Lovely Nail

Recently came to this Salon (although it is under new ownership and has a new name) because I had a gift certificate and I was VERY impressed with everything. From the service, to the friendliness, and the quality of the pedicure, all for a very reasonable cost. I even called a few weeks later to return, and had other services done including a manicure and eye brow waxing. Very pleased with everything and recommend this location to everyone! Can’t wait to go again this week!

I usually don’t write reviews but I have never been treated so badly at a business and want to let others know. Yesterday I went in for a mani/​pedi. I had a gift certificate that was a year old that I needed to use. I called ahead to see if would still be okay to use it and the person said yes. I was sensitive to the fact that the certificate was a year old and had intended to tip well.
While sitting there I noticed that the place was not clean looking — the floor needed to be vacuumed and there is a general feeling of it not being kept up. The front door wouldn’t open and someone had to let me in; it was stuck. It was hot inside.
I got the mani-​pedi then everyone who had been working on me left the room. I sat and sat and no one came back to put my sandals on my feet. I finally said that I needed to go, and they said «You can go now.» I put my sandals on and walked out. I had intended to tip the people who did my service but they were so rude by never coming back in the room. I was «dismissed».
I felt so humiliated as I got my purse and walked out, like I had done something wrong. No one said another word, like Thank You, or anything.
Obviously I will never go there again.

I have been attending Lovely Nail since I was in high school. I have always been completely satisfied with their services. For a long time I stuck with just plain pedicures and manicures, which would last about a week because I was a swimmer and camp counselor and was very rough on my hands and feet. But now that I am working I have been getting acrylics from them and I have always been happy with the results and the price! And they always remember whether it’s been a week or a year since my last appointment! They remembered me after I spent four years away at college.

I happened to be in La Canada for the weekend and decided to get a pedicure with my friend. I called ahead of time and made an appointment. When I got to the salon the ladies were no where near friendly. I wanted to get the spa pedicure which was only $ 19(sounds like a good price) my friend wanted just the regular that was $ 14. So I got the spa chair, and my friend got to sit in a regular office chair with a tub to put her feet in. They started me off first putting the cuticle oil on my toes and all the nice stuff then used the pumice rock with some soap for my heels ringed it off gulped some lotion on my calves rubbed it a little and then painted my toes. ALL DONE!
As she was painting my toes another lady started on my friend. I’m watching her get hers done and she got all the same things I did and even a better leg massage that even included a FOOT rub that I didn’t get.
I would think that that since I asked for the spa pedicure I would get a scrub, or a mask even. But NO! I got less then she did and I payed more.
DO NOT COME HERE.
Unless you’re looking for something super simple and cheap. This is NOT the place for a spa pedicure!!!
