This place does look a little sketchy. I got here right when they opened and didn’t know what to do so I rang the bell. Good thing someone answered or else we probably would have went elsewhere. Dry ice is cheap at El Monte. I got 10 lbs for my Coachella trip, which lasted for about a day and a half(I should have got 20 lbs instead). Anyways, they’re quick to get you what you need.

Speedy service and cheap dry and regular ice! Glad to have an ice house in my neck of the woods rather than having to go to a supermarket with long tedious lines or liquors with inflated prices! The ice is Icier than my fade! polo down yes yes yes!

@Winfred C. I thought most supermarkets like Ralphs sell these in blocks, too. Anyways, I usually swing by to get 5Ibs of dry ice on my trips to NorCal. Its just freakin cheap compared to Ralphs or the Penguin brand. Its like the scales they have at the supermarkets always weighs more than the 5ibs here but there’s less! I come so early in the morning and the guy inside is just sleeping like he might always be here and I just ring the bell, but like others have said he’s a nice guy so don’t judge him.

Horrible look to the place. Looks like a ice locker out of a horror movie. I worry about the quality of the regular ice. The dry Ice is hard and super market quality. This is not a place to get quality dry ice. The dry ice is a frozen block instead of the nice powdery stuff that you can get at other places that make their own. However I do agree that the guy is pretty nice. I only buy ice here for my fishing needs when I have to. If I have to drink from it, I would go to one of the liquor stores nearby.

i’d have to agree w/Kam T. this is the most convenient place to get your dry ice and it’s pretty cheap too. Sometimes if all you need is a small amount of dry ice, they’d give it to you for free! i think u just need to flirt a little. flash that sexy smile, u know?

I’m definitely a fan. This place is where we get the dry ice to use in many of our projects/experiments. The guy that works here is very quiet and looks kind of scary(because he doesn’t smile), but he’s really super nice.
