We got an email that said the products were 30% off the entire store but they said it was a typo. Customer service was terrible, rude and unprofessional employees. Many of the signs in the store were incorrect or outdated and we weren’t informed until after we had paid. There was a buy 2 get one free sign and we arrived to the counter and after we had paid the price seemed way too high for the things we bought so we asked about the price and the woman asked «those signs are still up??». Never coming back. Save your money and a headache.

THIS PLACE IS THE WORSSTTT! Anyone who has written a positive review is probably a fake account. First of all half of their PRODUCTS ARE FAKE!!! A friend and I went in because we had received an email saying their was a 30% off of entire store. Once we got their and asked the sales clerk she said the email was a typo and it was only 20% off. The sales clerks are EXTREMMLYY RUDE!!! Teenage girls who don’t know anything about their products and think they are entitled to belittle and be rude to their customers. Next there was a sign for a buy 2 get once free on Essie nail polishes and Sally Hansen nail polishes were 20% off. My friend payed first and I was wondering why the price was so high. She never gave any of the discounts! When I told her she said that those signs were old and not valid anymore??? What??? THEN TAKE THEM DOWN!!! The manager comes out and asks why we received 20% off. THERE WERE SIGNS OUTSIDE SAYING 20% off entire purchase! The sales clerk gives the manager attitude saying he doesn’t know anything. I was shocked she could speak to him that way. The other clerk is eating her lunch right on the register counter in front of us as all of this is going on. When I get home my friend texts me to look at Essie nail polishes and compare them to my other Essie nail polishes. THEY WERE FAKE. I LOOKED IT UP ONLINE AND THEY WERE FAKE NAIL POLISHED!!! When I put the color on my nail (pink color) it was almost like a top coat with a tinge of pink, watered down almost. I payed 9 dollars a bottle!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! FAKE PRODUCTS WITH BAD QUALITY!!! RUDE EMPLOYEES WHO KNOW NOTHINGGG! I WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD. RIP OFF!!!

Great customer service !! Im glad i found this place, they carry variety of hair products they also have amazing knowledgable staff ! I bought a few jewerly and nail polish.

Okay, so I have a flair for the dramatic. Truth-​be-​told, according to my sales receipt, clerk# 10 233 (can’t recall a name) did me a serious solid when she recommended a particular hair styling product.
Immediately after walking in I advised a petite brunette sales girl that I «dreamed a little dream where I might find a stand-​alone hair styling product for my type of hair». Honestly, I’ve all but given up since The Body Shoppe did away with their «Slick Grooming Cream» around 2008. Since then I’ve tried countless products which had one or more flaws (often fatal) in regards to resolving my «wannabe ‘80s bowl-​do» nearly body-​less hair.
Here were the notes I read to her:
a) my hair has almost NO body to it
b) product can’t weigh hair down
c) MEDIUM hold and MEDIUM shine
d) prefer NOT sticky/​stiff/​crunchy finished texture
e) ideally a citrus smell and NOT a smelly ‘70s musk cologne smell (English Pleather anyone???)
She was very helpful and after showing me one or two products which helped her further qualify my interests, she went to the — «winner winner, chicken dinner!»
ENJOY MOLDING PASTE.
It offers medium-​hold and medium-​shine, it doesn’t weigh hair down and it distributes pretty well so you don’t have a lot of patchy areas which you only notice after you’ve left the house. Also, it isn’t sticky, stiff or crunchy and the smell is of an amazing grapefruit fragrance. Seriously speaking, I’ve used it for a couple of weeks or so now and even as my haircut is growing out, it is still doing its job. If you really over-​apply you could end up with a slightly greasy look but that is fairly hard to do. An added beauty is that you can re-​style your hair later by adding a touch of water to your hands.
After 6 years of talking to beauty supply personnel its nice to finally have someone — «hit a homer». Thanks to you — A Beautiful You… indeed. :)

I bought a set of hair extension clips here — nonrefundable. Got home and they are on line everywhere for $ 50 less!!! Learned my lesson — need to look things up online first! But REALLY??? That is a HUGE mark up — I won’t shop here again!!!

This place NEVER FAILS myself and my 2 daughters! Their staff has ALWAYS BEEN HELPFUL and COURTEOUS. Whenever I have a question about any of their products, color, shampoo or anything they R RIGHT THERE asking and offer knowledgeable tips on which product works the best and how 2 use it. THEY KNOW. I used 2 color my daughters and my hair myself, so that came in handy. UNTIL, I took a chance on 1 of their stylists there. My daughter’s Prom was coming up in a week and she had some pretty serious color correcting 2 do. I was so PLEASANTLY SURPRISED when I saw her work! OMGOODNESS. I was really THRILLED. Came out STUNNING. Her name is Patty if Ur looking. I was so impressed I decided 2 start using her MYSELF. Thats hard 2 do. What she charged me was reasonable 4 the amount of hair and work she did. Also they have a discount card (which I LOVE) that gives U a Stamp 4 every $ 10 U spend and when it fills up, (I think $ 100) U get $ 10 off Ur purchase which helps tremendously when U have 2 daughters AND U spend high dig 4 the best stuff. Anyhoo, stop in! ALL AROUND GREAT PLACE 4 ALL Ur styling needs!

I realized that I never updated this. Kayo has moved. As such, you can no longer get your nails done here. While I have yet to find someone who matches the quality and price, the closest I have gotten is Naturally Hands in Irvine.

I have been to many beauty supply stores and they all carry many of the same brands. But this place, hands down has the best customer service. I know that I can get sound advice for my frizzy hair and they always have new stuff to try. The sales girl even gave me samples to try first before buying the full size product.
Another time I went in, they ran out if a product but put me on a special ordering book. I received a call within a few days and got my products.
Great place. Highly recommend.

Kayo is awesome! She’s done my nails a couple times and she really takes her time and does a wonderful job. Her gel work is better than anyone else’s I’ve seen and she takes just as much care with a simple manicure. Her service is what draws me back to this little place! Kayo also offers incentive for referring her to your contacts

I came in here looking for one thing and I was greeted so warmly by both employees who were behind the registers organizing something i think. (one was named Beth im pretty sure :]) They helped me thoroughly find what I was looking for then I decided to browse around for a bit on my own. They talked among themselves, keeping their conversation positive and customer friendly. They were super nice and welcomed a few more questions I had regarding a hair product I was trying to find. They weren’t pushy or set on sending me out the door with a bunch of crap I didn’t need. They helped me find everything I needed and had an amazing attitude!!! I’ll for sure come back here for all of my beauty supply needs!

I’m not from around this area and was here in LA on business during the holiday season which left me no time to shop for my loved ones especially my mom who means the world to me. Though this is the worst way to shop I needed to get something quick because I would be coming back home on Christmas and heading straight to the folks house from the airport and I was not about to pick up a gift for my mother at the terminals.
I came in and right away I was greeted with a friendly smile and was offered immediate service. (she must have seen the panic on my face lol). Mind you as a dude it can be very very Very awkward stepping inside a beauty supply store. I have no clue what is what or how any of this stuff is used. I just get to see the end results.
The sales rep made me feel at ease and helped me through some process of elimination on what to find without being rude or frustrated by my lack of knowledge. She didn’t even take advantage of my desperation of time which was great cause I would have bought anything for any price at that moment ha! In the end she helped me find a few products, rang me up, gave me a smile and wished me a Happy Holidays.
A very BIG Thank you to the awesome ladies at A Beautiful You for helping me find a gift for someone who matters the most and making me feel comfortable. Your service was off the charts!

She loves her new hair care products by the way cause after we opened our gifts we had dinner and my mom just piled on extra mashed potatoes on my plate and gave her son many kisses on the cheek =). She’ll be down there sometime next week visiting her parents and knowing my mother she’s gonna want to stock up since she lives in the Bay Area.

I love this place! It is honestly my go-​to store to satisfy all my beauty needs. From nails to hair to amazing customer service! The owner, Ana, is super sweet and totally patient with my million-​and-​one questions. She helped me find what i need and gain a little extra knowledge about products and their usage. Ask for her or any one of her amazing associates!
Prices are affordable, so I won’t be paying crazy bills for nail polish! ;) the lAst time I went they hAd a special going on which saved me more money! That is ALWAYS a +plus+

Came here to get some supplies for my friends sister who needed a bunch of beauty supplies at the last minute for her bridal photos. Fortunately for her I had nothing better to do. Unfortunately for her, I am a guy who doesn’t know anything about female beauty supplies.
2 things:
1.) I was grateful to have such a helpful staff to guide me through the process of what was needed for the pictures. They weren’t hounding me to buy everything or laughing at me. (the last thing i ever want is to have a store full of females laughing at me… again) They say that all guys think alike? Well women DEFINITELY think alike because I got everything that my friends sister and her bridal party needed.
2.) I had no idea that that there are a dozen different types of grey? This store gets down to specifics! They even have this fingernail polish thing where its has magnet shavings in it and once applied you wave this magnet over your nails and these crazy designs appear. i didn’t realize that beauty and science go hand in hand.
Gotta admit that this store is pretty cool, and if a guy says that then the ladies must be able to stay there for hours.

A Beautiful You is your typical beauty supply store. I come here to buy nail polishes and home manicure supplies. I like that they carry Opi, Zoya, and Esse and have a fairly wide selection of colors for each brand. Their prices are competitve and they frequently have 3 for 2 sales or sales for end of the season colors.
For the most part, the people who work there are awesome. My nails tend to split and the owner helped me choose some products to fix the problem.
Finally, I like that they have a frequent buyers card which means I get a little discount once in awhile.

The first time I went here was for clip-​in hair extensions, and was so happy that Rebecca, the salesperson who helped me, knew exactly what I needed. She even took me outside and held the hair up to make sure it matched. I have since been back several times and am never disappointed– their sales staff are very friendly and helpful, and I love the rewards that they offer. Will definitely continue as a customer!
