Wonderful hospital with amazing talented Clinical staff. My father calls it the UCSD Hyatt so beautiful and really patient and family focused room settings. Nurses are warm and attentive!

My family has a serious genetic heart condition running through our generations. I was seeing a different cardiologist, but I asked our Children’s Hospital cardiologist for a recommendation and he referred me to a doctor here. When a doctor refers his family to a particular doctor, you can be pretty well assured it’s a good doctor.
I feel well-​taken care of each time I go there. Sometimes there’s a really long wait, but that’s because the doctor’s taking time with each patient (including me) and they also teach and do procedures and do research, so their clinic time is always short. So they give you a buzzer that goes off when it’s your turn. I bring a book and ask the front desk how far behind they are.
I would give it five stars, except I had to stay overnight here twice and a) the night staff is really noisy. Like «whistling through the hallways when there’s no other sound» noisy. You need earplugs. and b) their food is the most horrifically awful hospital food ever. If you stay over here, make somebody go to their café and buy you regular food.

Great center here. Happy staff makes a difference. The grounds around this place are kept immaculately.
