Excellent experience! We took our graduated seniors here to celebrate. The atmosphere was superb. The ocean views at dusk were inspirational! The bathrooms had actual hand towels. Ryan was our server and graciously explained all the fancy terms and nuances to our kids. He made the Caesar salad by hand at the table. Since one of our students is a vegetarian, he left the anchovies out for her. He made great recommendations. We order a sushi platter starter and a crab cake appetizer. The crab cake was fantastic. We ordered off the anniversary menu. The lobster dish was my favorite! Followed closely by the lamb«lollipops» and seared rare tuna steaks. The tofu was not as fabulous as the rest of the food. For desert they gave us a raspberry tart type dish. Perfect blend of sweet and sour. The perfect delicate finish to our stuffed tummies!

I never review restaurants unless I have eaten at the establishment but we never got that far. Unless you are«VIP» don’t bother with this place. Having made a reservation in April with a requested window seat we were told upon arrival that it was not available. I was not upset about this part until we were seated next to an empty window table. We asked if we could sit there and we were told it was reserved. Again, that’s fine, here’s the problem, two minutes later another party asked the same question and all of a sudden the table was no longer reserved. We promptly left as we felt we were treated disrespectfully. On our way out we informed the hostess of this rudeness and were told they had VIPs. Funny, the«VIPs» were not just given that table from the beginning. I’m calling BS. Frankly, the restaurant was not booked for the remainder of the evening only the ½ hour of high tide.

5⁄5 solid stars Why 5 stars? 1) What a view! So this is the restaurant where the baby seal came to visit that one day. I would love to come back during high tide! 2) Service was spectacular and Executive Chef Bernard Guillas came out to greet us and sent something special to our table. What a nice surprise! 3)The price is very fair, given the quality of food, service, and ambiance. We ordered the following: –Kurobuta Pork Cheeks and Foie Rossini: 5⁄5WOW this dish was AMAZING!!! Might have been my favorite of the night. –Cacao Nib Plum Smoked Beef Carpaccio: 3⁄5 eh, this was just OK. –Hokto Farm Organic Mushrooms: 3.5÷5 pretty tasty –New York Steak Signature Dish: 3.5÷5 This was off their special menu that night and the portion was too large for me to finish. Leftovers the next day! –Peri Peri Butter Basted Lobster Tail: 5⁄5 Wow, well prepared. I love the sweet, tangy, and savory of this dish. –Spindrift Cobblestone Pie: 4⁄5YUM tasty!!! –GF Macadamia Passion Fruit Dacquoise 2.5÷5 eh, this was a bit disappointing Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here!

We were traveling with our adult boys and several people recommended that we try the Marine Room. It was easy to make a reservation through OpenTable. It happened to be the restaurants 75th Anniversary which just added to the pleasant experience. Everything we had was very good and well worth the price. We all like the Crab Cake appetizer. The Sea Scallops and Lamb Shank were both perfectly prepared. The service was attentive, but not overbearing. We will be back next time we are in the San Diego area.

Expensive meals, beautiful ocean views, inadequate drinks options, tasteless food(even when the bar is set very low), and average tasting desserts best describe the experience at the Marine Room. People are influenced by the 4 star rating they see here on Unilocal, they are further impressed by the ocean views. Stepping back, I can see how one might be swayed to give a 4 star rating to this restaurant but considering all things, there is simply no way I would recommend the Marine Room to a friend. If you want a glass of wine, ocean views and a dessert, come here by all means, but please save for yourself major disappointment if you are looking to enjoy a meal with family and friends. We tried Salmon and Beef for the main dish and couldn’t even eat half of the portions because there was simply no flavor at all. Yes the presentation was beautiful but the food taste was just rubbish. The appetizers were ok. In all, I wish I had listened to a friend who had warned me against the food quality. Don’t be cheated by the hype and looks, this place is not worth your money, time and relations. You can enjoy the same views with a better quality food at Jake’s in Del Mar(and that’s a true 4 star restaurant).

The views are breathtaking but the food and service are not quite as memorable. We came in on a Friday night and the place was medium busy, but not full –with no wait, this should have been the first warning sign. We were immediately seated and our waiter came by to give us menus and take our drink order. We were surprised at how un-interested he seemed in us. Usually at nicer restaurants they talk up the dishes and make conversation, none of that here. I should say that the menu descriptions of items were all mouth watering, but we were disappointed on almost every course. Nothing was bad, however for the prices nothing was impressive either. I started with the lobster bisque which had very little lobster– it did have some pancetta flakes which added some nice depth but for $ 15 the soup didn’t knock your socks off. In terms of drinks they have bottles of wine for every budget which was nice, and cocktails as well as good beer options. We split a bottle of California wine and had no complaints. For entrees I ordered the special– the Neptune trilogy– it was a plate featuring a trio of prawn, scallop and swordfish. The swordfish was fantastic, cooked and seasoned beautifully. The scallop was pretty good, But The prawn was fried and honestly aside from the fun presentation was a waste of space on the plate, absolutely no flavor, or easy way to eat. My wife had the filet mignon which came with whipped potatoes and some vegetables. It was pretty good, nothing bad– but nothing special. For desert we decided to splurge and order one of their signature dishes– the cobblestone pie. It was described on the menu as a mix of expresso ice cream, hazelnuts & bourbon sauce. What came out was a gigantic and wholly off putting slice of what tasted like a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake. We paid our bill and left– although nothing was bad, our overall impression was all style and no substance.

I’m so glad I found out about this place on the KTLA Morning News! We took my mom here for dinner to celebrate Mothers Day, and it was the perfect choice. The food was delicious, and the view was incredible! Also, the plating and presentation is elegant, and fits with the classy ambience of the restaurant. I made the reservation months ahead of time because I was afraid it would fill up, and we’d be out of luck. The only thing that I wish could be improved is that they could have guaranteed a table next to the window, only so I wasn’t worried about it. Because we got there early, we were able to snag a window seat, so it was all good! WHATTOORDER: The Steak with Herb Butter and fingerling potatoes was amazing! I ordered it medium, and it was perfect. My sister ordered the Surf & Turf, which looked really good, and she enjoyed every last bite of it. For dessert, they surprised us with a Crème Brûlée, which was delicious, but we are hardcore chocoholics, so we ordered a couple more desserts. There was an ice cream pie similar to Mudd Pie on the menu, which was quite good, but the star was the Dark Chocolate Pyramid! It was rich, velvety, and indulgent. The base had a crunchy texture, similar to a Kit Kat Bar, which contrasted nicely against the thick creamy texture of the rest of the dish. The waves really do crash right against the glass, creating a dinner show and a feast for the eyes. We were even able to sea seals and sea lions playing in the surf as we ate. Watching the sunset during our meal was a magical experience, and I highly recommend booking a reservation according to what time the sun sets, so you can enjoy the show too!

Dinner at the Marine Room was incredible and the perfect setting for our 10th anniversary. We made reservations in advanced for 8:30pm. Our plan was to enjoy the Happy Hour and the amazing ocean view before sitting down to dinner. At the last minute my husband and I decided we wanted dinner earlier and asked the hostess if any time was available before 8:30pm. To our surprise she was able to work her magic and found us a beautiful table by the window. At the Happy Hour we were able to have a couple of cocktails(Lady St Germaine) a refreshing light and crisp citrus drinks and a wonderful Crab Cake appetizer. The bartender was helpful, friendly and welcoming. Just so happened our drinks and appetizer looked so yummy other customers copied us and we all had a nice time celebrating our various special occasions. Shortly after the Happy Hour we were seated at our table and it was lovely. Our waiter was very nice and informative, upon his recommendation we ordered the surf and turf dinner: Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon. The plate of food was beautiful and we felt like celebrities. We had an amazing time enjoying the tender juicy Filet Mignon and the Lobster was moist and tender with just the right amount of seasoning. From the time we entered this elegant restaurant until the time we left everyone was kind, friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had an amazing time eating our dinner and watching the sunset over the ocean.

The place was too quiet on a Tuesday for its hype, so you can time your meal there and not have to call in for a reservation a week in advance. The restaurant itself is very spacious and big, which made it seem that much emptier. I had the Bombardier for cocktail and it was good. Then the lobster bisque, followed by the pistachio crusted lobster and a trio of desserts. The three were delicious and cooked perfectly. The server, Jim, was also great, and extremely attentive, but not in an obtrusive way. The restaurant aside, you should make an effort to visit during high tide to see the waves crashing against the windows. Not that it is all that glamorous, but that’s what the Marine Room is known for.

Came here for my B-day. Parking is easy, there are lots of spaces along the street if you do not want to do valet. Before the seat was ready, we hang out in the lounge area which had big windows and right up to the water. The restaurant is small and the table areas are tight. We had a table for 2 in the middle of the room first. Then after we had our appetizer, we were asked if we want to move next to the window. We thought that was very thoughtful of them, but we do realize their main intention is probably to combine our old table with another one to accommodate a larger party waiting. A smart move that satisfies everyone, the view by the window are amazing with the sunset and ocean waves crushing in. The food are expensive here and I’m surprised that there isn’t a lot of selections. We ordered prawns and crab cake for appetizers. The crab cake is full of flavors and prawns are refreshing. For entrees we tried the lobster and the scallops. I was really disappointed with the scallops, it tasted bitter. For dessert I chose the chocolate pyramid, it was dense and sweet. Overall the experience is great and next time I will come for high tide :)

We were on vacation in San Diego and I had heard wonderful things about the Marine Room. So we decided to make a reservation. I have to say, we were very put off by the service we received. It seems that if you don’t have a $ 500 hair cut and a 3 piece suit to match, you will not be treated as respectfully as some of the other guests. My boyfriend and I are late 20’s/early 30’s and wore«business smart» attire and we definitely were not taken as seriously as the middle aged couple sitting next to us who had probably bought their outfits from one of the more expensive stores in La Jolla. The food and view were absolutely superb, which makes me very sad to write this review in a negative way. We are from NJ and in restaurants here, you just don’t get treated negatively based on the way you look the way we did at this restaurant. The food really was fabulous. We had the Diver Caught Sea Scallops and Maine Lobster Tail as our entrees and they were really great! The chef really did a great job pairing interesting foods on the plates with the dishes. We also both had the lobster bisque and were very pleased with it. We make it a point to try lobster bisque as often as we can, and sometimes we walk away unimpressed. But the bisque here was definitely worth the $ 15 price tag!

This place is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. You don’t stay in business for this long if you’re not doing the right things. While many restaurants in La Jolla pair their ocean views with mediocre food this place offers the best of both worlds, the best views of the Pacific perfectly paired with gorgeous dishes packed with flavor. If I were asked to offer one suggestion on how to make this place even better it would be to improve their cocktail bar program. While they offer classic and signature cocktails they are subpar in quality when compared to other restaurants. They had Aviation on their menu but didn’t have Crème de Violette so they couldn’t make it for me. The Negroni was quickly watered down due to the ice they used.

I’m so glad that I came here for the High Tide Brunch event. Although it was stormy outside, I saw waves crashing against the window, which was awesome! The service was great and also the food was beyond delicious. The service was great and the waiters were awesome at taking the empty plates off the table. The coffee was also strong, which I liked. All the food felt so fresh and every thing was well planned out. The desserts were so great too. The ambiance was cozy. I would come here again, definitely, after my wallet gets full again hahaha.

Amazing birthday dinner here last night! My boyfriend and I had a perfect seat facing the waves. It was so nice being able to watch the seals and birds all night. Also loved the fact that the service wasn’t pushy. We took a long 2 hour dinner and it was so nice to take our time and enjoy ourselves. Some places get so pushy! Food was also amazing. Lobster bisque, crab cake, ahi tuna was all felicitous. Can’t wait to come back here during high tide

I hope you don’t get LOST! Valet Parking available for a small fee. I’ve been here a handful of times and every visit is always a memorable one. From the valet attendants to the hostess, I felt like a welcomed patron. I can’t remember the servers names but on all occasions they were absolutely great! I’ve had the following dishes: Special: Surf & Turf — Filet Mignon with a lobster tail Cesar Salad Togarashi Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna Center Cut Angus Filet Mignon I had a handful array of desserts The view is amazing and a great date night restaurant. If you want to impress someone make sure it’s when the waves are crashing. BEAUTIFUL and yet kinda scary with the waves crashing on the windows. Exciting!

Really blown away by some of the bad reviews on here. My husband and I went for our Valentines Day dinner and I think its one of the best places I’ve ever been if not the best. I’ll start by saying, I do agree with some of the reviews regarding the poor customer service. The hostesses all pretty much seemed like it was an inconvenience to help us. They made no eye contact and kind of acted like we weren’t even there. Not sure if they’re rude or just have no idea what they’re doing. That being said, the ambiance and food was enough, in my opinion to make up for that brief issue. I don’t at all understand the comments saying the food is bad. ALL the food we had from the Valentines Day menu was above and beyond any meal I’ve had recently or ever. It was incredible. The view is beautiful and romantic. And our server, for the most part was good and attentive. It is VERY expensive.(Our dinner was close to $ 400) so definitely only for special occasions in my opinion. But I will be back.

Although I had a prior excellent experience for dinner, on this visit, tried their brunch during High Tide and it wasn’t the same. Friend made reservations for 3 of us during High Tide. Tide is so high that a baby seal had broken into the restaurant into a booth just a few days prior. Its quite the show of waves crashing, while eating. With that said, its very popular and it was very busy for a Monday morning brunch. Parking can be difficult in this area and I just valeted it($ 8). We were seated immediately upon arrival(even though one member of our party hadn’t arrived). Brunch is Buffet style. Hmmm. I have a tendency to dislike having to maneuver up and down steps in heels with plates. Food? This was what was disappointing. Nothing stood out. They had an omelette station, which was the best, but the ingredients were pretty standard(ham, cheese, green onions, mushrooms). Tried sausage, bacon, eggs benedict(this was disappointing), blintz, etc. Everything tasted rather bland. Price was around $ 50? I found it overpriced for quality of food. Maybe decrease the number of choices, but have better quality items. Finally, service was friendly, like I remembered it.

I went to the Marine Room for a drink and to enjoy the view before having dinner elsewhere. It’s no surprise why this place is highly sought after, the view is outstanding and all food dishes that passed me looked remarkable. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly, knowledgable and professional. If in La Jolla again I would definitely pay another visit to the Marine Room to try their menu.

Unbelievable view! Very elegant place. The food… Not my taste. I love to feel the taste of the good fish or lobster not the spices and herbs. I use them when I cook to cover how bad cook I am :))). On the other hand my friends were very happy so I guess it’s my fault.

Restaurant Week Review Below(Experience may be better when it’s not Restaurant Week): Atmosphere: Wooooooooooow. This restaurant is breathtaking. It has a great gatsby, 1920ish feel and is right next to the ocean. The waves of the ocean are literally hitting the windows of the restaurant. There is a full bar to sit at in case you are in need of a drink or two while waiting for your table as well. Service: I had made a reservation at 9pm for my girlfriend and I and called ahead and let them know we were going to be a few minutes late. They kindly acknowledged it and my girlfriend and I arrived a few minutes late. When we got there we discovered that it didn’t really matter if we had made it to the restaurant on time. We had to wait for a table to open up for an extra 30 minutes despite still having our 9pm reservation. It’s not a huge problem, but for high caliber restaurant such as this I expected a little more time management. Food: Bread was cold and lackluster(not a dealbreaker, nor a huge complaint at all; I just expected more from a restaurant of this stature). 1(appetizer). Blue Crab Bisque w/cornbread: The bisque was very creamy and had a great crab flavor. There was a very nice noticeable amount of crab in it as well. The bisque could very well be a meal in itself because it’s so delicious. 2(appetizer). Prawns: I can’t tell whether or not if the prawns are supposed to be served cold or not, but i’ll give the benefit of the doubt and say they are. The prawns were cooked well(not rubbery, but very tender) and the plates’ awesome presentation was a foreshadowing of the great blend of flavors they provided for the plate. 3(entrée). Filet Mignon: The Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. There was a red wine reduction drizzled with the steak as well that was exceptionally good. However, with a price and the reputation The Marine Room has, I expected more. I was expecting more of a wow from the steak whether it’d be more salt pre grilling, or some signature salt/pepper/spice blend. Trust me, I enjoy my meats and I appreciate steaks for what they are. I don’t bury my steaks in seasoning, but I expect some sort of blend of salts and peppers for the steak to pop out. 4(entrée). Lobster: The lobster was great. I can’t do anything, but compliment the plate because the lobster was cooked perfectly, tasted great, and the butter on the side went so well with the rest of the dish. 5(dessert). Lemon Meringue, is very much on the tart side. A little too tart for me and I couldn’t finish mine. Godiva dark chocolate, was very bitter and went well with the lemon meringue a little at a time. Black current sorbet, was a nice brightening of the pallet after all the dense food. Only thing keeping The Marine Room from getting a 5⁄5 would be the time of seating, and the dessert. But I also feel that these faults were due to it being Restaurant Week so I’ll just have to come back here with my girlfriend one last time~

Unfortunately, I got stuck going to this place again at short notice because when we got to La Jolla, every other place was fully booked. GREAT Food: I had the chicken and it was absolutely delicious SERVICE: for some reason, the young servers here have far too much attitude and I just don’t care for it. Since it was a bit late, things were quieter than they were the last time I was here.

Very cool restaurant. Nice for special occasions. We had salmon which was fantastic and beef which was good but not my favorite. Service was great, could not have been better. The restaurant has a very bright light on the ocean waves crashing right in front of it which made the later evening dining pretty neat. Only disappointment was we requested a window table for our special occasion but was seated at one of the tables farthest from the window. I should have called and confirmed after making reservation. Overall a unique and memorable dining experience.

I have been going here for years for restaurant week or anniversary’s. I highly recommend this place to everyone. If you’re worried about the cost, you need to go during restaurant week. I love to come here during SDRW bc I normally cannot afford to. The views are amazing at sunset(5:00 pm) and extra special when the tide is high and the waves crash on the windows. So romantic. The service is impeccable. Great attention to detail. To start, I had the local artisan lettuce which sounds underwhelming but is so amazingly flavorful: butter lettuce, candied blueberries, thin toast crisp, some kind of amazing jam and cheese. Tons of mouth pleasure. For the entrée, I selected the scallops and they had a nice pistachio crust. Perfectly prepared and huge. The gooseberry is an extra special pop and kick in the taste buds. My party also indulged in the salmon, beef cheek, and lobster. The lobster was soft and scrumptious with lots of flavor. Everyone was happy with their selection. Lastly, dessert was a sampler so you don’t have to pick. Lemon meringue, a black currant sorbet, and a chocolate pot de crème. The lemon was my favorite but I also love lemons. The crust was so buttery and decadent. The Marine Room is very special and always a wonderful treat.

Great service, great food, and great view. I’d rate them 9 and a 1 – 10 scale. Management, here are the two things that could make you an absolute 10 plus. First, get a grand piano and have the pianist play mostly music that resembles the era of when the Marine Room first open in 1941. No amplification, no vocal, no other instruments, just a piano. Second, serve your steaks on heated plated like many Chop Houses do.

Solid four star. What can I say, you are right on the water! The signature filet and lobster was pretty good. I preferred the lobster but both entrees didn’t quite have the pizazz I was hoping for… It’s unfortunate because this place came highly highly recommended by a trusted friend. Not to say it wasn’t good because it was. It’s just that nothing I ordered blew me away. That being said the place still gets a B+ or 4.2 overall, except location it’s very exceptional in that regard. You are literally right on the water. The waves are crashing right in front of you so in that aspect it is tough to beat. In addition to a great view, they have great service, classy décor, and very above average food so… Bring your date, its a romantic location so don’t forget to dress classy or they won’t let you in. Collard shirts, slacks, and no beach attire is required. It’s a classy establishment, I hope to see you there, cheers, and happy eating!

Alright, so the marine room is beautiful. However, we were so not impressed by the food or our service. Our waiter last night seemed preoccupied with everyone but us and when he did come around to us he was stand offish and rude. I ordered the salmon with the potatoes and asparagus — the salmon barley had flavor and just didn’t taste right. My husband ordered the rack of lamb — still something wasn’t right. I hate to say it but our food was bad. I can say I enjoyed my wine! But I will not ever be back. I will say I liked poseidon better.

It’s had been a few years since I last dined at Marine Room. Came back this year for restaurant week. Parking: They offer valet and there is also street parking available. The road is pretty narrow near Marine Room. View: The view is amazing, and the best part of coming. We were seated one table away from the window, but we still got an awesome view of the sunset and waves crashing on the window during high tide. Also, when we first came, we people kayaking and some strolling along the shore. Food: For restaurant week it’s a $ 50 menu with the option of upgrading to the lobster, tuna, or steak for an additional charge. My choices were pistachio coated prawns, scallops, and for dessert three sweet tastes were combined so you can sample several desserts. The prawns were probably the best choice as an app as we all ordered this. This was good and came with sauce and oil. I typically do not order scallops, but wanted to try them here. There are about 4 –5 large pieces served. If you don’t mind the consistency, they are surprisingly pretty filling. For dessert, the trio included a Pana cotta, salted caramel tart, and a blackberry ice. These three were pretty different and a good mix. The small serving worked as there was not too much of a good thing. Marine Room is a nice place to come with amazing views!

Food was«OK»; nothing spectacular. We ordered the Filet Mignon as well as the Steak and Lobster which was a 6 – 7 oz. filet accompanied by a 6 – 7 oz. lobster tail(tail was a little bit on the smaller side). Nothing special. Menu is a bit limited as well. View was great, but be prepared to have the sun shining in your face/eyes as you wait for the sunset. For the caliber of restaurant this is supposed to be, the service was really lacking. Our waiter disappeared for what seemed like an eternity after taking and bringing us our order and did not seem genuine at all. The hostesses were very unprofessional as well. We were celebrating our anniversary, so they did bring out a complimentary dessert, which wasn’t that great anyway.

New favorite restaurant right here! I cam here with my mom during restaurant week and had a phenomenal experience. The food, service, and view(which was stunning) were all fantastic. Short answer? If you’re a fan of seafood and appreciate fine dining, you HAVE to come here. Now for the details… Our reservation was for 5:30pm and we were seated right away by the window facing the ocean(not sure if this occurred by chance or if it was because we specifically requested this on our Open Table reservation). Our waiter immediately tended to us, and we ordered pretty quickly afterward — I ended up ordering the prawns for the appetizer and the scallops for the main course. The appetizer came out unbelievably fast. After ordering, I went to the bathroom, and after I came back the prawns were already there! First off, the plating was absolutely beautiful. The color balance was gorgeous and the arrangement was aesthetically pleasing. The taste only enhanced the dish — oh my goodness, the prawns were PERFECTION with the sauce and jam, and the quinoa complemented(but did not overwhelm) the taste. Now onto the main course. The plating, again, was stunning. I swear this place is a master of color balance and arrangement in general. And — yet again — the taste did not disappoint. These scallops were hands down the BEST scallops I’ve had in my life. I cannot even begin to describe the heavenly, melty texture and how well the sauce added to the flavor. The bamboo rice was also a great addition — a good complement to the scallops. I also liked how the dish included a thin slice of melon on top of the rice; it was a nice and light contrast to the more substantive scallop. And finally, the dessert. Do I even need to talk about presentation? Probably not. You probably get the gist of it from what I’ve written above. I liked all 3 desserts by themselves, but I LOVED them together. Holy, never have I tasted a dessert platter that fit so well together. The chocolate tart was definitely the heaviest, but the heaviness was counteracted by the much lighter and fruitier blackberry ice. The panna cotta was somewhere in between, and could’ve stood on its own. Overall, loved this place(if you couldn’t tell already). The only thing I might ask for is possibly an explanation/debrief of the dishes upon arriving. I know I was the one who ordered them and should technically know what they are, but it’s just nice to be reminded/introduced to the dishes when they actually come. Other than that, I have nothing but praise for this place.

This place is super upscale and it is recommended that you get your car valet. If you don’t have cash don’t worry about it, you can include the valet into your meal tab. Beautiful view of the ocean at sea level. And very nice staff. Unfortunately the menu style looks like it’s very old and has not been updated over time. That already made me cautious when ordering, because the best food are food that has been updated over time. For a appetizer I had order the lobster bisque soup. It was creamy and it was just okay. Nothing stood out to me. I also ordered salmon. There was WAYY to many herbal green veggies on top. It just tasted to raw and made me feel like I was eating plants out of a forest. My husband ordered a steak. I always advise him to not order steaks at a restaurant if that restaurant isn’t solely known for their steaks. But he did. It was not well seasoned or had a flavor of its own to stand out. 5 star for ambiance 5 star for service 1 star for food.

This was my first visit to the Marine Room for a romantic dinner with husband because he had been on the road so much. Started in the bar area with some glasses of wine and had a beautiful view of ocean in the evening. Although our table was ready, staff was fine with us sitting longer in the bar area looking at ocean. When we went to our table, we had another ocean view. Although restaurant was filled, it was quiet. We were greeted immediately by a friendly server. He went above and beyond providing fantastic service. For example, I ordered the special appetizer of the day, it had shrimp, scallops and ahi. I didn’t like the scallops and didn’t eat it. Server noticed and took the appetizer off the bill. In addition, after our entrees, he surprised us with dessert. I’m a big fan of George’s, but for a beautiful, intimate dinner date, I highly recommend the Marine Room.

Por el precio no es nada extraordinario, la sopa de langosta era horrible, la deje entera y nisiquiera y ellos no preguntaron porque o si me la cambiaban por otra, uno paga por la vista y la localizacion. No regresare

Make sure you get a window table and go during high tide. The place is really neat cause the restaurant is directly on the water and the waves sometimes crash up against the window. This place is really romantic and expensive… and if you’re lucky you might not sleep on the couch! The food is also very good. Don’t take a FIRSTDATE here, you’ll set the bar too high and forever be indebted!
