Love this place. Frittata is awesome, wonton soup, chow mein, lemongrass sensation… honestly I have yet to try anything that did not impress me. And cheesy bread off app menu, fabulous!!!

Really good but outrageously priced. $ 11+ for a basic meal consisting of the Mongolian, rice and small salad. The mark-up is absurd. I’ve always come in because it is good but I won’t be going back after today. $ 7 for 10 pieces(ranging from very small to bigger) of the Mongolian as a side. Insane and not worth it. Such a bummer. If prices would be more reasonable I’d be back.

Always so good, each and everytime. I have eaten here couple of times & I’m barley writing this review. I kno, horrible right. But I have to say that this place makes your food fresh & when it’s ordered. The ambience is super good & white. I mortised very quiet inside. I don’t know if I heard a radio inside or music playing. But any who it’s good food & healthy. Vegetarian and healthy fresh food. Take-out or dine in. Good is fresh. I ordered a heavenly salad w/peanut dressing & boy was that good, very good. It was refreshing & full of flavor. It was a menu that you didn’t regret after eating it. Good size portion. They have many options. Lasagna, noodles, salads, rice, meat, soy meat, soy chicken. I always come back here.

I was looking for something heathly and was led to Loving Hut for lunch by Unilocal.I ordered something that looked like sliced chicken served with brown rice and steamed vegetables for $ 16.99. It over $ 18 with tax for lunch. I’m not thrifty and have no problem paying $ 20 for a good lunch but my meal was average at best and over priced. You can get the SAME thing at Flame Broiler for $ 8. Eating vegan is way too expensive and this place wasn’t worth gas to drive.

Always get the bbq noodles, they are good but they don’t give you much and it is a bit pricey. The service is slow and customer service sucks. I wish they had more of a variety on their menu. The food tastes good for being vegan. This place has lots of potential but is lacking in many areas.

Absolutely love this place! Went here for my sisters birthday and everyone was happy even though only her and I are vegan. It tastes amazing and the people are so kind. Thanks for an amazing time!

Whenever my out-of-town family members stop by for a visit, I always drag them over here since it’s so different than anything they’d ever had before. While not authentic Vietnamese food by any means, the food here is still wonderfully tasty and I owe it to them for exposing me to all the yummy vegan options out there. As an appetizer, the summer rolls are delicious and very fresh. For the entrees, the Bun Bo Hue is very good and I highly recommend it to those wanting something warm and soupy. The phở is good too, but I would go to a legit phở place if you want to have a bowl. The lemon grass chicken, orange chicken, and spicy cha cha are wonderful as well! Very, very flavorful and will have your taste buds jumping for joy! The clay pot is an option for those wanting to try something a little different; it is a bit salty from the seaweed but not overwhelming or bad by any means. The sauce for it is great and the flavor is excellent. To finish off your meal, you can try some of the vegan flan. I am not one to eagerly eat flan, but this vegan flan is possibly the best flan I have ever had. 100% serious. One thing that I love about this place is that once you finish eating, you don’t feel disgustingly full. You feel comfortable and refreshed, not like you are about to pass out from a food coma. Because of this, I recommend this place if you want something more on the light side. The only reason i’m not giving it 5 stars is because the service tends to be slow and the prices are a little high. It takes a while for the food to come out and the staff sometimes doesn’t quite seem to know what they are doing. I also don’t recommend getting a smoothie or other specialty drink since they are a bit expensive. But overall, once of my favorite places to visit when I am in town.

I’m not a vegan but this place has really good food. I’ve really enjoyed the food and have been back many times. The service is a little slow and I wish they stayed open later.

This is the place to go if you don’t want someone to take your order until 15 min goes by, bring you water until 20 min goes by, and not bring food out for over an hour! Not sure about the quality of the food because we left after waiting for over 55min!

I would like to review the food but we waited over an hour and a half for lunch, which never came… I have never had such poor service anywhere. I had a bad feeling when it took over 10 minutes before the waiter to acknowledge our table when the restaurant wasn’t that busy. The water came 25 minutes into our visit, after an hour the waiter gave us a saucer of under cooked fries and apologized for taking so long. I guess the manager came over shortly after, we never complained about anything we were very patient. Finally one meal was brought to our table we sat another 10 minutes waiting for the rest of the table to be served, no waiter anywhere… We had enough and left. Ten thumbs down my worst rating ever.

I waited 15 minutes before I even got my menu. Then it took another 15 before my order was taken. Table next to me sat longer without any acknowledgement. 40 mins later, food was finally out. Table next to me sitting for about 20 mins now still haven’t gotten any acknowledgment(I would have personally walked out already). My kids love their chicken nuggets & ketchup. Phở was good too. Food here is good however, service really sucks! It’s seat yourself all day long and waiters don’t even acknowledge you.

I went to eat here with my husband. I ordered phở and he got spaghetti. The spaghetti was just fine. Nothing special. Phở broth was good and I liked the veggies in there but the meat-look-alikes tastes awful. I think it would have been better if they give you more mushrooms instead of those.

Food is great, but service is sooooo extremely slow. This was my second time here. I went with a friend the first time and then decided to take the family the next. I remembered from my first visit that the service look forever for the food to come out and to get the check. No one had even checked in on us in the middle of our meal. So, this second time around, I warned my family that the food was good but to expect to be there for a loooooong time. Of course, when we got there, food was good as expected but we were there for longer than we had to be. We had the bun hue, bbq noodles, golden noodle soup with wontons, and a slice of pandan cake. First of all, as mentioned earlier, food is great(for vegan versions of the originals). I grew up on Asian food, primarily Vietnamese food. Bun Bo Hue is my favorite soup aside from Phở. These soups were something I ate on a weekly basis since as long as I can remember. I haven’t tried the Loving Hut Phở yet, but I’m not sure I want to. Nothing can beat the original. Maybe one day, if I ever become vegan… My mom is vegan, so she’s brought home vegan versions of Bun Bo Hue for me to try before. Compared to vegan versions I’ve had before, this Loving Hut version is not bad. Plus, it’s closer to home than having to drive all the way to the San Gabriel Valley or Westminster to get my Vietnamese soup fix. The bbq noodles is good, but the sauce is soooo sweet. The pandan cake is very tasty. Every bite of that cake is tasty. I’m not a fan of the pandan flavor, but my kids like it. Their chocolate mocha cake, which I’ve tried before, is very yummy. It’s not overly sweet and tastes like coconut milk instead of mocha, but I really liked it. If you’re going to try this place, just make sure you set enough time for your visit. I don’t think I’m the only Unilocaler here who’s mentioned the very slow service. Plus, do yourself a favor and get the groupon for this place. It’s definitely pricey considering the amount of food you are given. Lots of soup, but little bit of anything else inside. Although whatever you do get is tasty, just not enough for almost $ 10 a large bowl. If the service wasn’t sooooooo sloooooow and the amount of food they put in the bowl wasn’t so little(or maybe they can drop the prices a bit)… I would give it one more star or maybe even 2. I’ll definitely visit again to eat Bun Hue and a slice of mocha cake. BUT if the service continues to be extremely, disappointingly slow, I don’t think I’d waste my time. I can wait to go to the San Gabriel Valley or Westminster to find good food and quicker service. Crossing my fingers for a better experience…

Ten minutes sitting down and still no water … Wow of to a great start huh? Mango Tango– tasted a little like sour milk to me with mango flavor. Not sure if I like it Loving hut special roll– so much flavor on the sauce. It’s so fresh and tasted better than regular shrimp roll. Chowmein– OMG so much depth on the flavor of the sauce. It’s soooo good. To be honest, it’s the best chow win I’ve ever had. Spicy Chacha– i couldn’t even tell that it wasn’t shrimp. It was perfectly seasoned. Salad was so fresh and brown rice was perfectly cooked. I wanted to give this place a bad review bec of their service but the food was soooooo good I had to give them 4 stars.

I placed an order for pickup and when we arrived we decided to eat it there(place was empty) By the way (always check your to go order thoroughly before leaving the premises) Upon inspection I discovered these dishes completely failed to resemble their lavish generous and enticing descriptions from the online menu(google maps) As fate would have it my inspection of the to go order revealed yet another aspect of this woefully inept establishment. Ineptitude’s second cousin Apathy All the items I am allergic to and always exclude were present in spades My protests yielded an offer to pick out the offending ingredients despite the fact the items had been cooked together with the entrée Asked for white rice received brown rice Staffer dealt with me like I was a ten year old and lamented that I should accept her offer to pick out the ingredients I cannot eat . I was further told I may not order something else. Hard to believe but I have three witnesses to my sad tale So there you have it

A little bit of a disclaimer: This is a vegan restaurant. For those who aren’t familiar, Vegan is a more extreme version of being a Vegetarian. Vegans don’t use any products that are associated with the harm of animals. For example, they don’t eat meat/seafood, dairy, eggs, or honey. Because of this, sometimes people who are used to eating animal products don’t like vegan substitutes. My husband is the perfect example; he has a hard time finding anything at Vegan restaurants that he likes. Most of the items he has ordered from any restaurant who serves vegan food he says tastes horrible. Then again, he’s used to eating bacon with almost every meal and having a blanket of cheese sizzling on top. I, however, am a vegetarian and before I went vegetarian, I still liked the food at this restaurant. I thought everything I tasted was delicious and filling. My daughters like it too(our girls aren’t vegetarian, they just like the food). They especially like the the substitute chicken nuggets and golden tofu. Overall, the restaurant is always clean and has a good menu. It’s frequently empty; The majority of the times we come in, we’re the only ones here. They have strange hours, but that isn’t an issue. The reason why The Loving Hut it gets two stars is because of two really big annoyances. 1.) For how slow this restaurant is on a regular basis, the food takes forever to come out. Every single time, it takes up to an hour to get served. Even water takes eternity. It seems like everything is in slow motion and when I’m here with my kids or in between errands, I don’t want to sit around for 3 hours when I should be in and out in half that time or less. I’ve been here by myself(literally, it’s me and the TVs, which I’ll get to in a second) and it’s taken 2 hours to pop out a small bowl of phở with a side of golden tofu and my water never seems to make it to the table. 2.) The other is that crazy go veg propaganda crap they put on their TV’s. I get it, no animals were harmed in the making of this burger, but I don’t want to watch a constant stream of guilt trips while I’m eating my tofu. Most of their customers probably don’t eat animals and are some version of vegetarian or vegan. I don’t want to watch a creepy vegan TV station while I wait 3+ hours for my food. It’s not just one TV either. It’s 2 or 3 going off at all angles at the same time. It’s very agitating and frustrating. Get staff who actually know their way around a kitchen and pop out food within 20 – 40 minutes, waiters who can remember their only customer is thirsty, and change the freaking channel. In the mood for vegan? Look around for other places and if your desperate for veg, prepare to be bored.

This is a Vietnamese vegan restaurant in the middle of Ladera Ranch. Me, Wifey, and our Peanut visited this place about a week ago for the first time and really liked it. * Disclaimer… I’m NOT vegan or vegetarian. In fact I’m the farthest thing from it. Here’s my breakdown: GOOD1: The food was delicious. I mean it was far above my expectations, especially since there was no real meat in anything. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. GOOD2: The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They have ready suggestions and are very attentive. GOOD3: The interior is attractive and extremely clean. Also the smell of the delicious food was enough to make me even more hungry. BAD1: Usually I’ll have at least one thing that I could suggest needs improvement but not in this case. I really don’t have anything less than positive to say. Overall … We really like the food, staff, and interior of this place. I’ve lived in Ladera for longer than this place has been here and I’m kicking myself for not trying it sooner. I guess I had this idea that«fake meat» would taste awful or something but that wasn’t the case at all. We’ll be sure to return soon and I’ve already suggested it to some of my friends. Even if you’re not a vegitarian I’m sure you’ll like it. Give it a try.

«First time is a charm!» My friends and I met up in Ladera Ranch for a late lunch. Since they are«flexatarian»(sometimes vegan, always vegetarian) Loving Hut was the perfect place. I ordered the Summer Rolls Jicama, carrots, tofu, soy protein, lettuce, and herbs wrapped in rice paper. Served with our Special sauce. De-LIC-loUs! My girlfriends ordered Mongolian with soy protein and scallions & Deluxe Vegetables. Lunch was De-LIC-loUs! Sauce was good but not great The owner, Phoon is super sweet. Richard, our server, was exceptional. All in all a solid vegan place for me.

I love supporting vegan businesses as much as possible. Happy to know there was a Loving Hut here !! Ambiance: Located in Ladera Ranch– Beautiful location Lots of parking One of the bigger Loving Huts I’ve been to Looks well-maintained and über clean. That’s a PLUS !! Bathroom was FREEZING though. Felt like I was outside in the cold. Brrr… what gives ? Bright and airy just like the ones in San Diego. WHITE is definitely the theme color from the walls to the furniture. I think it may have been too bright for me with the high ceilings though. Signature Loving Hut logo in the ceiling !! REPRESENT !!! Booth and table seating Food: They had some new menu items specific to their establishment and some common ones we have in San Diego(ie. Spicy cha cha, eggplant tofu, phở). Heavenly Salad — Shredded cabbage, soy protein, carrots, onion, and bell pepper tossed in tangy dressing. Topped with herb and crushed peanuts. Strange, but I didn’t notice any peanuts and if there were then they tasted like fried garlic. Oy! I Fortunately, I do like garlic. Kind of skimpy on the soy protein and it doesn’t look exactly like the picture on the menu. But a BIGBUT. it was a large portion for me alone. I was pretty satisfied. Even my bf enjoyed mine. I liked the tanginess and sweetness of the dressing. I wish they had it on the side though. I usually don’t like to douse my salads with too much dressing since it tends to overpower the dish, but the flavor of this was light and I didn’t mind it too much. Eggplant Tofu — Tofu and eggplant sautéed in a light ginger sauce. Served with brown rice. Bf and I noticed the sauce was lighter and less sweet than what we usually have in San Diego. It was also quite oily. We both enjoyed the eggplant and it was piping hot too. Unfortunately, we agreed that San Diego offers the better version of eggplant tofu. The sauce was just not that impressive. Pandan cake — Of course we had to get the signature dessert from LH. Funny thing is it didn’t taste the same. It still had the same look and coconut flavor, but not as sweet(which I like). The cake itself was too crumbly though and fell apart too easily. Better to use a spoon than a fork with this one. EEK ! Also, they didn’t have many desserts displayed up front, but that could be because it was close to closing. We also noticed you get orders in only one size unlike two(compared to San Diego). Prices are about the same and decent. Customer service: Needs improvement like others have said. It was our first time here and walked in looking lost. Nobody came to greet us so we went to grab a table ourselves. Bf had to get up and look for an employee after sitting for a bit. Finally a waitress handed us some menus. Still don’t know if we seat ourselves or they bring us to a table. It wasn’t even that busy. Doh ! They should have a sign directing customers to wait in line or find a seat. Just FYI. We had different servers throughout or dining experience. The two ladies were much nicer and had smiles. The younger guy could use some training. He didn’t seem too happy to be there. Okay more like miserable. I smiled at him towards the end of the night and finally a glimmer of hope when he slightly nodded to me with his palms together greeting me goodbye. Ha ! Verdict: Overall, three stars ! I prefer the ones in San Diego, but I might give them a second try if I’m in the area.
