Hula Hut

Formerly known as Rudy’s, this casual restaurant across the street from the Cheese Shop is perfectly located for the beach crowd. All the seating is outside. The service is very friendly and quick. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate come in big blue china cups. Tea is loose leaf. The food we had for breakfast, however, was mediocre. In particular the muffins were terrible. I mentioned to the manager that we had had a nice breakfast, but that the muffins were not so good. It seems like a place with a walk-​up coffee line should have decent pastries. I know they are available locally, so it’s especially tough to swallow lousy ones. We live fairly close and have patronized earlier iterations of this spot, so are hoping the food improves.
