Love the name of this place. Was up for a weekend away and saw this place. Decided to get their garlic and Parmesan wings. First I’m not a wing person so for me to write this means OMG. these wings are incredible. If you are in the area stop in and try these. OH and they gave the most incredible listing of shot drinks!

Best bar in the lakes region. Make sure you try the wings, chili, burgers and the Rueben.

Absolutely best steak tip sandwich I ever had. Get people and excellent bartenders. They always make you feel at home. Drinks are great and the beer is ice cold. Best spot in the lakes region by far!

Best drinks and wings in NH. You need to add the loony bin to the list of places you must stop at when in New Hampshire

It’s a cool little biker bar that’s half inside and outside with a stage. Food was awesome! Cheese stix are wicked good!

My husband and I went here a few months back, I never remembered to do a review so here goes: the place is small and awesome. The décor is great, lots of funny signs on the wall and they have a border of police patches on one wall from all over New England, that was pretty cool. The service was good, we got buffalo chicken nachos, which there was a big portion! I got a buffalo burger, everything was cooked the way I asked for it I had no complaints. My husband got a meatball sandwich and he was happy with it! We will definitely visit again.

We drove up to NH to visit Fun Spot for our friends birthday. They were closed but these guys were open and ready to rock. We got lots of food(nachos, burgers and other bar foods) all decently priced and delicious. The staff was attentive and pleasant. Funny décor, inviting and comfortable. Great bar!

I’ve been here many times and have never been let down, the food is awesome. 6 if us stopped in yesterday, Saturday, around 1pm for drinks & real good nacho’s & wings, the place was about full of people having lunch. We got excellent service from the bartender, handling the whole place by her self. There’s always a friendly crowd at the Looney-Bin.

love the bin, we are huge fans of the buffalo chicken nachos! We also love the atmosphere, the décor, the food, the shots, and of course the owner, our friend Michelle!!!

We drive 2 hours just to have Michelle’s chili and wings !! Great, friendly atmosphere. A place where a lot of locals hang out, which means great food at reasonable prices. The staff is always friendly and helpful, especially if you need recommendations on what to try on the menu. The owner is an amazing person who you will see running her butt off between bartending, cooking and keeping the customers happy. And don’t forget to pick up a shirt or hat while you’re there …

Had a great time here with my boyfriend the other night, before going to a drive in movie! This was a VERY small biker bar. Which we love. We both have our motorcycle licenses, but are too young and poor to own bikes at the moment. We were there on the day of a wing special. 40 cent wings baby! We got 12 wings each, as well as splitting a Pumpkin head ale! YES! They even put cinnamon sugar on the rim! The wings were killer! Sauce was great! Wings were nice and meaty. Ohhh I miss them already! the two dozens wings and the drink came to $ 15… can NOT beat that deal. I was full after 6 wings because they were so big. I highly recommend going on wing night. …This comment I am about to make does not reflect how I feel about the restaurant. But I feel like sharing this experience. When i was eating dinner with my boyfriend we heard this group of middle aged men and young men behind us talking very loudly with racist undertones. The N word was dropped numerous times and made me furious. I needed to stop myself and remember what some people have told me about up there in NH… that it is primarily Caucasian… and that kind of talk out loud in a busy restaurant might not be too uncommon… as annoying and upset as I got… i just ignored it. Keep in mind if you are not from there, like me, that you could potentially encounter things like this… they were locals and said they go there often.

So I came here a few months back and was pleasantly surprised at how much I thoroughly enjoyed this small overlooked biker bar. Lots of beers on tap and a very creative shot menu made this place stand out. Second time back tonight and tried the food. The food was good. Traditional«pub grub». The customers that were there were happy and friendly. which is more than I can say about the staff. The bartender is the sole reason I can’t give this place 5 stars. Working in the industry myself, I was considerably disappointed with how indifferent her attitude was towards not just my party but how she was with all of her customers. Out of habit, I am constantly trying to make a server’s job easier(stacking plates, trash, etc) whilst not forgetting my manners and constantly saying my «thank you’s» and«please». However, her consistent response? «Yeah» or «yup» which was barely audible because she was walking away from the table as quickly as she could. Completely impersonal and basically felt like she couldn’t care less. Was very turned off by her demeanor. But again, food and drinks were great. Just wish service could have been better.

Despite the sign out front, the food was very good and the beer was cold. The Looney Bin is a good place to stop for a wide selection of beer, surprisingly good casual food and attentive service. Not exactly a family place but they did not seem to mind serving our family.

Looney Bin, bar and grill Wow what a pleasant surprise, clean, small intimate dinning room(very small) great, I mean great tavern food, at least 10 beers on tap, full bar. Don’t miss this place across from Fun Spot in Weirs Beach. One important suggestion, don’t bring your kids, provocative signs are not for kids. Weekends this place is a biker stop, don’t let them scare you off, the sandwich menu is that good and they shouldn’t block your enjoyment of local color.

I love the Looney Bin Bar. Number one thing is they are just about the only bar around that actually stays open all year. Good beer on tap selection and about the only place around that has an IPA on tap. Good food and a clean place. It is a biker bar and not the best place to bring the family but then you won’t have screaming brats around. It is my favorite place in the lakes region. Good food and the beer is also the cheapest around. Service is always great and the owner is bartending most of time and she does a awesome job.

Who the fuck are these people who give 3 stars?! Clearly you haven’t frequented many places in the lakes region area. This place makes the most out of the least. They have fantastic bands In the back area on bike week and great servers as well. Additionally you have the cleanest bar I have ever seen, stainless steel that shines, easy access location with ample parking. A draught selection that is unparalleled in the area and delicious food. So I say rethink your reviews and five this place. Props for making the lakes region feel a little more like home to all us god forsaken tourists and massholes… Oh by the way I went there today and got served by the owner, let’s just say she pretty kick ass as well !!!

My group stopped by the Looney Bin after a day of topsnuF at Funspot, hoping to get a quick bite to eat. The minute we walked in the record screeched. «You aint from ’round here, are yous?» No, it wasn’t really like that, but it could have been. The Looney Bin is definitely a Biker Bar, but the safe kind where tourists pop into every so often. The walls are peppered with black and white bumper stickers with cheeky little slogans like«if you can see this, the bitch fell off.» The staff was very friendly, patient and helpful, but the place was packed, and we really needed a sit-down nosh. The beer selection is pretty good(Sam Adams, Harpoon, some NH regional breweries) and there’s a Kid Rock endorsed whiskey somewhere in there(at least there’s a banner for it). If I were in the mood for some excitement during a long-ish, quiet NH vacation — I’d definitely hit up the Looney Bin. This place MUST be hopping on a Friday night, because it certainly was popular on a Sunday afternoon!

Quintessential Biker Bar — lots of fun during Bike Week, large selection of beers on tap, fun shot menu, paved parking, friendly staff. Simple menu with good food and inexpensive. They close early if they are not busy so make sure to call ahead. We were disappointed to find them closed on our last visit, but it was midweek and entire town seemed to have closed it’s doors.
