Laziz

I am so glad there is another option besides Subway and Popeyes on Lackland AFB. Laziz is a food truck located near our student campus specializing in middle eastern/​greek food. The truck advertises Shawarma, and ever since watching the movie «The Avengers,» I have wanted to try it… had no idea what it was, and even googling it I was a bit confused. Laziz has chicken shawarma, and it is DELICIOUS! It almost looked like curried chicken, but not hot-​spicy… can’t place the exact spices used, but trust me— it’s good! Served with a small salad with something like tabuleh on it and a wonderful yellow rice it was the perfect lunch.
They only accept foreign credit cards, so I recommend bringing cash. Drinks are served out of a couple of coolers.
They also serve kabobs and other items I have yet to try.
