When reviewing all the mess that Obamacare is going to create, I started researching alternatives and wow did I find the right path for me! The concierge medical office requires that you have PPO insurance. You still pay your visit co-​pay, and in addition you pay $ 2500/​year flat fee to join the practice. This gives you immediate access to your doctor, who will also text you, email you or call your cell (and you get your doctor’s cell number). In a real emergency, the doctor comes to the house. Weekends are included, you always get a return call. When you need a specialist or other services, they arrange everything for you so you don’t have to wait.
The facility is somewhat hidden, they are not even listed on the marquis. So you have to get all the info when you join. The offices are new and beautiful, and have a waiting room with tea, coffee, and fruit plates, as well as comfy couches and no one else in the waiting room. What a pleasure! What a difference! Parking is right in front and if you need a wheelchair, James the manager comes cheerfully out and wheels you in.
Everyone is so friendly and helpful, you just couldn’t ask for more. As far as I’m concerned, this is worth every penny. If you want to escape the coming horrors of the «new» health care (read: socialist medicine), this is the way.
