What a joy it was to book with The B&B Inn at La Jolla. My bride-to-be stayed here the night before the wedding. The B& B was very accommodating to our whole wedding experience. We were able to preview the rooms prior to booking. They allowed our wedding photographer and wedding cooordinator access to the available rooms to plan certain shots that we wanted to capture prior to our ceremony. We found the Holiday room completely gorgeous for the bridesmaids and bride’s preceremony photos. The garden off the kitchen was perfect for our first look. Our stay was very comfortable. The 5-Star chef experience for breakfast and dinner were incredible. The 3 course breakfast with the other guests at the table was very cool with great conversation and lots of laughter. It was absolutely a pleasant stay with a very spacious room that was perfect for the 3 bridesmaids, MOB, MOG, and 2 photographers. I will definitely find another reason to stay there again.

We came to La Jolla from Scottsdale Arizona hoping to relax for the weekend. We notified the staff several times of our diet restrictions and had to return our breakfast served on both days. I wonder did someone not tell the«chef» of our diet restriction. Both days were so disappointing. The grounds of the bed and breakfast are very nice and so is the staff. However there is no excuse for not being prepared when a guest asks for paleo type meal. Would you serve them a potato tart, and risotto? A chef could have quickly prepared a frittata. Instead on the first day after realizing we couldn’t eat the potato tart gave us poorly prepared scrambled eggs. The. Second day no substitute for the risotto was offered. A few other details… water was not freshened in the morning for guests to drink. Guests had to search for glasses of water. On our first breakfast day, The beautiful Iris arrangement had extremely smelly cloudy water which was unappetizing for the guests. Booking us on the phone and then encouraging us to view your lovely website with an advertised discount. Calling within five minutes of booking reservation and being told that it’s too difficult to get adjustment. We came as a guest to enjoy our time away. As an owner of a small business ourselves, please take this critique we are giving you as our prospective so you can improve your service to others. The fine details matter to most guests along with Breakfast being part of the«bed and breakfast» and should be prepared/attended to with the guest in mind. Thank you.
