I came in and waited for quite some time to get service. I asked the neighboring two gentleman if there was a bartender. I often dine alone by choice, and I appreciate having someone to tend to my order and perhaps converse. I eventually got a gentleman to help me, I ordered a glass of white wine, my preference. It was warm. I had to ask for ice, not my style. The menu was super tattered. No one was friendly. Obviously the lunch rush was over at one fifteen, so no one cared. I asked for a menu For wine and food. It was suggested I go check what soups were on special. The man was less than enthusiastic to help me. It seems the lady that actually got my wine was very busy with the computer and perhaps an owner or manager. I was served my sloppy sand which, and never saw the guy again. The lady made a pleasant comment and went back to work. After five minutes the guy brought me a box, ten minutes later a bill, without asking if I wanted anything else. And I waittttttted. Finally he ran my card. Said thanx, and took off. Not coming back.

Great place. I love the look and feel of the room. The look is classy and the wine selection is amazing. The whole place is kept really clean and neat. The cheese board is my very favorite and the lunch buffet of salad and soups is awesome like the next door neighbor of Piggys. Stop in for their happy hour during the week and enjoy the day

What a great fine this was 7 years ago. Dan is always ready to introduce you to a new wine and a fine complementing cheese when apropriate. A most stop when in LaCrosse. Stop in and see why I gave it 5 stars.

I just stopped in to check it out. Not much selection for food to go. Some interesting artisanal cheeses and some sauces. I bought a veggie sandwich and it was pretty good. I bought a pomegranate tea and it was disgusting. It tasted like lipstick. I think this is a good place for wine and I might get some food when I come back for that.

I like this unassuming, snob-free wine bar. They have a pretty decent selection of wines, very friendly staff, and a whole lot of space. This isn’t a super fancy wine bar, but to me that is what makes it perfect. The snacks are good too. What I really appreciate is how many wines by the glass they have! I have heard you can host events here, and really it’s a great space for that, quite large.

Coming from Indiana and having been to a few wine bars over the years, the Wine Guyz is by far my favorite. Ambience is chill, selection is great, food is fresh and simple, the owner(Dan) is a very nice guy who will talk to you about wine without even a hint of arrogance. Down to earth and knowledgeable, the staff is very kind and attentive. The vibes here are just great. I really can’t say enough about it. Thanks Mr. Dan for continuing to provide a great place to enjoy wine!

The Wine Guyz is a great place to meet with friends in a relaxing atmosphere. The servers are alway helpful in selecting different wines to try. The selection of different wines is amazing. We usually get a little snack to go with our drinks and they are always good.

This is a great social resource in La Crosse. It is big enough to accommodate large groups, yet small enough that people don’t have to yell over a crowd. If you are a wine drinker, you will be impressed with the bottle selection. They have good wines from California as well as New World and Old World wines. The best deal is to buy a bottle and pay the nominal corkage fee($ 7). You can also pay by the glass if you prefer sampling. I think one thing some people might not realize is that their beer selection is impressive too. In this case, they could be called, «Wine(and beer) Guyz» but that might get too long for a sign outside the door. The food is uninspired if you ask me. It is bread and cheese dependent(sandwiches and pizza). With such good wine, it’s a shame they can’t have better food because good food and wine is a synergistic experience! Add good friends and it’s virtually zen! But it also makes the place approachable in a place like La Crosse and probably keeps their operating costs down. The other thing about the place is that the service is sometimes spotty. Sometimes my glass is empty for long periods. I like their hands-off attitude, but I wouldn’t mind getting a refill more often, and their bottom line probably wouldn’t either! Also, they are closed Sundays.

Wine Guyz is both a great wine bar and a great wine shop. It’s classy but not intimidating. The shop has a large selection of bottles, cheese, and other wine-related items, including a section for Wisconsin wines, and everyone working there seems to really know their stuff. The wine bar’s selection of wines by the glass is truly impressive, and I loved the tap system they have set up keep the bottles fresh. For happy hour they offer generous pours of two-for-one glasses of wine.

Love Wine Guyz. We are lucky to have it in La Crosse. The place opened back in 2005. One wall is lined with bottles of wine that you can take home; on the other side is a wine bar that you can belly up to. In between, there are large and small tables to accommodate big and small groups. The owner(half-owner actually) is a guy named Dan who is maybe the best thing about this place. He is very welcoming and positive, and remarkably good at remembering people’s names.
