Can’t get enough of this place. Perfect chow mien and the crispy honey chicken is the most delicious I’ve ever had. The service is so-so but I don’t even mind because of how good the food is!

Second time attempting to try this place and it failed again miserably. Had the chicken lunch combo, chow mein and teriyaki chicken. The chow mein was stuck together, the chicken had to much fat on it and all together the meal was luke warm and was DROWNED in sauce. Definitely not an enjoyable meal for $ 8. I will stick to my panda express where I get my money’s worth and great quality food. Overall this place was disgusting.

3 stars for the quality, or lack thereof, of the ventilation system. There was so much smoke at the time, I had to wait outside while they cooked my food. I came here to get food, not mesothelioma.

Normally love the brand, but always something with this location. Lots of frowns and combative attitudes today. They overcharged the same order I’ve been getting for 10 years. Total blow off when I inquired. Then they proceeded to argue. I mean, really? Rice was dry and the beef was tough. I muscled through it then vowed«never this location again.»

I often stop here for dinner on my way home from work. Take-out never takes too long and even if it did, their house chicken would be worth the wait! Very delicious! You can also ask them to make it spicier if you’re into that, which is great for the spicy lovers like me!

Quick and very personable customer service. Always consistent food and consistent service. The girls at the front know me by name! :) Even during busy times the staff keeps their cool. Thank you for always helping me 5 minutes before you guys close :)

Great place to pick up lunch on the go. They have good lunch combos. I like that you can order online and just go pick it up. I had their chicken veggies lunch combo with brown rice, very delish. Lots of healthy options to try here.

I ordered Teriyaki Salmon. The fish was good but a little less Teriyaki would be great. The veggies were perfect a so the brow rice. I would prefer a little less of grease in my food.

I ordered the garlic shrimp entrée with fried rice upgrade. The food was good, however I couldn’t taste much of the garlic on the shrimp because there was just to much soy sauce in the entire entrée that also came with mushrooms, carrots and other veggies. The fried rice is made with brown rice which is a plus however It tasted just bland, comparing to pandas fried rice tasted better. I did enjoy my food and would return, but I wish they would put less soy sauce or soy sauce on the side as an option(not sure if I can order this, no one asked me otherwise). Bottom line too much soy sauce took away from the garlic shrimp taste and was over salty because of this.

Good lunch but for gosh sakes… fix the A/C! We literally had sweat running down our face as we ate. Not good for return business!

For fast food it was edible. We ordered the family pack. It was enough food but the crispy wontons and crispy dumplings were not crispy. We only live 4 minutes away. The juicy sauce from the coconut Thai chicken ran into the chowmein. It was edible though. On a good note, the orange chicken did taste like orange! The pad Thai was good.

Convenient yes. But I’ll never eat here again, couldn’t even finish my salad wrap lunch threw it away and ate a granola bar instead. Very clean and nice workers but even the Orange chicken wasn’t edible. Go somewhere else for Chinese food or fast food

The food is REALLY good!!! But the ratios of what you get are horrible! The Orange chicken is full of oranges and peppers, and you get some chicken in there if your lucky. The House Fried Rice is delicious! But every single time we get ONE piece of shrimp, a couple pieces of chicken and the rest is rice. The portions are big, but like I said, a little more of the«good stuff» in the meal would be great. And this isn’t a one time thing. This is every time we come. We have complained once, but its really not worth it.

Meh. It is a chain restaurant. I was not expecting much. That’s what I got. I ordered broccoli beef because I figured… hey… no one can really screw that up. It was not delicious, at all. However, they did serve up the mediocrity in a large portion at a cheap price. So, for someone who is hungry on a budget and does not necessarily care about the food… it’s okay. The interior was bright. The iced tea was delicious. The rice was good. It was cooked to order, so it took awhile to get it with the scores of take out orders ahead of mine. I would not go out of my way to come here again, but it was fine.

GREATFOOD! BIGPORTIONS! Fantastically fresh, friendly service and lots of genuinely healthy options. A couple can honestly share 1 entrée and rice combo.(You will both be full too!!) If you like Panda Express then you will LOVE Pick-Up-Stix! Enjoy!

The Thai coconut curry tastes good, but barely any vegi’s :(and the rice is regular white rice not jasmine. Overall my bowl was ¾ rice with ¼ entrée. I would have preferred a bit my sauce for my rice.

Been hitting Pick Up Stix in La Mesa recently and all I can say is Wow! They have lowered their prices and I love it. My favorite is Kung Pao Chicken, it rocks. Highly recommended. Staff is very attentive and on top of things and at your table at least a couple of times per visit. Take out also available if you want.

It’s a chain restaurant. I get it. Now get over yourself. The food here pleases me because it consistently provides a style dish that some locations around the city do not. I know there are better mom and pop places around town but with every hidden gem there is a bacteria infested place with people who barely understand what I’m asking for. Even the best places in San Diego have you worried for your safety or wondering how old the $ 2 can of coke you just purchased is. Pick up stix is not the best Chinese Food in the city. It is a clean, quick and friendly place to frequent when you are craving this style of food. Tips– Get the house special fried rice(bomb) Always get the bigger size because this food heats up so well later.

I’ve been going to Pick up Stix since the beginning. As like all businesses, they are constantly adjusting their menu to keep it fresh & new but I’m a «stay consistent» kind of guy who has pretty much the same thing all the time«house beef». The food and service when dining in house has always been good. But I’ve had some mistakes on take out orders on weekend evenings — so before you leave; double check your order!

I haven’t had their grub in years and have only eaten take out. This time we ate in. Definitely the way to go. The young lady that took our order was very friendly, as was the entire staff. The food took awhile, but was well worth the wait. It was delivered to the table and was hot and fresh. I got the broccoli beef with brown rice. The portion sizes are very generous and more than enough. The rice was served separately from the broccoli beef, which I liked because I was able to mix the two as I saw fit. This was as good or better than similar places of this type. I would definitely return to Pick Up Stix if in the area.
