, which of course makes this my favorite: p If you’re looking for TRULYGREATFOOD, and you enjoy that old school diner charm(like me), with simply OUTSTANDING customer service, then I HIGHLY recommend Laguna Café: p

This is a nice place. The service is 5* but the food is bland & prosaic. The owners are very new at being restaurateurs having owned the place only since February. They do everything maybe even the cooking. I would wait a year to see if they survive & if so if there is improvement in the flavor & inventiveness of the menu.

This is a our first time here since the change of ownership. My wife ordered the Mediterranean Omelette and I had the unhealthy Grill Cheese Sandwich with white bread. Yes, I was being bold since my lab test is a month away, so what the heck? Once in a great, great while it is okay to venture over to the naughty cholesterol and gluten side. There were minor changes to the inside décor, and the food quality was very similar to the previous owner’s. The service was friendly and attentive; our overall expectation, experience, and speed of food delivery were good. It is a neighborhood café where«regulars» will be remembered and greeted as friends. We will be back when too lazy to cook and wanting something quick and yummy.

Fantastic food, fantastic service, and fantastic prices. Just go check it out. Found this lovely establishment on Unilocal, went to it, and was fully satisfied. I even got a free beer. Highly recommended! Lovely people work here.

This place is a small little diner that is great for brunch. This place offers a great look into the lives of veterans as many pictures are strewn across the walls. The décor exemplify the support of current military and veterans. They even include a veterans discount for customers. As for the food, their menu still needs some updates. In addition to a professionally made menu, not one from the Windows paint application, the food is rather basic. While I’ve overheard that the menu is still in the works, the food selection is reminiscent of a limited menu Denny’s or iHOP. I had the breakfast quesadilla and while it tasted great, there was nothing truly unique and it tasted as I would expected to. Common food, great atmosphere, the food should grow as the new owners bring new ideas. For now, stop by a few times for breakfast for a welcoming start to the day!

Tried this place because of the many 5 star reviews. Hours are 8am to 2pm; just found out by Tammy one of the new owner(s) that they are the new owners of 8 days. However, looks like owned by former Servicemen? Décor remains the same. Very friendly and courteous service. I ordered Denver omelet and It was very good. Cooked the way I like it, sort of well done not runny in the center. My wife liked her French toast with bacon and eggs. We will definitely return, very close to home. The portion of the hash browns is ½ of what is usually served at other places; however ok with me no left overs

Came in on a Sunday and this is the only place that’s open in the whole plaza. The place is pretty hidden so the fact that there were so many people who knew about the place was a good sign. There was a short wait but I didn’t like the layout of the tables. There are 8 tables for 4 people each and 7 of those tables had parties of 1 or 2. If they swapped those out with modular 2 person tables they could fit more parties and shorten wait times! We ordered the biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito, kids corn dog, kids Mac n cheese, fries, crispy fries, potatoes and hash browns. My daughter didn’t like the corn dog, because it was overcooked. The crispy fries were awful. They were overcooked, bland and very oily! The breakfast burrito was very bland and definitely needed more salsa. The biscuits and gravy were not bad. The service was very friendly but it also took about 30 minutes to get our food. The pricing is not great as our meal came out to about $ 40 after tax and tip. I really wanted this place to be good but can’t justify a higher rating. Especially since there are so many other good breakfast options in the area.

Came here for breakfast and loved the attentive service. Connor was quick with our requests for coffee refills and water and extra condiments. The oatmeal is okay. Breakfast burrito and Mediterranean omelet were delicious. They prepared the English muffins for the poached eggs and ham order perfectly. The owner keeps this small restaurant super clean.

My gramma lives in liesure world and on our visits we always take her to the grocery store to buy heavy items(milk, deturgent etc), but make it a choice to try a new restaurant… By far, the BEST burger I have had in my life was made here… Thick, exploding in your mouth juicy, and flavors that will put you in a food coma for hours. Fries are crunchy on the outside and like mashed potatoes on the inside… Can’t get any better than that. The standout here is the service, and its loyalty to veterans. Youll have to see the place to understand it.

If you’re looking for American breakfast, this place does the job. Had a pretty decent Omelette and breakfast burrito but it’s nothing you can’t make yourself. Very interesting Military theme on the inside. –1 star for our food taking FOREVER to come out as in over 1 hour. –1 star for not communicating to your customers that you had a back up in the kitchen and that the wait will be longer than expected. The staff didn’t say anything until I asked about why the food was taking to long. Luckily they gave us complementary ice cream on the house and apologized. Otherwise, this would’ve received a 1 star for sure.

We were hungry this morning and both my wife and i had the morning to ourselves so we decided to go out for breakfast and enjoy the fresh morning air after the rain. The wife suggested Laguna Café and we went with it. It was near our home, got great reviews on Unilocal and never had tried it. It’s a small place tucked away in a strip mall with ample parking during the weekday. Very unassuming and easy to miss it especially if you are not using gps. So we sit down and greeted by a friendly young gentleman who takes our order. This gives us a moment to observe our surroundings. Reminds me of an old grandparents kitchen /living room with a bunch of pictures and knock knacks from the US armed forces. There is also this musty scent that I believe are coming from the wood tables themselves. The food itself was very good. Very homemade and able to appreciate that it didn’t come from a can. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and it was delicious. Wife ordered some sausage plate and she loved it. I could have stayed there forever but the musty scent kept me wanting to leave. Bottom line is that the food and service is great but the interior could use a good steam cleaning.

I have driven past couple of times around this strip and never thought that this café is great. First things first, if you are going to check in to this place do it before entering the café. Signal is weak inside and no wi-fi available. So yeah we came here for brunch and got ourselves seated in one of the booths. They had couple of tables put together for a large group so looks like you can make reservations/requests ahead. The guy who greeted us and took our order is the owner of the café. The place gives you old school feel — from the furniture to the decors inside. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner — anything on the menu for the whole day. Prices are okay. Options are good. The best thing I had here was their home-made crispy fries. When I mentioned that I wanted the crispy fries instead of the regular fries the owner forewarned me that the crispy fries are not like the ones you get at Carl’s Jr — meaning they are not thick cut. When I got my plate I was like their crispy fries are the bomb. It wasn’t oily. My sandwich was amazingly good. It was soggy with the bbq sauce. Just had the right amount to get the taste. My husband enjoyed his breakfast sandwich and pancakes. For sure I will be one of their returning customers.

From the décor, the food, the customers, and the kind people running the café this place screams all american. Laguna Café is located in the same plaza as the Vons(?) and thanks to them there is plenty of parking available. Their sign is very straight forward and nonchalant which fits the area and their customer base very well. When you step into the café you will noticed the walls are decorated with lots of military and mid 20th century propaganda. The owner Scott, former military himself(not sure what branch), makes sense and offers military discounts to those who served. The second thing you will notice here is there are a lot of old people here. Being a block away from an assisted living home will attract those type of people but it’s welcoming for all. The service here is very friendly and accommodating to those with special needs from physical to mental. They will do their best to make sure everyone have a fine dinning experience. The food served here is classic america. I was there before noon but ordered a breakfast of 3 sausages, hash browns, eggs over easy, and english muffin. They were cooked to my liking and no complaints on my end. With condiments on the table and whatever you ask for ketchup to Tabasco they will gladly give them to you if you need a little something extra. Overall, I like this place and would come again to try some of their lunch options. With fair prices to go along with the family and friendly environment I don’t see a reason to not come back here.

I have no food in the house, and I’m too busy going to concerts and the OC Fair, that I have no time to go to the grocery store – and that means that I have to go out to lunch on my workdays. I checked Unilocal to see what was around my office that I hadn’t tried yet. I found Laguna Café – with mostly 4 and 5 star reviews. It’s a very quiet little place with a military theme. Music or TV would be nice since it is so quiet you have to listen to other people’s conversations, or you have to whisper so no one else hears your conversation. Owned by a veteran, hence the military theme: lots of current and historical war pictures grace the walls and the glass tabletops. Kinda cool – lots of stuff to look at. But you aren’t going to a restaurant for the pictures, you’re going for the food, which is why you should hit up Laguna Café. I ordered a basic cheeseburger and homemade chips. When they brought the food I thought«Holy crap, that is a HUGE burger and a TON of chips. I will never finish all of it.» I was wrong. It was so freakin’ good, I ate the whole damn thing! Super fresh bun, lettuce and tomato with a perfectly cooked, juicy burger, and criss-cross, lattice-cut homemade potato chips that were awesome. I’d like to try the fries, but I’m not sure I could pass up these chips! I’ll be back – and I’ll bring my co-workers with me next time. :-)

WOW! SUPER delicious. I travel a great deal and eat in hundreds of different restaurants across the USA each year. Found this place in Unilocal after waking up in another hotel tired, worn, and hungry. I feel much refreshed after this breakfast and glad I decided to take the time for something other than the same old same old hotel breakfast. Also, the owner is a veteran and the décor is beautiful rustic photos of military moments very old and new. These are original photos and all look donated or collected. a very authentic feel. As a veteran myself, I felt really good ealing in there and even better after my breakfast. Thank you !!

I enjoyed my breakfast here. I tried the sausage scrambler breakfast. At $ 6.99, I thought it was a great, tasty deal. The scrambler is two large eggs with diced bell peppers, onions, cheese and sausage. You can also choose bacon instead of sausage if you prefer. Served with Café potatoes or hash browns and an English muffin, the scrambler is a good amount of food. One of the nice things about the Café is that they not only have Tapatio hot sauce, but they also have Cholula. We also ordered coffees with our scramblers and they were refilled without having to ask. Service here is nice. The café is small and attracts an older crowd as it is in Laguna Woods. I was very satisfied with my meal here. So far this year, it is the best breakfast I’ve had.
