JoAnne Artman Gallery

JoAnne Artman is the most sincere gallery owner! I walked in to view some of the photography work in her gallery a few months back and she was so nice to talk about her artists and show me lots of their pieces. I am a younger artist and was looking at their work for inspiration. She was so kind to take the time to speak with me about their prints even though she knew I wasn’t a buyer.
She honestly cares about the artist’s work and you can see her glowing passion as she speaks about their pieces!

Great little gallery located next to Madison Square & Garden Café. Nice relaxed vibe and the folks inside are nice and willing to answer any questions. There was an artist named America Martin whose work was on display when I visited here; this Columbian artist had some interesting paintings of musicians that I was quite fond of. Definitely worth your time when perusing galleries in Laguna.

The JoAnne Artman Gallery represents the very best of what the Laguna Beach art scene has to offer, an extraordinary feat considering the caliber of art galleries in the area.
Upon entering the gallery, It quickly becomes clear how enthused Joanne and Tayler are about the work that adorns their walls and yet neither Joanne nor Tayler possess any airs or graces, in fact the gallery is remarkably relaxed, very much in step with with the beach lifestyle. There is never any sales pressure, but rather an engaging conversation about the work, punctuated with the occasional giggle! A truly enjoyable experience!
JoAnne will always go above and beyond your expectations, not only will JoAnne without hesitation, personally deliver paintings to your residence, she will arrange studio visits and provide complementary tickets to various art fairs!
As I have stated on Unilocal before, art is subjective and thus my tastes are irrelevant, but there can be no doubt, JoAnne and Tayler are amoungst the finest contemporary art dealers on the west coast.

Unlike most gallery owners that either think they are celebrities or feel that they are doing everyone a favor by existing, owner Joanne Artman is a friendly, sincere person that treats both clients and artists with respect. In a world of sketchy, dishonest gallerists, Joanne shines as an passionate art lover that is both knowledgeable and fair and honest in her business practices. A great addition to the Laguna Beach art scene!
