Mammaw’s Sweet Shoppe

I attended a consultation meeting with Mamaw’s Sweet Shoppe with my future sister in law in preparation for her wedding. Mammaw’s let us sample a variety of cupcake flavors, show ideas from Pinterest and the internet, and gave a quote for proposed ideas. They were professional and gave their opinions without being over-​bearing. Their suggestion was to use a dummy cake for the centerpiece of the wedding desserts, then serve from a variety of sheet cakes. You can keep the dummy cake after the wedding or return it to receive credit for them being able to reuse the foam boards. I’ll definitely update as we continue through the wedding planning process with Mammaw’s.
It is also really nice for weddings because the owners of Mammaw’s also have a décor business and parter with a flower shop. It really simplifies the wedding planning process for a bride and her family.
My suggestion – try the peanut butter lover cake/​cupcake. It was amazingly delicious!

The cakes, cupcakes, and cookies not only taste amazing, but they look amazing too! I always get my kids’ birthday cakes from here and I always want a very specific design and they nail it every time! I have never ever been dissatisfied with this place. Their butter pecan cupcake is my favorite!

I attempted to work with Aaron on having Mamaws doing our wedding cake and cupcakes because their cupcakes are amazing, however due to his lack of response to emails and inability to read emails all the way through we will not be doing business with Mamaws. It is very unfortunate because they have tasty cupcakes.

It’s really not that great. I thought her cake and cookies are dry. I personally can decorate better than she can. Like seriously… I can… Not that great there.

These are by far the best cakes in Lafayette! They can make any flavor you desire on top of that they are gorgeous! Occasionally they have a dollar day which gives people who don’t normally buy specially cupcakes an opportunity for something special! Add them on Facebook to catch a dollar day. This is not a sponsor post either I just love their cupcakes!!! Fat Elvis is the best!

Text a copy of the invitation for the baby shower I had for my Niece. The cake they designed was absolute gorgeous and delicious. The cake was a huge hit at the shower. Every one kept saying «it looks just like the invitation»!
I highly recommend them and will order from them again.

Needed iced sugar cookies and I was in a pinch! I called ahead and they had just what I needed! And they tasted great, too!

Customer service is terrible! I was told by their consultant I wouldn’t find a cake for my wedding even close to as good as Mammaw’s, however, I found a better Bakery! The consultant I spoke with was rude and pretentious not to mention making comments about «being a redneck.» I asked about having the «naked» style wedding cake and the response was «this is how we do it and what you will get.» I’m so happy I chose to look elsewhere for my cake because I’ll be getting more cake that tastes better than Mammaw’s, exactly the way I want it to look, delivered from Carmel, Indiana which is double the distance Mammaw’s is from my wedding reception all for less than I was quoted at Mammaw’s.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Don’t expect them to go above and beyond for you at all. For my niece’s 1^st birthday they messed up her cake and we obviously were okay with it seeing as though she is only 1 and really had no other choice. When it came around to her 2^nd birthday my sister wrote them an e-​mail letting them know how excited she was and just mentioned about her previous issue in order to make her feel at ease and they told her that she should go else where because she was unhappy previously. Suggesting a customer goes somewhere else? Probably not a good idea and their desserts don’t make up for their poor customer service

I am always looking for baked goods to take my clients and until Mammaws, I was unable to find much in Lafayette. I thought the place was well appointed for a bakery meets flower shop. The cupcakes were delicious and fresh, and I thought the prices were extremely reasonable compared to Indy where I’m used to much higher, ridiculous prices for baked goods.

Very Average for the price.
