I suffered from upper back pain, mainly the trapezius muscle due to extensive, long –term work on the microscope. I am a Ph.D. scientist, and also an amateur ballet dancer. I had a lot of pride and strongly believed that I am active and in a very good shape, all I needed to do is to stretch out after work and the dance would always help. All is true but not enough, and the muscle maintained its«bad memory», the pain worsened. One day, a fellow dancer suggested massage therapy and recommended Sarah. Oh, NO! I am always skeptical about massage. I was hesitant and waited until it was too painful even to read a book or on a laptop. Then the inner pride started to subside… but there came the next uncertainty: massage is so personal, will I feel comfortable? The short answer is: I am convinced! Here is why. It was October, 2011. I still remember Sarah had to work so hard during my first session with her since the damages were so deep and have been accumulated for YEARS! She said that I am tough because whoever has this kind of tight muscle must be suffering from a great deal of pain. Sarah is an expert in massage therapy, professional and caring. I have been calling for her service regularly since then, not only for myself but also for my girls, who were only teenagers back then. Now I still have my pride but also believe in «preventative maintenance», which I have to do for my microscope. It was a shame that we as scientists automatically know the instruments need maintenance but not ourselves! Sarcasm! Sarah’s expertise is not limited to massage therapy; her Pranic Pantry is also part of her talent and creativity. All my family likes the lip balm. I also like the hand balm, the essential oil/perfume blend, lavender body spray and the Floracopeia essential oils she distributes.
