Had the Keratin treatment and haircut by My. She is such a nice person. She took her time and didn’t rush through the process. And I like my haircut. The shop is so quaint. I will return.

Alexis is amazing! About two years ago when I first came to SD, I had a stylist bleach my hair blonde and the results were a disaster. My roommate recommended Alexis to me and Alexis completely saved my hairs life. She always gives me the perfect beachy blonde but also is cautious about not trying to damaging my fragile hair… which after two years of seeing her, has become healthy and happy again, all thanks to her. And that’s not even the best part. The greatest thing about Alexis is that she actually really and truly cares about her clients hair and wants to make sure you get exactly what you want. For example, I purchased clip-​in blonde ombré extensions and Alexis felt the extensions didn’t quite match my hair (I thought it looked good but I’m garbage with hair) and took the extensions home and individually highlighted each of the 8 extensions wefts. Yeah, she’s frickin awesome. I will never let anyone else touch my hair as long as I live in California! Alexis is THE BEST!

Alexis is the best!!! She is always willing to accommodate me and my crazy work hours, she always find a way to fit me into her schedule, even if it means coming in early or staying later. My hair has always been prone to breakage but under her care, she has helped me to grow my hair. I have gotten many compliments on my hair and people are always surprised to know that I have extensions. She is a fantastic hairstylist and I highly recommend her. The entire staff at the salon are great.

I live in oregon and while visiting friends in San Diego I decided to get my hair cut and colered. I found this salon on Unilocal called and got in immediately with Elaine. I told her what I wanted and that I needed to trust her expertise and judgment. While there I found the stylists all friendly, one brought me a cup of coffee, another offered me magazines all with a smile and genuine warmth. The best was the results! The highlights blend beautifully and the cut is fresh and easy to style myself, my hair looks awesome. I recommended Chanel’s to my friends here. I’ll come again on my next trip to San Diego

I made a same day appointment with My; my hair needed a keratin smoothing treatment and was long overdue for a haircut (as in 2 years overdue). Having curly hair my whole life has made me slightly wary of hairdressers, but My knows exactly what she’s doing and was very attentive to my concerns about going too short.
In the end, the A-​line cut and keratin smoothing treatment worked out great! We even decided to go a little shorter in the back. She was very receptive to my requests, spent so much time on my cut, and I couldn’t be happier with the results– my hair is lighter, silkier, and has better shape to it now. Love your curls!

Love this salon. Always happy with the services I receive. The owners are beautiful and always well put together. Makes me more comfortable, because they take pride in their own appearances. No gossip in salon either!

There’s nothing better than to sit down in the chair and tell the hair stylist…“Make me look good” and she knows exactly what to do! Mylene is a great stylist. I always get so many compliments on my hair style and my hair color!

Chanel’s boutique is right in my neighborhood, and I’m so glad I went in to get my hair done. My hair is chemically straightened, so it doesn’t do much more then lay straight. Alexis did my hair the first time, and gave me curls for a party I was attending the following day I. This was the first time my hair held a curl, and they lasted for a few days! The second time Elaine did my hair and again it turned out perfectly, I even bought a product she makes herself and I use it all the time. I cant wait to go back and get clip in extensions in the next few months for my birthday, I know they will do a fantastic job as usual. Very happy customer!

I have gone to Elaine for about 6 years now and I have never had a better hair stylist, she does a relaxer and extensions for me, and people can’t even tell that they are there, highly recommended! Alexis is awesome too, I just love them!

No complaints here. This salon is professional and makes sure that there clients are happy. My cousin hired them for her wedding and they created great updos for the bridesmaids. Excellent work!

I had the best experience, and I love my hair. It was like a transformation! Elaine and her daughter were both very nice, and provided great service. I will definitely be going back there from now on! My hair is short, but she gave me a long curly weave, and people swear it’s mine!

I have just recently moved to San Diego from the East Coast and a friend of mine recommended me to this salon. Alexis (my hair stylist) co-​owner of this boutique was great! Beautiful salon, customer service was first class. Not to mention her mother (co-​owner) also distrubutes her own line of hair care products. I will definitely be returning. Best stylists in SD! I’ve been desperately wanting highlights. After doing some research I made an appointment at Chanel’s with Alexis. When I got there my fear of hair dye damaging my hair got the best of me and I let Alexis know I was nervous. She recommended weaving in few tracks of colored extensions into my hair so it looked like I had highlights, no dye involved. Genius! So about 3 – 4 tracks later, caramel highlights peaked through my natural dark hair and it looked amazing! I was so thrilled Alexis was able to work with what I wanted and provide me with a great outcome. I went back to her last month for a relaxer and a trim which turned out perfectly– full of body, feeling and looking so healthy. Elaine has the booth next to her and gave me great advice about how to wear my hair natural, the right setting to use on my flat iron and what products will work best for me. If you are looking for professionals who genuinely have your best interest in mind, know what they’re doing, and are amazing at what they do I recommend these stylists at Chanel’s.

Alexis is the best hair stylist I’ve ever met. I have followed her everywhere she goes and i’m so happy that she has her own shop now. she is friendly yet professional (and that is very hard to find now days)
I have very thick hair and i am very particular with my color. everywhere i went before i met Alexis, i would show the hair stylist a picture of what i wanted it and they could never get it. Alexis has always nailed the color, cut and style i show her EVERYtime.

Alexis has been my stylist for 10 plus years and she is absolutely the best! Kratin treatments, color, cuts, weaves, extentions, you name it, she has mastered them all! I went natural back in 2008 and cut my hair down to a 2 inch fro and under Alexis’ care, my hair is now below the mid of my back! I love it when your stylist cares as much about healthy hair as you do! Unlike most hair salons/​stylists, she is extremely nice and professional. The salon is very cute and quaint and provides a relaxing atmosphere. I won’t be sold any where else. Sincerely, a VERY satisfied customer!

I have gone to so many different hairstylists and most times its a hit or miss proposition, but Mylene gives me an awesome haircut every time. She is really cool and down to earth person which I appreciate. the atmosphere is really great as well. Highly recommended.

Alexis and Elaine are an awesome mother daughter team! Along with stylist Mylene, they cut, style, color, perm/​relax, and specialize in beautiful hair extensions that would fool anyone. I just got a keratin treatment and sew-​in extensions and I’m so happy with the outcome! The salon is clean, pretty, and conveniently located on La Mesa Blvd about 2 min away from Grossmont Center mall. Another thing that I like is that they have years of experience in working with multiple ethnicities and their client base reflects that. They also sell quality products, which is nice. Kudos to Alexis and Elaine for taking their excellent work from a well known salon in Mission Valley to their own establishment here ;)
