A friend of mine and his teenage daughter were coming from abroad to visit for a month. I was organizing their activities during their visit and suggested that she takes a guitar lessons with Bill Dickson. She liked the idea and the next day she was already playing the guitar during her very first lesson. She was so much excited about the lessons that she preferred them to literally any other activities we had during their stay. It probably has helped that she had previous musical education playing piano and singing, but I hear that it is usual for Bill’s students to start playing right away. Bill is a professional musician and a composer so I imagine there is no lack of theory in his teaching, but the practical approach he has lets his students have fun and is definitely keeping them want to return. After the visit the parents said their daughter had the greatest time visiting, and I am grateful to Bill Dickson for that. After returning home she continued taking lessons, and when I asked her about her new teacher, she said he was«good, but nobody can be better than Bill».

I have been studying guitar with Bill for several years. He is an exceptional musician and unique teacher. His unconventional method will allow you to learn to play your instrument(guitar, mandolin, ukes or bass) in no time and have fun right from the start, while progressively growing your skills and learning new techniques. Although now I can play I still find quite rewarding playing with Bill because there is nevere an end to what you can learn from him. Being a composer Bill can teach you different styles(classic, rock, blues, jazz…) and techniques(lead, rhythm, fingerstyle, slide) and explain you the theory behind all these. Besides his musical skill, Bill is an extremely fun guy and good time is guaranteed.
