Peruvian food… If you don’t know now you know legit food. Sauces are amazing! Fried rice is incredible! Lomo Saltado is great! Come down and get some

First time here and it was pretty good. It’s a small little spot in a strip mall, but the facility is nice and clean. However, it was a very warm day and there was no air conditioning. It wasn’t packed, as we were coming in for a late lunch. Food didn’t take long to come out. My husband and I ordered the lomo saltado(skirt steak, sautéed with onions over French fries) and the chaufa de pollo(chicken fried rice with egg and green onions) Both we delicious! The lomo saltado could have used a bit more sauce, but all In all, it was good. LOVE the yellow sauce. Will be back to try more of the menu. Price point was a tad cheaper than most of the Peruvian places I’ve been to, which was another plus!

I ordered the Lomo Saltado tonight for pick up. It was ready once I arrived and took it home. I must say this is the best Peruvian food locally! My Lomo Saltado was perfection. The meat was tender with the right amount of seasoning along with real rice –none of the minute rice you get at some food places. The green sauce had a slight kick and was super yummy over the rice. An Inca cola finished making it a traditional meal. I love this place. Good to know Caral Peruvian Grill is around now that Inca Trails is no longer open.

My mom and I came here to try out the food and it was absolutely delicious. We tried a few different things we had the Papa Rellena, Fried Plantanos, Chicken, Beef and Spinach and Cheese Empanadas and the Flan. All of the food was delicious we were both pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend coming here and will be back again.

My boyfriend and I tried this place because we’ve never really tried Peruvian food, and man was it worth it. I got the Chaufa de Pollo and he got the Aji de Gallina. What I got was basically fried rice and that’s what it tasted like, however it had plenty of chicken and egg in it so it was fully loaded fried rice! I had it with this spicy green sauce that came with our empanada and that made it even better and added that little kick I love in my food. My boyfriend’s food had a very tasty gravy over his chicken that tasted homemade and was simple yet delicious. The chicken empanada was cooked perfectly so that it was nice and crispy on the outside but still soft and juicy on the inside. The older woman that helped us was so kind and polite, I really appreciated her personality, it added a very homey small-business type of vibe to the place. And she seemed really happy when we told her the food was really good, it was adorable. The place is small and has a couple tables, but it’s very clean and well kept. It’s a place where you order at the counter and sit down, but we had a good brought to us. Overall, wonderful experience for our first time having Peruvian food. Will definitely come back!

Amazing food! I want to eat here every day. I ordered an empanada and the dish with rice, chicken, and onions in a sauce! I forgot what it’s called. I’m excited to try different things on their menu :)

Went there last night with husband. We had the empanadas they were very good but a little greasy. For our main we had pollo saltado and the chicken was dry and stringy, the onion needed to be Carmelites and tomatoes needed to be cooked more with the sauce, but the seasoning was excellent. Had the Carmelle cookies and they were amazing. Place was clean and the staff very nice.

Nice little quaint place to grab a bite to eat, I saw they were under new management so I decided to stop by and get the tallarin verde with chicken and a order of ceviche. The food was fresh, it was delicious and I really had a good experience here :) definitely coming back!

Order the lomo saltado! Only thing I’ve had from there because it’s too good to stray away from. Their dressings on the side make the meal 100%. Quiet staff but they are friendly.

I found nothing wrong at all with this dining experience. The service was great and the food was phenominal. Very authentic Peruvian. Full of flavor and fresh ingredients. Good size portions. The lomo saltado was spot on and the Papa Rellena was heavenly. I will definitely be back to try the other classics.

We got Papa la huancaina, papa rellena, lomo saltado empanada, aji de gallina empanada and aji de gallina. Everything was delicious. We came here due to Inka Trails closing. Same owner. Their hot sauce is amazing as well. Super fast and friendly service. Definitely coming back.

The food was not great. Have been wanting to try this place since Inka Trails started promoting it a couple years ago. Today we ordered ceviche and lomo saltado. They tasted pretty bland and being Peruvian myself, I know peruvian food is not bland. The maracuya tasted very sweet and artificial but the crema volteada was pretty good. Not too sure if I will go back to try something else and give them a second chance.

A clean little casual restaurant in the corner of a strip center. Ordered the ceviche and lomo soltado. The ceviche was very tasty and refreshing, perfect for a warm day. The lomo was very good as well. The staff was cool and the portions very generous. Definitely worth trying if you’re looking for a good quick lunch.

My first time trying Peruvian food, and I’m a believer. Buddy ordered the Lomo Saltado(a mix of skirt steak, sautéed onions and FRIES people) and moaned through his entire meal. I almost had to snapchat, the shoveling food and the soft groans of pleasure that came through every 5 seconds(or less). I was pleased when it came time to box up leftovers that there was no extra oil on the plate. Although the food is full of flavor it doesn’t sit in a bed of oil and so I never felt the need to «blot» with paper napkins throughout the meal. I ordered the Pollo a la Parilla(rice, chicken, chopped green onions, fried egg) and enjoyed it equally well, although I found my fork straying to the steak and onions dish across from me. We both crashed out in a food coma after that lunch. I would like to return for the burger(egg on top) which is a popular item on their menu. A win!

This place is homefood perfection. Lomo Saltado tasted so good. Not too salty but can use a little more meat. Beef Empanada is also yummy, crispy flaky crust with delicious beef filling. I forgot what the name of the burger with the egg on top of it is called but that’s also a good dish. The plantains inside the burger give it a sweet and salty combo. Great balance, nothing overwhelming each other. Sauces are a compliment to all the dishes. I just wish they had a bathroom. But overall the customer service plus the quality of their food was great.

La Verne has a gastronomic gem with this Peruvian restaurant. It’s a small place with five or so tables, so I ordered my food to-go. I checked into Unilocal where I discovered a coupon for a free empanada(minimum purchase of $ 6.99). I ordered a plate from their a la carte menu but I can’t remember the name of it! It contains grilled beef & red onions, moist French fries with a side of rice. This dish is stick to your ribs good! Be sure to ask for their Verde(green) salsa. Oh so good. I got the creamy chicken empanadas. I like this place and yes I’ll be back again soon!

Great find after our round of golf in San Dimas. Caral is a small moms/pops Peruvian restaurant located in a strip mall along with a few other establishments. Authentic Peruvian is what you’d find here at Caral. Lomo Saltado, delish. The beef was tender, the fries and onions, yummy. I thought the Aji de Gallina(shredded chicken with a pasty sauce and potatoes) was good but too rich(I’ve had better in LA). Chicken Empanadas? Came out hot, fresh and tasty. All in all a good experience. The owner and was training a new cashier it looked like and both of them were pleasant. Restrooms in the back but you have to walk past the kitchen. BTW… check into Unilocal and receive a free empanada like I did! Good food!
