I do not know why this store has such a low score. I use it for my printing needs all of the time. I am able to simply email them my documents, verify what and how I want my documents printed and they print it. Everything that I have ever printed there has come out perfect. The staff is always friendly and able to answer any and all of my questions. I love shopping here.

Office Max is the typical office store where most items are mostly overpriced. From time to time, you will find a good deal on sale. This Office Max location is not bad. I’ve been to this store multiple times and sometimes I have the opportunity to interact with friendly employees and sometimes not-so-friendly ones.

THESIGN«BOOSTYOURPRODUCTIVITY» over the array of 5 cent paper file folders? Ummmm… me and my husband lol’d over that one. Next to it, another item promised the same hollow marketing gimmick. Come on people. They closed my store on the West Side. This one in Lacey has friendly people, but the merger has had bad side effects. Dark aisles, ugly displays.(«What’s a vignette?») Divoga, the reason I loved OM, pushed into a dark corner and scaled back. Stupid trashy earbuds and cell phone cases and teen stickers for cell phones in the center of the store. WHY? Old outdated overpriced movies on display right next to the tiny cash stand… WHY? Best Buy is next door! they wern’t even blu ray! Monitors on display are blurry and unnattractive looking — something was wrong with the setup or maybe they were just bad quality. I am in the market for desks, chairs, monitors. I couldn’t see myself buying anything here. I will be ordering two black glass desks from Target, and two Serta Air chairs from online, along with a parts build from New Egg with three monitors. Office Max on the web talks up innovation in the office but their stores don’t reflect it. All the chairs I tested, displayed in a line along the back wall unlike at the old Office Max which had beautiful vignettes, were unremarkable and uncomfortable. No efforts seemed to have been made to offer even one«really great chair» It was aisle after aisle of generic products geared towards people who never get online to be able to find anything better, or who have to have it right away. But in that case, Staples has a better selection and prices — unbelievable, I used to HATE Staples. But they are more friendly, better stocked, more well lit and more attractive than Office Max now. So so sad. I’m going to Staples and Target from now on, for my office setups, at least Staples still has an area to view desks next to chairs, and an open feel. RIP Office Max. I bought file folders at Walmart for 75% less, theyre not even good for freaking file folders!

I was torn between two and three stars. Its an Office Max. You know what that means. Lots of fun pens and paper and post its. I’m a sucker for office supplies. But it also means underpaid unhappy workers who are probably being forced to do horrible corporate things like maybe work unpaid overtime and yet not given health insurance. Or maybe not. Who knows. But it isn’t a place where the employees are happy, that is for sure. But they have highlighters and sharpies and planners, oh my! On a serious note, they are actually kinda expensive unless you get stuff on sale, then it is often a great deal. Look online first, and if you can be patient, wait a couple weeks and it will probably be on sale.
