Yum! Fast food empanadas = the best idea ever! The mushroom, onion & cheese with the chimi-churri sauce was excellent &BBQ pork was fresh, moist, and not overly saucy. I will absolutely come here again.

I live a half hour away, but will make the drive when the craving strikes! Flavorful. My family loves the beef empanadas but chicken, spinach, sausage, BBQ pork also delicious. We usually have to wait 10 – 15 min since we usually order at least a dozen and they start getting eaten on the car ride home. The chimichurri sauce is amazing. Depending on who is working, they sometimes add it with no charge which is nice.

There are more kinds of empanadas here than you can shake a stick at. There are traditional Argentine types — beef and chicken, as well as international — tomato/mozzarella, spinach(like spanakopita), and American(ham/cheese) varieties. There are some sweet ones too — didn’t try. These little hand-pies are $ 2.49 each, and 2 – 3 make a decent meal. It’s a good value. I liked the beef, chicken and ham/cheese ones the best. They are tasty and the crust is appealingly flaky and not too heavy. However, some of the fillings were not warmed all the way through — too obvious that they were heated from frozen. They are served with chimmichurri sauce, which was too oily, and didn’t look like it was made from fresh herbs. This is the sort of place that should be operating out of a truck.

Ordered empanadas for work and they were pretty amazing. When we called in the customer service was horrible but the food made up for it. Got to try a little bit of everything but personally my fav was the one that tasted like a pizza! The outside of the empanadas are to die for! Defiantly want to order from here again! Make sure you eat them while their hot… If you don’t they can taste a little salty and not as good!

this place has empanadas ! lol A lot of them ! we had the following: caprese, bbq chicken, chicken, corn, Nutella, pork. all are very good but the top for the group are: caprese, pork, Corn. They are small enough so that you can enough many different types. They also have huge selection of beverages and teas. It’s a overall great place but it is just a little far from the city.

I visited this little place today with my mother, sister, and family friend. We had heard good things about their empanadas from another friend who recently tried this place and wanted to check it out for ourselves. The food was good, not great. I could tell their dough had been frozen too long. I had the caprese empanada. What really sucked about our experience was the attitude we were given by the employee. He was unnecessarily rude to us when we asked simple questions. Some empanadas are shaped differently and my mother just asked what it was, and the employee answered a bit aggressively«It’s the same amount of food, it’s just shaped differently.» There was no need to answer that way. He was just plain rude with every interaction we had. I wouldn’t eat here again. When I go out to eat, I expect to have a pleasant experience. And frankly, my abuelo’s sister makes better empanadas.

Wow this place is great! We had the beef, chicken, BBQ pork, corn, caprese, Nutella and cinnamon apple empanadas. Each one was excellent. My favorite was the caprese.

Never tried them be for my son asked me to try one last week. Yes I went to empandus today tried a few of them: from 1 to 5 here is my taste on them. The Chicken(2) it was ok/good/ok. Sausage(3) o not ok just o. Bacon(3) can live without not bad just not for me. Ham & Cheese(2) k not ok just k. Now the BBQ Pork(5) had two of them the taste and flavor was very good. The chimichurri sauce adds a new level to the empanadas’. I will be going back for the BBQ Pork. Packs a good punch.

Why have I been craving these things… when I never had them before? Probably too much food network but being that this was my first experience with empanadas. I’m glade to cross this off my food bucket list. I took a chance on coming here vs. the original location over on Riverside despite them both being about the same driving distance. The only difference I think it is the gelato is packaged in containers.(not sure if this is franchise or actually the 2nd store.) but either way this location is great area and the employees were very welcoming when I walked in. Although I’m not a starbucks fan sitting at table with a computer. Did notice the free Wi-Fi sign and could see coming here and people watching at the window or in front of the bench outside. Came in around 7pm and only had a few empanadas in the window but told me that they would make whatever I wanted. Got a variety between bacon, beef, BBQ pork, chicken, Came with chimichurri sauce on the side(which needs to be shaken constantly before pouring them on as the oil rises to the top and spices drops fast to the bottom.) They reminded me of mini calzone. Bacon wasn’t what I was expecting as this is more for breakfast time item. chicken was excellent. Beef although good to many olives. BBQ pork was good wish a litter better BBQ sauce but would ordered it again. Products had a nice thin flaky crust despite that were delicious I’ll be trying the mushrooms and caprese next time.

If you’re craving empanadas, this place is a great fix! Nestled in downtown LaGrange, we had no problem finding a parking spot on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, modern, and comfortable. We ordered the sausage, chicken, and beef empanadas. The sausage and chicken were the best, with the beef lacking a bit(we didn’t like the flavor or combination of spices). There were warm, fresh, and delicious. My only complaint was that the dough/crust wasn’t that great. It wasn’t really flaky or buttery like one would expect — a bit dry and flavorless. Upon further inspection, I noticed they had packages of the pre-made dough, so definitely not made on-site. I would also recommend skipping the desserts, as they were nothing to write home about. Overall, a great find and we’d definitely return if we find ourselves in the area. I would prefer Café Tola downtown for empanadas, but this is a great back-up for the burbs.

The empanadas are tasty and cheap. The mushroom ones are out of this world. The chimichuri sauce is very good. I love that they have the Pellegrino flavored sodas. I gave them an extra star because the girls behind the counter are super nice and let me practice my Spanish. I am pretty sure they are related to the owners and remind me of my nieces. This a nice addition to downtown La Grange!

The people who work here are so friendly, handcrafting a variety of these little pillows of savory fillings. It would be nice to see more side dishes offered on the menu, but even so, everything is tasty and fresh and worth checking out. You can get a variety box and try a whole bunch of different empanadas at once(the name of the flavor is stamped right into the dough, which is cute and helps when you have picky eaters).

Super fun for a big party! Beats the typical pizza or italian beef standard fare options… We ordered 50 empanadas frozen in a variety of different flavors and just heated them up exactly as they told us to before serving… so yummy and fun! Served with a few fun homemade sides like corn salad and rice and you have a delicious meal! Friendly service and bright space… we will be ordering again soon! Try the mushroom and beef varieties… YUM!

I love a good empanada almost more than life itself, so when I discovered this place whilst searching for quick eats in the area, I eagerly stopped in. I got several to try and they were all different than what I would have imagined/expected, but all very good and clearly made with care. The dough they use is so flaky and light, and the fillings all had great flavor and seasoned well. My favorite was actually the apple! I noticed while waiting that their store is extremely clean, which you don’t always see these days, so that was definitely a plus too. Check it out!

We bought several types of empanadas for a party, and they were all good! They vanished immediately. Kids loved them too. My favs were the mushroom empanadas.

WOW! What an amazing place to eat. I was dreaming of empanadas for weeks and stumbled upon this place only by an act of God, kismet I say. I have been back to this place on many occasions. I only eat the beef empanadas, I’m sure there are other choices on the menu, but I don’t care. Beef, pieces or hard boiled eggs, green olives, and spices. Break it open and pour on some of their chimichurri sauce and it sings like a band of angels. Whenever I am in La Grange, I make it a point to stop.

I really liked this place! We just happened upon this place while exploring. I liked that they were baked and not fried. My favorite was the mushroom, but I love mushrooms. The BBQ pork was also yummy! Try it!

Came with the kids and loved the fact many were ready to go. Kids liked the pepperoni, sausage, and ham & cheese. My wife and I loved the rest but top three were sausage, onion, and the caprese. Texture was light and flakey and fillings were plentiful. We had to wait on one flavor and can say right out of the oven was just as awesome as ready go. I would have no reservations on the ready to eat ones.

A must for anyone who loves flaky dough stuffed with amazingness! I work downtown LaGrange and this is a great place to grab a quick bite at a fair price. I love that they always have a variety of empanadas ready to go. The next party or family get together I would consider getting the frozen empanadas to make at home. The new pepperoni is probably my favorite… Next to the caprese.
