Cresco Equipment Rentals

I rented a small hand tool from this location. The staff were friendly and efficient. This is a very conveniently located Cresco!

Need a heavy duty sander to redo your deck? This is your place. They rent the sander and other necessary gear. Pretty knowledgeable staff so they can answer lots of your questions and give you some advice about some home projects you are trying to do.

**Note: I originally reviewed this establishment on 6÷27÷12 and even got the «1^st to review» tag. It’s still in my account, but somehow they managed to reset their listing so my review doesn’t show up. Well I went back to write a review for the Pleasant Hill Cresco, thanks to a GREAT experience I had renting from them, and Lo and Behold the management from Lafayette found a way around my opinion. Well, I promise you this gentlemen I will check back frequently to make sure my HONEST assessment of your customer service remains attached to your establishment. Hopefully it will encourage improvement in customer service. I’ll never know.**
BEWARE! The manager/​owner here will do everything in his power to take advantage of you. Caveat Emptor!
I have rented equipment from here twice and each time I have found the management to be rude and unprofessional. The first time went ok, but there was a minor problem with one of the pieces of rental equipment malfunctioning. There was no customer consideration or alternatives given. It was going to be «my way or the highway» with the manager. After a long conversation we found a way around the problem and I was able to get my work done.
I decided to give them another chance in case that was just a fluke and rented a brush trimmer from them. They tried to add on the cost of a trailer as well despite already having charged for it previously, but I called them on it. I rented it for a whole day, and used it for 2 hours before the pulley wheel broke and the motor would no longer turn the blades. Recognizing this, we brought the trimmer back. Of course they don’t have the part to fix it. No apologies, no attempt at accommodation, not offer to provide a discount on the next rental when it is fixed. Just «too bad. Tough luck.» Because I used it more than an hour, they say they weren’t obligated to do anything.
I will not be fooled again. I will drive 5 hours to avoid ever using this location in the future. I hope that anyone out there reads this before going there and thinks twice.

As a small contractor, we have to rent a lot of equipment for the variety of jobs that we do. Robert takes incredibly great care of us and has become a very important part of our business. We hghly recommend Cresco to contractors and homeowners — they will take great care of you!
