Jeff did a wonderful job handling a birthday party for 8 rowdy fun-loving ladies. We had a blast and made some awesome bowls and orbs. He gave a super explanation of how the process would work and it was a great time! Do it!!!

My mom and I came here for my birthday to learn how to blow some serious glass! Jeff did an awesome job making sure we had fun, as well as educating us on the safety measures needed when glassblowing. Can’t wait to get my finished piece in the mail!

I love coming here! We first discovered Jeffrey’s studio when my boyfriend took me here for a glass blowing lesson for Valentine’s Day. We each got to help in making our own piece, and Jeffrey explained the process along the way. Jeff is a cool guy to talk with and makes beautiful work, and we have been back a number of times(and bought several other pieces) since. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes glass artwork!

I had the opportunity to experience some of Jeff Mariott’s artwork firsthand in Los Angeles at a favorite shopping spot of mine, HLNR on Robertson. Generally, my head is in the Rick Owens and Camilla Skovgaard direction, but I just happened to look up and see one of the most magnificent displays of glass art ahead of me, a green glass vine that crawls up the window and hangs above the racks of some of the best designer clothing in Los Angeles. Of course, after chatting with a few of the associates, I learned that the artist also had A dramatic red and black chandelier that is strategically hung from the ceiling of the trendy sushi and celebrity hot spot, Sushiya on Sunset. Of course, that was my next stop. It looks like I may need to make a trip to Washington very soon to purchase something of my own! Just found his facebook page here too:

I was vacationing up in Washington when we came across this amazing place! My girlfriend and I both did the«blow your own glass» option at an affordable price of $ 25! It was a BLAST!!! Had a great time watching and learning about how to make the perfect bowl. I will absolutely be going back sometime in the future. Since I wasn’t a local and was not going to be able to pick the bowls up after they had cooled we opted for the $ 7 shipping. Reasonable price and had the bowl within a week. Very satisfied and I’ll be back!

I love glass art. I have often thought of taking classes. So imagine my interest when on our first visit to La Conner we found a place where you could for a very reasonable price blow your own glass art. The owner does some really nice work, very talented. Helps you out in a very controlled manner that keeps it safe and lets you choose colors and between a bowl or a sphere(ornament or float) . the idea of molten glass inches away was too much for my wife so she just watched, but I did it. He is really good with the people he is working with… explaining things and giving specific instructions. Its a wonderful experience Its a really great experience… I recommend… HOWEVER… Glass does take a long controlled process to cool. So if you can’t be there the next day to get it. they take a reasonable shipping payment. Problem is after a week. with them across the street from the post office and us living about 60 miles away. I had no bowl so was disappointed. It took an email to get the bowl shipped the next week. I love my bowl!!! One star off for slow shipping, that needed follow-up to happen. UPDATEFALLWINTER2013: I have since had people track me down from a blog post about this place to see if I had a good Phone number for the shop because they too did the glass blowing and were promised it would be shipped and never got it. Just think the owner is not very organized. But do not do the glass blowing unless you will be around the next day to pick it up yourself. I am not the only one who had shipping issues. If the shipping was reliable this would be a 4 – 5 start experience.

Signing up for a beginner glass-blowing class and making a cool bowl was the most fun activity I did in La Connor while spending the weekend there. Jeff, the owner and teacher, is entertaining and fun to chat with. The classes are by appointment only and spaces fill up fast on the weekend, so call early. Also, you have to let your project anneal overnight before picking it up. They will also ship it to you for $ 7 if you can’t stay until the next day.

I arranged a group glassblowing event at Pier 7 Glaswerks for about 25 people in December 2010. It took awhile for 25 people to get their turn, but the owner, Jeff, really made it worthwhile! He made each person’s experience fun and interesting and worth waiting their turn. He and his partner are charming and delightful. Our group had a FANTASTIC time and I got rave reviews for setting it up. Jeff helped us arrange for some snacks as we watched each one of our group blow a glass ornament or bowl. It was a great experience — enjoyed by all!
