He is brilliant at cosmetic dental work! I chipped my tooth in the front of my mouth and was terrified that the repair would still not look 100% natural. However, Dr. Ferrier’s work was above and beyond what I thought could be done. My tooth looks the same as before — same coloring, feeling, strength and shape. I am gratefully amazed! Many thanks.

I am a person who don’t have a good luck with my teeth in general, therefore, I do have lots of experience and knowledge working with many Dentists in my entire life. Dr. Ferrier was referred to me by one of the specialists who couldn’t treat my situation. After working with him, I have to say that Dr. Ferrier is the best! That is why I don’t mind to travel from South Bay to Lafayette to visit this office.
Here is my review and I sincerely hope that this information is helpful for you:
Front desk:
As soon as you walk in, you feel that you are as comfortable as if you are at home. This is how friendly and nice people are here. The place is very clear and cozy. Even it is a very busy office, you feel only great energy flows here.
Office staffs:
The office goes beyond and above to work with me from anywhere in paper works to insurance payment. They really impressed me for what had happened one time that I was over paid without knowing it because the insurance company made mistake and the office notified me right away to reimburse the difference amount back to me. I appreciate it so much for how honesty they are. They work very hard, and they don’t forget to send you email or return you phone call for question you might have.
The clinic:
Dr. Ferrier’s dental clinic has computers that connect to the screens in front of patients so that you can see your own x-​ray or some other procedure in 3 D images. (Depends on what you do here). Or beautiful photos to look at during treatment. Also he has a small lab here so that he can get some small work handled for you right away. Dr. Ferrier himself is very skillful as artist in lab. I have seen his work and I was very impressed.
Also people who work here change gloves very often.(Yes, I pay attention to very small details)
Hygienists:
They all are very friendly and nice doing a great job explaining everything in details. And very skillful on their hands while do the dental clearing. Also Dr would often time come by to check if any potential issues are found.
Dr Ferrier’s assistants:
Each of them was attentive to my comfort. Always polite and nice and smile. Like Dr. Ferrier, they all have positive attitude that I love.
Dr Ferrier :
Dr. Ferrier is very nice and polite. He takes tremendous pride in his work. He has so much passion on what he does and he enjoys what he does. He also has a very big heart with lots of compassion for his patients. I have visit here very often in past three years, but I have never seen him being stressful or impatient, he always smiles and very positive, and he has solutions for almost every situation. He never tried to push unnecessary services or rush a visit, he respects your decisions and he works with you for your best interest. After finished appointment, I would grab a cup of French Roast coffee at front feeling so relax as if I was just getting out from spa.
In addition to treating patients in private practice, Dr. Ferrier is also an assistant clinical professor in Prosthodontics at UCSF. This is another reason why I like working with Dr. Ferrier because he is on top of his field for new technology and knowledge. I had gone to some other Dentists who obviously are very behind current modern dentistry that scare me because dentistry is a very complex field.

I have had basic cleaning and dental work done, cavities filled and implants! My implants turned out beautifully and I am beyond pleased! And, no problems at all! His equipment is very clean, new and just state of the art, his office décor –all very organized, comfortable, clean and peaceful! Cannot comment on the service here, because they were too busy to take my mother who needed work urgently. However, I was so impressed with the office manager Mary Ellen who was attentive and helpful, calling me back with referrals to other dentists. Should I ever need to find a new dentist (I live on the other side of the tunnel), I would definitely give Dr. Ferrier a try.

Dr. Ferrier is a caring and highly skilled prosthodontist. The office is very clean, bright, and all digital. Although, I came in for a routine dental checkup (which involved teeth cleaning and fillings) he was extremely thorough yet quick. He will step you through each procedure and will provide answers to any question that you may have. Talking to him, you will learn that he is always trying to evolve as a prosthodontist, learning new skills and techniques.
I noticed there is one subpar review that only speak of costs however, it does not mention anything about the work the reviewer received. Maybe it’s just me but when it comes to my teeth, I don’t mind «splurging» a little for excellent treament.
Dr. Ferrier is highly recommended!

He is great. Pleasant, professional. Great technology, very hi-​tech. Explains everything clearly and tells you your options. I won’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Ferrier was recommended by a friend who I’ve trusted for all my health stuff for a couple years now. Based on her rec, I actually made an appointment while I was in the East Bay for work, because I just haven’t been happy with the two dentists I’ve tried in SF. My biggest gripe at the dentist (usually) is every time I go, I seem to get a cold afterwards. Not at Dr. Ferrier’s office. The office is super clean, the staff is warm, and Dr. Ferrier was lovely. It felt like he was being really honest with me about my options, and ended up advising me about some proactive behaviors I could take rather than rushing into additional work. There wasn’t any waiting around or wasting time, which as a mom with two kids and a full time job (read: not much free time), I really appreciated. Definitely recommend.

I give Dr. Ferrier my highest recommendation. I’ve followed Dr. Ferrier from Oakland to Lafayette because I can’t imagine seeing anyone else! He always makes sure I understand what is going on, I never end up with work that was not absolutely necessary (good on my budget!), and he and his colleagues are friendly, patient and unquestionably knowledgeable. I giggled at the dentist. When was the last time you could say that?

Dr. Ferrier is extremely kind and engaging and does great work. He coordinated with another dentist to give me an implant that feels and looks completely natural. I couldn’t be more satisfied with it! Additionally, his office staff is helpful and professional and put me at ease every time I call or enter the office. I am extremely pleased with Dr. Ferrier and highly recommend this dental office, especially if you have anxiety about going to the dentist. This experience will change that for you!

I have been looking for a good dentist in the past several years. Dr. Andrew Ferrier picked up the business from Dr. Douglas Cowden after he retired. Dr. Cowden was a fine dentist, although I am only with him a little more than a year. I called Dr. Ferrier’s office the other day to ask some insurance questions, then Dr. Ferrier asked to meet with me and told me there is no charge, because he wants to meet with all Dr. Cowden’s patient. I had a root canal few weeks ago before I see Dr. Ferrier, food often trapped in the tooth I had the root canal. I mention this problem to Dr. Ferrier, he offer to do a Core Buildup on the tooth I had the root canal. I asked him how much will that cost me. He told me my insurance should cover the whole thing, even if my insurance will not cover it, he will WAIVER my part of the payment. 30 days later, I received a bill from Dr. Ferrier and there is a balance of $ 72.90 I owe him. I called his office, asked him do I have to pay the balance in the invoice. He told me because my insurance did not cover the whole payment, I am responsible to pay the balance. WTF he lie to me. I am warning any person going to see Dr. Ferrier never take his words for it. He is not very professional and all he looking for is to make money.

Dr. Andrew Ferrier called today, he said there was a miss communication between him and the receptionist. He apologized and waiver my portation of the payment.
