Great shop, the business has been here since 1960. It’s an old school, full service barber shop. The four Barber’s that work here are all in their 60’s and each one has been a barber for over 40 years. I recently moved to SD from northern CA and saw a sign on amaya Ave saying walk ins welcome. So, I stopped by and Russ(same name as mine) was able to get me in. It was refreshing to find an old school barber that really knows how to cut hair. He only works Thu, Fri & Sat. I was fortunate that he was able to get me right in, as appointments take priority. I highly recommend My Barber, Russ 619−977−8846

I have been getting my hair cut here for over 25 years! Mike gave me my first barber haircut when I was a wee-boy and does the same great job today. Ron has also been cutting my dad’s hair for that length of time or longer. The place is a classic men’s barber shop offering basic, but stylish cuts with good ol’ scissors. Mike uses a straight razor and hot shaving cream to clean up the back and sides of the neck. Of course they also do hot towel full shaves if you really want a treat. The place looks the same as the first day I walked in! They keep fresh magazines for guys(Newsweek, Popular Science/Mechanics, Car & Driver, etc.). It smells like old-school aftershave and you have to check out the pictures of the barbers on the wall — they are old! No lies, this place is in a strip mall so if you are expecting a spa, this isn’t it. The atmosphere is quiet and mature — a great place to escape the world of women for 30 minutes!
