What a fantastic find, Thank you team at Fredric Rubel for helping me find my dream engagement ring! My husband and I shopped around at a lot of places before finding Fredric Rubel in Laguna. A lot of places we looked at throughout southern california, the quality and selection wasn’t great and did not provide enough insight on the best mounting to fit my center store. The other jewelers seemed more interested in trying to make a sale, then actually finding a great quality piece that will be timeless and last for many years. With a previous mounting my husband purchased from another jeweler, the center stone was not set properly and diamond was loose by weak prongs in the setting, which on a couple occasions I almost lost my diamond. Most jewelers wanted to just sell you pieces and be on their way to the next customer, I never ever felt that impression at Fredric Rubel on the many occasion we went in.
Sarah and the whole staff went above and beyond throughout the entire process of getting our ring! We came in multiple different times to try on rings and they were always friendly and patient with us. The jeweler provided us great feedback on the different styles and educated me throughout the process to find the best fit for a ring that I could cherish for a lifetime. Their team was not pushy at all on each occasion I went in to try on rings, this is actually what made me keep coming back to this place and not even consider looking elsewhere. I knew then I wanted to work with them to find the best mounting for my engagement ring, they always helped educate me on the best styles to fit what i was looking for. Fredric Rubel is a very honest and trustworthy jeweler with very fair prices. Their prices aren’t the cheap but neither is the quality of any of their jewelry at all. I ended up with a Michael B three row flat band in platinum, the quality of this ring was excellent and the ring is absolutely stunning. They work with the vendors to customize your ring to fit it’s size, the time it took was less than what was quoted and so worth the wait. They also help with appraisals and quoting you when the ring is done for insurance purposes.
Highly recommend if you are looking for fine quality, trustworthy jeweler. Especially for engagement ring shopping, I been to enough places to know this place really is the best in the area. I am a loyal customer now and will be back for future purchases!

I walked into this store to get the band on my Rolex re-​sized. It was the week before Christmas so I thought they would be busy. They immediately helped us and fixed the watch very quickly and would not take any money for it. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable people. I will go to this store to buy my next watch based on this experience.

Best place to buy a Rolex they are one of the very few authorized Rolex dealers in Orange county. They treat you like family here they are very cool down to earth people. In my opinion if you can afford a Rolex buy it from a authorized dealer so you know exactly what you are getting.

My family and I were staying at the ritz carlton in Dana point and decided to go shopping in Laguna beach. I ended up buying a watch next door and they told me that this store would be happy to resize it for me because they have an agreement with them.
Not only were they rude they made a huge fuzz on how «difficult» it was to resize. Told me that it would be ready by noon the following day, came in at 1245 and had to wait a half an hour for the man to get to it. When he finally did it took him exactly 6 minutes before throwing it on my wrist and shooing me out the door. If they don’t want to resize watches from other stores don’t have the agreement with them.
Very rude people.

This place is great. Try and meet with Fredrick, he is the nicest man ever. Very honest and friendly.

Anyone that has been in business since 1928 has to be doing something right. Great products and even better customer service. They really do treat you with respect. I really enjoyed this place. A+++

Note: I am writing this review on behalf of my kind old landlord who can NOT stop talking about his experience buying his new Rolex here at Rubel.
Pros: Quick background: my landlord is one of those old guys that wears pretty much the same t-​shirt and shorts everyday. He looks humble, but is very well off. Anyway, he’s wanted to buy himself a Rolex for years (he’s now 75). Because of his casual appearance, many jewelers didn’t pay him much attention; that is, until he stumbled upon Rubel. The sales people were warm, gracious, and made him feel at ease. Because of this, he purchased his new watch there last week :-) I don’t think he will ever take it off.
Since he was so thrilled with the service, I made it a point to go in and thank the ladies for being so wonderful to him. They were so sweet and thankful, and gave me a catalog and some free jewelry cleaner to boot! There is NO DOUBT, when I am ready throw my card down for some Roberto Coin fabulous-​ness, I will be doing it at Rubel!
Cons: It’s downtown Laguna– so parking is slim. There is a public lot in back if you don’t want to battle the traffic on Forest.

We have been shopping for a Rolex for several months and have been to 4 different jewelry stores to look at various styles (as every store does not stock every model and every combination of dial and model). Without question the staff at Rubel Jewelers was the best, especially David, as my wife and I were never pressured or made to feel uncomfortable. Our questions were answered without any arm twisting or repeated suggestions that we buy a watch on the spot. After taking a few days to consider buying the watch, we bought it, and we could not be happier.
