My family and I discovered this place through Unilocal. It definitely fit the bill. Good pricing on margaritas and good Mexican food.

The food here is great and the service is excellent! The my family needs a place to eat and have a taste for authentic Mexican food with a staff that’s warm, friendly and always accommodating there is only one place for us — La Casita in La Quinta. I don’t know how they do it… Are oder is always on the table in a heart beat. And their Flan is to die for! Another business that knows the meaning of customer service! Keep up the good work! We’ll see you soon!

Went and ordered the menudo on Sunday and there multiple strands of hair in it. That’s what we went for so we asked for the check and charged us for the two sodas we hadn’t even drank yet.

The tamales taste just like home. They also have really great fajitas and on Tuesday you get them for an unbelievable price. Take the family, the plates are huge and they are extremely reasonably priced. It’s become my Tuesday traditions!

They were very welcoming coming in and sat us rather quickly. This is my second time coming here. It’s been awhile since the first visit and i actually remember not liking something, but I came today with a new slate. I got the shrimp ceviche tostada which was delicious and I will totally get again. Also got the combo plate of a chicken taco and cheese enchilada with beans and rice. Beans and rice are ok, the chicken taco is very good with a little of the chip salsa on it. The enchilada, I’m not fond of the sauce and i believe that is my own opinion of a flavor of sauce I just dont care for. The thing that was a little annoying was that there were 3 different staff help us with our drinks and ordering and I don’t think I really know who our official waiter was. It took awhile to get our order and it took forever to get our box, check out and go. Other than that it was a pleasant meal and visit.

The service is always wonderful and it’s a good price for the amount of food they give you.

I have two reviews: First, on our way to La Quinta Resort, we were looking for a quick bite. Saw La Casita, and was hoping it was a taco shop, but discovered it was more sit-down. Had a very enjoyable lunch — food was tasty, and service was very good. While we were the only folks in the place at a post-lunch time of 2:30, that doesn’t always guarantee good food and good service. Every year we land at the resort for a family reunion. Up until two years ago, we made Las Casuelas our Saturday dinner destination with a group of 40(adults and children). We stopped going there because the food was not very good and overpriced, plus the service was average at best, and they always made us feel like we were getting rushed out. After lunch, I thought maybe La Casita would be a good choice for us this year. They have two dining areas which meant we could have one for our group which has now grown to 50. Not only was Jose the manager happy to have us, he suggested a buffet for our group. We got chicken fajitas, chile rellenos, cheese enchiladas, taquitos, and mini-chimichangas with all of the fixins’ — cheese, cilantro, guacamole, salsa, tortillas, and more. The food was outstanding. Everybody was happy and had a full belly. Gabby and a couple other servers kept the drinks flowin’, and we could not have had a better evening. I highly recommend La Casita! Thanks Jose and Gabby!

We went here with for dinner on Thursday night. The fajitas for two with steak are solid as the grilled onions, peppers, and tomatoes with the plate of rice, beans, lettuce, and tortillas is fantastic. The mar azul and la posada margaritas enjoyed were plentiful and delicious, as was the peach margarita. The manager Juan also features a singer who has he range of Elvis Presley to Frank Sinatra — yes — at a Mexican restaurant. We so enjoyed pollo yucatan with generous portions! Excellent service and strongly recommended!

Always seated immediately. Always service with a smile. Crayons and coloring pages for the kiddos. Festive décor. Two baskets of chips right away. Refills on drinks before the glass is half empty. Food is delicious.

A-Ok after a day at the pool and a few cold-frosty’s. We got there around 5pm on a Sat and it was fairly dead. The servers were very friendly and attentive. We started with a couple drinks and table-side guacamole, which was pretty damn tasty. The chips were above average — the salsa was loaded with uncooked white onions — a bit overwhelming. My wife ordered the Combo Fajitas and I ordered the Chili Colorado Burrito. Hers looked and tasted great — fresh, well seasoned and loaded with onions and peppers. The Chili Colorado Burrito was just OK, very rich and while the meat was tender, it was very one-note. No real texture or depth. By the end, it was basically a plate of mush. At the end of the day, it was a decent meal at a decent price with above average service. I would definitely give the place another shot but I’d never order the Chili Colorado Burrito again.

No draft beer short happy hour(3 – 5). Have been coming here for years but something has changed. Maybe the others La Casitas(independently owned) still offer the products and services that I have come to expect from La Casita.

Stumbled upon this place while driving to Newport Beach. We were playing restaurant roulette and this placed was the winner. Clean, pleasant service and a GREAT menu. Daughter and I split the Chili Colorado plate and holy Shnizz, it was amazing. Wife had a tamale and beans and she said they were fantastic. Do yourself a favor and look for this place if you are in the area. You won’t regret it. We will definitely be back.

I have eaten here numerous times. They have great atmosphere and their staff very friendly. However the food quality is not consistant. Sometimes it is great — fresh and flavorful and sometimes not — dried rice and tortilla, and several times very slow service. They are a good place to go for happy hour. Refreshing drinks and tasty happy hour menu.

The best things about La Casita are Omar, and the special held for fajitas for two — olé! The fajitas for two is $ 13.99 with coupon, but Tues and Thurs for the same price. Omar, get a special mention for being particular nice and cordial. Really cute and festive inside, but outside — non-descript and doesn’t stand out against the two others on the same block. Would I go back? Yes.(for fajitas and Omar!)

We went here for dinner the other night. The friend we were staying with had a coupon for the sampler platter for two. It was nicely decorated inside with a Mexican motif, but because it was a large room with high ceilings it was loud inside and made it hard to hear. I would have liked a cozier atmosphere. My husband and I shared the sampler platter for two. It was a lot of food and was all good. We also got a pitcher of margaritas which is always a nice option when you have a group of people. La Casita was average as far as Mexican restaurants go. There are lots of other Mexican restaurants in the area and next time I’m in town I’d probably try some place different.

I can say from experience that La Casita Mexican food cures hangovers. And this is a handy culinary talent to have! I also ate here twice and the chips, salsa, food, and sodas(yes, that probably helped my hangover too) were all delicious. The glass of wine I had my second visit wasn’t that great. The wine tasted old and watered down and the glass was really tiny and awkward. Their tortilla chips are light and crisp. Their salsa has good spice to it and chunks of tomatoes and onions. Their food tastes freshly made and flavorful. Their rice is exceptionally good and fluffy. I had the 2 cheese enchilada combo and it was so yummy AND took my headache away. The Servers are on top of things and were very helpful and polite. The décor is wonderfully Southwest and the outside patio areas are fantastic. The bar area looked fun too but I didn’t have a chance to check it out. This is a great place to come, relax and have some good food in a cool atmosphere.
