Manny’s Cocktail Lounge

This is the kind of bar that’s getting harder and harder to find.
Not a fancy place but very clean. I love my ipa s but if you want a place to relax after work manny’s will do just fine… as for the other review about «racist white people» in this bar, that’s complete garbage. there are guys who at first glance look the part but a actually very nice to ALL…#dont judge a book by its cover.

Jodi the bartender was very nice, awesome, and understanding, I would give this place a ZERO star though if I could. Ana Marie is also a great bartender and friendly when I come in but the owner is so unprofessional. He forces his employees to sell alcohol to people who say they don’t want to drink, Harasses his friendly employees in front of customers, Is apparently greedy because if people don’t want to drink; regardless if they are playing on OPEN tables, he wants everyone playing to buy something (alcohol). Why not just sell the time for tables by hour? A business to me is about the people who own it and work for it. Because of the owner, this place got a 1 star. If it wasn’t for the very unprofessional owner of this business its workers would get a FIVE STAR because they are amazing, professional, awesome, caring, and diligent to their customers. Manny’s is one of the few bars in La Mesa an under 25 year old can go to have a pretty good time, but mine was ruined. I wanted to come here to relax and get my bad night off my mind, but tonight that didn’t happen.

This is my kind of place! Cool bartender’s and owners. Two pool tables and smoking area out back. Near a Chinese food buffet that’s good eatin’ during daytime.

Great little dive bar, it keeps that regular day time bar crowd feeling through the night. I’m a bartender & I love coming here, plus it’s walking distance from our house!

cant beat a bar next to a ihop right? wrong! place is ehhhhh. pour is good, kinda dark inside even at noon, if your not into east county douche bags don’t bother ! this place is packed with the red hat half racist limp bizkit listening to fuckers ! last time i was there about four losers started fighting with each other over a stupid beer that wasn’t any of theirs, some chick left it there when she walked out and not a single one of them even paid for it… losers
i do end up here once in a great while with a friend or two and have some fun but never stay longer than a hour!

I actually heard about Mannys a year or so ago. I heard it was a good local blue collar bar.
Went last night, and it was perfect. Music is hip/​hop-​top 40ish. Bartenders nice. Place was clean, beer was cheap. I can see it really getting packed later at night.
Not any pretentiousness. Decent place to get loaded.

Manny’s is cheap but has little else to recommend it. It has two bar sized pool tables and not many places to sit down. It may have 40 seats in the whole place.
It is one of those bars where you see the local plumber’s, AC company’s etc trucks at two on Friday afternoons because you can get blitzed on 10 bucks if the bartender decides to wait on you.
Cheap not much else to recommend it.
