[NOTE: not actually a café… requires resident access]

I’m pretty sure this place is closed. I moved into this complex recently and have been walking by it every day. There are no hours posted, no lights on, and no information posted about ‘opening when the semester starts’ or anything like that.

It’s our most proximal dispensary of brewed coffee, cold water, and canned soft drinks! I can’t commend too much on this place since nowadays it’s pretty barren(as opposed to it being fairly operational last year). I find that this little café that sits at the edge of One Miramar is really cozy. It’s a bit snug, but comfortable. It does get quite congested at times, so you might want to sit outside and get ready to snag the next available seat inside. There’s a large LCDTV displaying the Mesa Shuttle, so that’s a plus, too! I generally like the people that come study/socialize here – definitely more of my kind of people.

For any study crunch time, this is the place. Clean, never too crowded, and coffee round the clock. Plus if you get here before 10p or so, it’s «open» 24⁄7. Geisel has climate and stench problems, and in other coffee spots, finding a seat turns people into watchful vultures. Free parking on the 5th and 6th floors of the parking structure.

A very nice student owned coffee shop. Great atmosphere and a fantastic place to work. It’s mostly convenient for the students at One Miramar and Mesa Housing, but there’s free parking in the structure next to it. They’re open regularly on weekday mornings and on non-weekend evenings — not so good for an afternoon break or hanging out on the weekends, but good for your morning fix or a place to work or hang out after your day. Good coffee, good vibe, good place.

This place is so convenient… down the street from me, free wireless, parking, a nice little lounge area, good coffee & treats, and no one bugs you if you hang out for a long time… BUT it’s never open.

For some reason, I get a ton of work done at this coffee shop– perhaps it’s because everyone else hitting the books also and the counter on the side of the wall provides ample space to spread laptops, papers, food, coffee, purse, etc. The music playing wasn’t my style, but I listen to my itunes whenever I do school work anyway. The girl working there was very friendly. Mike had a coupon from the student saver booklet for a panini and 16oz coffee for a reduced price and I got a vegetarian chilli. Mike’s smoked turkey panini looked really good and they have 6 or 8 coffees to choose from. The veggie chili was decent, but had too many beans and tasted like baked beans… Since I’m not a UCSD student, no wi-fii access for me! :-(but on the bright side, there were less distractions and I wrote a good chunk of my thesis. Even though I’m just a poser, I want to come back and try their baked goods. Prices aren’t bad either.

FOOD/DRINK: 1.) Caramel Latte = Mmmm so good. Perfecto with a packet of sweetner. SERVICE: cordial ATMOSPHERE: So cute! Small, comfy, quaint, personal tables, few couches, hanging plants, with a great mix playing the background, and WIRELESSINTERNET(for ucsd students only I think) Drawback tho, it can get stuffy when the door is closed.
