Old school grinders and pizza. The valu is tremendous. A really really good pizza place. The ultimate sandwich is the best sandwich on the market.

I’ve been coming here since I was about 10 and loved it since. Mario, the owner, is great. He’s always friendly, comes and says hi, and makes sure his customers are taken care of. His staff is outstanding too. Now for the food! Marios ultimate is a HIT. it’s full of flavor and big enough to share with at least 4 people. Taco Tuesday and Thursday is also my favorite. The tacos are always fresh and so good. They’re really well priced too and have good beers on tap! Come try it out. You won’t be disappointed

Pizza Barn is a fair place pizza. The service and price is 4 stars all the way, unfortunately the food was only 2 stars. Our server was prompt and attentive and the menu had value spelled all over it. We ordered their deluxe pizza with anchovies and the spaghetti and meatballs with a salad. I love it when the meat portion of a meatball meal is half the size of the dish, the tomato sauce was good yet the pasta was a little over cooked. Our pizza toppings were great but the crust was soggy and leathery. We also had the chicken wings which were perfectly cooked, I like that they gave it to us with the hot sauce on the side, and the hot sauce had a good tang and heat to it. There is lots of good parking in the shopping center too.

Just visited this place for the first time. It’s a Saturday night and completely dead when we came. A women with dark brown hair was at the register when we entered. We asked her a question regarding a item on the menu and at the same time the phone rang so she slammed a menu in front of us and ignored our question and answered the phone and ignored us and went ahead and took the phone order. 20 – 25 minutes later we received our food and well over all the food wasn’t bad but service was sucked.

Soo I am a little embarrassed to say this, but I e lived in La Verne for 32 years and I’ve never been to Pizza Barn until tonight. We had an all day craving for a meatball sandwich and after some online research we decided pizza barn was the spot and WOW choose right. Super Big super delicious. We also ordered the Italian Style beef that was equally huge and delicious, and an antipasto sals which was very large fresh and it came with super yummy garlic bread. Great Prices and friendly service, good job guys we will be back.

Lots of high-quality, fresh ingredients make up a rich and tasty Pizza with a chewy, well-baked crust that is loaded with mouthwatering mozzarella cheese, spicy pepperoni, flavorful mushrooms, and a pretty darned good tomato sauce. The Pizza is even better when reheated at home in a toaster oven until the pepperoni becomes as crisp as a slice of pan-fried bacon. This is my go-to pizza place. A fan for many years. Fast, free, reliable delivery.

So me and my girlfriend arrived at 9:12, we called ahead and they said they closed at ten so we assumed we were on time. We arrived about 5 minutes after we called, we were very close. We asked for two beers, then asked about pizza specials the lady said sorry the kitchen is closed. We said we just called why didn’t you tell us that, and she said we’re still open you can get soda or beer. So mt review is based entirely on service as I’ve never had the food.

This place is my favorite !!! I love the ultimate sandwich. It’s just too bad that I live 30 min away. I wish they opened up a location near LA.

Where to start. Came here on a Saturday night, lots of people at the bar, all tables are dirty, picked one and cleaned it up after I sat down, I was not familiar with the place and no one came up to me so I came to the register at the end, I asked if they serve by the slice they said no sorry, I looked at one that’s sized p for personal Hawaiian I asked how much and she said 7.62 after that she walked away in the middle and it is kinda busy so ok fine, I walk back to my table and wait hopefully I can get service. After waiting forever the lady does not stop by but rushes and asks if I want that p pizza I said yes, the problem with this is I wanted wings and a drink but she just took off. So fine I’ll probly get another chance for them to service me correctly, but no, I waited almost 30 minutes for my pizza to arrive, I was very antsy and I was debating if I should just stand up and leave. The pizza is on the counter and the manager lady which I assume she is since she’s always on the phone, let’s my pizza stand there for a good while, after she notices that I’m staring at my pizza she brings it to me, and the rudest thing that I consider is that she places the receipt on the table and states«this Is your bill» and picks up and slams the pepper on top of it and leaves! This is the worst as I was never asked for a drink or if I wanted anything else. I just ate the whole pizza and wrote this review promptly. The pizza itself is average, and this whole service is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. It’s as if 7.62 is something to make a big deal of I never saw anyone else getting the same treatment I received. Sorry I’m not a regular, damn.

Mario’s Ultimate is seriously the best! A co worker of mine brought in 2 big boxes of this amazing ultimate sandwich and we devoured this in minutes. The crust to me makes it, it’s not a thick bread or to thin but just the right texture and crisp. It’s not dry and every delicious tasting. This is was my first time trying this and it won’t be my last. I’m making to drive to try one of these bad boys again!

I wouldn’t say this place is gross, but very disappointing after a strenuous day hike up Ontario Peak. The pizza was super basic and plain, similar to the cafeteria pizza in high school. Whatever though, they had good beer… Will I come back? No way!

On my way over to my boyfriend’s place from work on a Tuesday night, we had planned to go to another nearby pizza place when I arrived. He called me and said, «Want to go to Pizza Barn for $ 1.50 tacos?» «Tacos at a pizza place?» I said, confused. «But why?» We took a chance and went, and I’m glad we did! Who would have thought a pizza place would serve delicious, homemade tacos? Not I. We tried all 3; I liked the shredded beef the best. They serve them with a good, spicy, homemade salsa with avocado, and they’ll make simple tacos with chicken and cheese for the kids. Pizza Barn is almost a literal hole in the wall, hidden in the back of a strip mall and behind a donut shop. I never even noticed it until we visited. The interior is very rustic, homey, and looks to be frequented by locals, families after sports games, and all kinds of people. There are a few arcade games for kids. The menu actually has quite a bit more than pizza, including pastas, sandwiches, and a good variety of wine and beer. We ordered the jalapeño poppers and cheese sticks to go with the tacos… those go with tacos, right? Everything was homemade and reasonably priced. They have specials, such as the Tuesday tacos and the Wednesday AYCE spaghetti for $ 3.99($ 1.50 to add a domestic beer). I love finding local spots like this and I’ll be back. Especially on Wednesdays.

First I have to preface this review with the fact that I’m a server in a restaurant. Been coming here for a couple years now. Not often. But definitely regularly. Once Evey few months or so. Normally the same woman is there. I don’t know her name. She’s a little bit older. But she’s great. Very friendly and accommodating. Well when I was here on April 29th2015… We had a terrible experience. Young woman named Jessie(receipt said Jess). Major attitude problem. Very abrupt and rude. She was clearly busy. But it wasn’t because the place was busy. We just ordered pasta and salad. Two orders. For three people to share. Let them know in advance we wouldn’t be refilling the pastas because we were going to share them. Like we always do. After about 20 minutes we started to get annoyed. It’s never taken this long. We finally tell Jessie we need it packed to go because we have to leave. She gives us attitude. Tells us she could cancel the order… How is it not at least almost ready after 20 minutes? Why would you suggest to us that we cancel it? We just needed it to go. My mom leaves and my friend and I wait. By the time we finally get our food its been 30 minutes. She told us she had a long list of to go orders before us. WELL if that had been the case. Wouldn’t it have been smart to let us know that when we placed our order? Because we would have gone somewhere else. Its not that hard to communicate with your guests. I told her I needed to speak with her and she started walking away saying she had beers to pour. Wow really? So I came up to the bar and gave her a piece of my mind in front of all her regulars. Not sure why she preferred that to me talking to her towards the back of the restaurant. Owners really need go consider if Jessie should be working in the front of house. She wasn’t good with the other guests either. Extremely fake and seems like she hates her job. Anyway. I doubt we will be back for a long time. Probably not ever. Because the spaghetti here is pretty terrible anyway. Not to mention all the obnoxious bar atmosphere.

Whoops! Initially did the wrong pizza place. Anyways we came here after a torturous hike on Mount Ontario. We needed fatty food and our friend recommended this place. The feeling was totally divey. You order at the back and they bring your food to your table. We ordered pepperoni and sausage pizza, supreme pizza, chicken wings and a meatball sub. The pizzas took days to come out. We were all starving and getting a bit antsy. The chicken wings came out first and it was okay. They didn’t put the sauce on it instead you dip into it. I guess it’s good if you don’t like spice. Next the pepperoni and sausage came out. And it was a thicker crust pizza but I really enjoyed it. The supreme pizza came out much much later. You can tell the bell peppers were fresh but I didn’t like how everything tasted. It wasn’t as good as the pepperoni sausage pizza. I was tired of waiting and tried to cancel the meatball sandwich but it was too late. By now we ate the pepperoni sausage and half the supreme. It was just too damn slow if you are starving. One plus thing they had pitchers of beers for a decent pricing.

After reading other reviews I may have just been there on an off day, and I did only order a small pizza and fries, so this review is just based on that and if I ever go back I will revise accordingly. That being said, the pizza was good, not the best I have had, but above average. It was served really sloppy though, it wasn’t an intact pizza. The fries were just fries, hot, but nothing better than frozen fries you can make at home. The main reason for the 3 stars though. It took us over 30 minutes to get our food and the waitress was rude, not attentive at all, and overall uninterested.
