I am on Day 4 of the 7 Day Miracle Cleanse, and feeling great. The 10 days prior to beginning, I increased my alkalinity by eating as many fruits & vegetables as possible, and cutting out bread, pasta, fried foods, and alcohol(except for my little Friday night bender, which was more like a last hurrah, complete with Famous Star & Fried Zucchini). My reason for doing the cleanse is mainly to clean out my system and get healthy. I’ve been taking lots of good supplements for over a year or so, but felt like my body wasn’t absorbing as many nutrients as it should from them. In addition, I got four different illnesses over that same time and my weight just crept up, little by little. A friend had turned me on to this program last year and I had the supplements on me; just hadn’t dived in yet. So I made the decision to go for it, cleaning out my colon/intestines while going back to a healthier way of eating and losing a few pounds. I lost 5 pounds in those first 10 days prior to the actual cleanse. Since beginning the cleanse on Monday morning(today being Thursday), I have lost 3.5 pounds. On Day 1 I had some MAJOR stomach cramping, which I interpreted as a reaction to the supplement«Herbal Mucus Eliminator»(pleasant thought, I know) as well as the actual elimination of most of my old waste matter, through enema. Hunger has only been a problem when I don’t drink enough juice. basically the 7 Day Miracle Cleanse consists of juices fresh vegetables, taking the mucus eliminator, taking Super Boost Greens(a vegetable protein supplement), and taking one enema per day. However I have put my own twist on it, in that I eat one half of an avocado and one quarter of a cantaloupe for lunch, and often for dinner, the other half of an avocado and a whole bloom of baked garlic. Once again, I am not hungry all the time on this diet — only when I don’t drink enough juice. I’ll continue this regimen through Sunday night. I would recommend this program to someone who is generally in good health and just wants to get healthier(i.e. eat more raw foods and increase their nutrient absorption). I would NOT recommend it for someone with a lot of weight to lose or with a highly acidic diet. Not only would it be deprivation for that person, but the adjustment to all these alkaline foods would probably be too much too soon, and it is not supposed to be a weight loss program.
