What in the world, they charge 10 to get in. Don’t we pay city taxes to make this possible for the kids. I am so disappointed in this city making money like this. So sad– I’m never coming babl

I play soccer here and there’s nothing wrong with it so far except for the fact that I had a soccer game and my feet were really hot because of the little tire particles and those always get in my shoes and then when I get home, it goes everywhere in my house! But overall I love it.

Great skate park. Admission is high, but it is used for the up keep. Tons of bowls and excellent transitions. Definitely coming back.

This review is mostly for the skate park. My 7 year old son just finished his first week of skate camp and absolutely loved it. The coaches, Jessie and Adam, are awesome with the kids and my son’s abilities and confidence really improved in just a week. The price was reasonable and, most important, he was safe. He emerged after 3 hours completely sweaty and joyful. This is the only sport we have found that really entralls and exhausts him. He asked to go back next week! About the soccer field: I have played soccer at this field many times and the surface is great. It’s that new slightly soft astroturf, very nice for playing.

This review is for the only for the skatepark. I’d say it’s probably one of the best public parks south of Costa Mesa and north of Oceanside. A fun ~8 or ~9 foot bowl in the deep end, with some good areas to create multiple lines w/transfers. Middle of the park features a fun ‘mini’ snake run. Park never gets old, and some great skaters hang out there. Hours are reasonable and weekend mornings are usually a really good time to go, especially if(like me) you prefer skating with older dudes /pros. Speaking of which, its not uncommon for some 80s/90s pro vert skater to roll through, and the location is even down the street from Lester Kasai’s chiropractor — you can’t get more convenient than that! They give lessons to kids in the summer, I believe, which is awesome. I’m not huge on paying to skate at a ‘public’ park, but if you go more than once a month(which you should), the price is just fine — If you live in Laguna, there is a «neighbors» discount — if not, the price still isn’t too high for a yearly membership. Either way, it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than building your own vert ramp like we had to do back in my day!(*grabs cane and shakes it*) And, they seem to use the funds to keep the park in pretty good condition. As far as I can tell, scooters and bicycles are not allowed here, which keeps me coming back. My only gripe is that a few of the corners just«dead end» and having some extra tranny in certain areas could have helped… And I still don’t understand why kids put wax on steel coping(that’s an issue w/all parks these days) — just learn to grind harder, ya grommet!!! That said, only a few areas have this issue. Another nice highlight is the«bleachers» area for guests/family members(although the blue fence kind of spoils/limits the view). For a better view(and more shade) you can go upstairs above the check-in area — a fun place for your significant other(s) to take photos of you and cheer you on from above(or to just wait patiently for you, while they play words with friends…)

This review is a for the soccer field for a turf field in SOC this is the best one I’ve been to so far… We played half field 7vs7 league we just joined, small goals available as well as the big ones for the 11v11, there’s yellow lines separating the small fields with enough space between the two small fields, no interruption from the other game… and like the other review, the canopy gives great shade, also the high nets keeping the balls in.

This review is solely for the soccer park. My Sunday league team occasionally plays on this field. The turf is soft and doesn’t kill your ankles/legs after 90 minutes of running. However, it does absorb a lot of heat, so it can get pretty hot. The field is definitely regulation size according to FIFA standards. It’s actually one of the widest fields that we’ve played on. There’s also nets around the field to keep the balls from getting lost. There’s a small canopy on the sidelines for players and guests. This is crucial during the summer since no one wants to sit in the glaring sun. There’s plenty of free parking in the lot. If you’re taking the 5 South, exit Alicia Pkwy, turn right, and drive all the way down past Moulton Pkwy. The parking lot entrance will be on your right hand side.
