La Jolla Riviera Inn

Just checked in a few hours ago and this place is great!
The staff are amazing — both at the front desk and also the facilities/​house keeping (Jose was his name).
Excellent location, pool is great, lots of extra free items such as beach chairs and others.
So far so good!

BED BUGS!!! I spent 2 nights there, and from the time I left and drove back home up to LA I was covered in bed bug bites. I lived in NY years ago and had a bed bug problem once then so I know what these bites look like. They won’t even refund my money, all the manager said was «Maybe it was an allergic reaction». Bites all over my back is not an allergic reaction. Do not stay here! Spend a couple more dollars and go to a quality/​clean place.

My boyfriend and I got the livingsocial deal for a one night stay at this cute apartment complex. According to the manager they just started doing one and two night stays recently (they usually do a week or longer stay). It was within walking distance from la jolla shores beach and next to la jolla tennis & country club. We stayed in a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment that was beautiful and perfect for a relaxing get away! We definitely will be coming back and hope there are more livingsocial deals for this cute place.

Got a deal from Living Social and spent just one night in a one bedroom suite (room 6 is a first floor corner unit).
Very friendly manager who was genuinely interested in making sure we were comfortable and happy with our accommodations!
Yes this is an older property. No it didn’t have a lot of extras — like a hot tub. But it is in very nice condition, our room had been upgraded fairly recently.
I like it and would stay there again — in fact, we are talking about renting it for a week sometime soon!

It’s an old apartment turned into a hotel. The bed is so uncomfortable, and it smells weird in the living room area. I would not recommend this hotel.

The Riviera inn in La Jolla California in my opinion is the best place to stay if you are on a budget or looking for A quiet place to call home minutes from the beach on your vacation. This place has everything you need when you are away from home. I am the type of person that normally brings my own sheets for fear that the bed is not comfortable enough. To my surprise I didn’t need any of that the sheets were comfortable, nice comforter, extra blankets/​pillows, Iron/​ironing board, laundry basket. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything. For example nice silverware, pots and pans, plates, drinkware, water pitcher, Tupperware, cooking utensils, scissors, dish soap. I even brought my own cutting board because I thought the one there might be wooden, Nope! Her cutting board was just as good as mine. I brought my hair blower she had one, shampoo conditioner, body wash, lotion… The room has it covered! I set my own shampoo and conditioner aside and used her little mini philosophy travel size shampoos and conditioners. You really only need to bring your clothes yourself & an open mind for all the activities that are within walking distance of the Riviera inn. In our two day stay we snorkeled with leopard sharks, kayaked in the caves, paddle boarding, went out to eat, and visited a 7 mile stretch of the coast. The Riviera in is located exactly 4 minutes walking distance to beach access. The staff members were amazing. Every morning or night we came out They said hello and made sure that all her needs were met. The experience was very personable making sure that they congratulated us on our anniversary. They gave us great recommendations on where to eat all the best local places. Some people may say that Yelka is too strict with too many rules. I personally loved the rules because it attracts the right people (im 35.) The last thing I need is to be in a sorority house while I’m trying to relax. This place gives you just the serenity that you need. Hope this review helped everybody out. I tend to ramble on so I hope it sounded okay we will definitely be back (With a peach pie)
