Im from NYC and was very excited to find this place. Newly opened but they use old family recipes– end result phenomenal food, great atmosphere and friendly service. What more could use ask for?. This time I had the Chicken Tiki Masala which had a thick and creamy sauce with a ton of flavor and spice, not pepper. If you like Indian cuisine you must stop here!!!

Nirvana was, for a long time, located in an old diner just minutes from my boyfriend’s house… ironically, I never tried it then. It’s now in a new location, and we finally ordered food from them. I tend to go with what I know — and for Indian food, that’s Tikka Masala, made with paneer, plus a side of naan and occasionally samosas. We had a $ 50 giftcard, so I went for all 3. The samosas were by far the best part — for $ 6 you get two large ones, with different types of dipping sauces. The naan was good, too, and although there wasn’t that much paneer in my tikka masala, it was still delicious. My big complaint here is the spice scale — there’s only a few options, and I feel like I fall in between. When I ordered mild I found it barely had any flavor, but when I went with medium it was far too spicy for me. Could just be the difference of day-to-day chefs and their spices, but I think I’ll have to stick to mild so I don’t get burned.

Just had a delicious meal here with friends and family. Lots of interesting and well made starters. Entrees were well prepared and heat levels were perfect for everyone(hot, medium, mild) were all just right. We will be back!

Top notch Indian! We’ve had a dozen meals since we stumbled into Nirvana a week after it opened in this new location. We have never been disappointed. Everything we have tried has been excellent. We love the old stand-by Tiffin, but Nirvana is more authentic and nuanced. Tiffin has been quite anglicized… very hearty and delicious, but spices are a little too restrained. Nirvana let’s it’s spices loose and the result is delicious! Unqualified positive recommendation.

Terrific authentic Indian restaurant! I had been to its previous location, originally the old 401 Dinner in Conshohocken. I wanted to try the new location on Germantown, formerly Lucky Dog. Possibly my new favorite restaurant in the Conshy area. We had grilled mushroom appetizer, Peshwari naan, Lamb Madras Curry and Chana Masala. Everything was excellent! You can also find good deals on app. We saved $ 25, so BYO date-night check came to a wopping $ 28, including desert and chai tea. They have online ordering, so it’s going right to the top of the take-out options in the area.

The food is good. The gobi manchurian is particularly delicious. Chicken vindaloo is good and naan is very good.

Quality of food was terrible. I have had better biriyani from legal sea food! Not authentic in the least. I mean who gives you a side of rice when you order biriyani! Enough said.

I was really excited to have an Indian restaurant in my town, however, the food at Nirvana is sub par. I eat Indian cuisine regularly and at a variety of places in DC, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. I’ve given Nirvana three chances, but have seen no improvement. The chicken tikka masala has large, thick chunks of green peppers and onions, which alters the taste, and little chicken. The samosas and vegetable fritters are good. The rice pudding is awful — very stringy and flavorless. I also can’t believe that naan doesn’t come with the dinner entrees. The staff is very nice, but I don’t plan to return as the food is not good.

Amazing food. One of the best we have tried so far. We had all vegetarian dinner. Started with the appetizer and have to say that must try is ghobi manchuriyan. We also had shahi panner and kofta with the basked of bread. Everything was delicious. Best part of the restaurant was the people serving the food. They make you feel home.

Went here for dinner last night with two friends and we all love Indian food. Everything was fantastic and I am just sad that I don’t live in the area anymore so I can’t eat there more often. The butter chicken is amazing and I would highly recommend it.

I always wondered where Nirvana went after it left Conshohocken, but I am happy to say that I found it again. The dining room is smaller, but there is parking now! I went for the lunch buffet, which was small but very affordable($ 13/person). The best thing about Indian buffets is trying new things and Nirvana was able to provide me quite a few options. All of the dishes were frequently refilled, and there was a good variety of vegetarian and chicken dishes, plus a goat curry that was delicious. The pakora could have been crispier and the goat could have been less bony, but other than that, I enjoyed my meal(only two plates – I’m a wimp). I think this is my default Indian lunch buffet now.

I had a nice buffet lunch the other day. Food was in general pretty good. The reason I took out one star is their naan was not as chewy as I would like it to be — just personal preference. People are really friendly. I would go back again and again.

Such excellent food!!! Truely delicious south Indian cuisine! We used a gift cert and it worked perfectly! In the end we payed a few dollars more than we would have for the lunch buffet and had enough for two leftover meals! The service was fast, attentive, and cheerful. The food was so good! Without our gift certificate we would have definitely ordered less and most of the dishes would have probably been too expensive for us, but I’m glad we know about their new location. When Nirvana was in Conshohoecken we went there once, but it was too expensive for us to go to every night. My suggestion is to Nirvana is to keep the deal because it’s the best way for us younger professionals to get great Indian on a regular basis! Next time we’ll be in for the buffet! See you soon!

We celebrated a family event last night. The Saag, Veg. Korma, Kulcha Onion Bread & Yellow Dahl were SUPERB — better than ever. How do they keep besting their best meals? Keep it up! Orange Kulfi Ice Cream Dessert is an amazing sensation. They say it is painstakingly made. When it comes to the table, it looks like fresh orange slices. Not! Surprise — must eat to fully appreciate. This is one of the best Indian restaurants around. I was so disappointed when they closed their location in Conshohocken and was very excited to learn that they were reopening in Lafayette Hill. I drive from Skippack to get some Chicken Korma. My wife loves this place too. Their appetizers are amazing. Especially the Bhel Puri is awesome. Chicken Korma with Garlic Naan bread is the best combination for me. I give preference to authenticity when it comes to Indian food coz I grew up eating Indian food and I can tell you that this place has the best authentic Indian food.

Really great restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Tables well placed(not sitting in your neighbors lap). Staff willing to please. We had two chicken dishes and a vegetarian entre along with garlic naan. Everything delicious and the meal was well timed. Would definitely return.

My husband’s Indian, I’m American, and we both agree that this is by far the best Indian restaurant around. The food is amazing and the service is great. If you like Indian food, or have never tried it, this is the place to go.

This is the former 401 nirvana. This is the best Indian food I have had. There wait staff are awesome and helpful. The owners are kind and always welcoming. The prices great. Every thing I have had is awesome. Chicken 65 is an awesome app. Orange kulfi is an amazing dessert. Chai tea is fantastic.
