A wonderful, peaceful place to rest on the road to volcano. The food, coffee, lavender tea, service, soaps, facial creams and atmosphere over is incredible! The little shop is designed to make you feel like home! This is MUST to do while visiting Maui!

Ok, so when your friends say you must go to the lavender farm during your trip to Maui, they do NOT mean this lavender farm! On the upside, this is the first place to get coffee and use the bathroom on the way down from Haleakala Crater. However, all food and drinks other than plain coffee is made by one person, so if you are there with all the other cyclists, it takes forever. Their lavender gift shop was also very depleted, most of their testers were empty and there wasn’t much that caught my interest. We didn’t eat so I can’t comment on the quality of the food, but the coffee was ok. Our tour guide made it sound like this was THE lavender farm on Maui, so I was seriously underwhelmed by the gardens after all the hype from friends, family, and travel guides. I guess that’s not the farm’s fault, but I recommend that unless you need a pit stop while biking down Haleakala, visitors skip Maui Lavender and head straight to Alii Kula Lavender farm instead.

Stopped on here because we inhaled the fragrance on our way down from the summit after watching the sunrise on the crater. The owner was wonderful. I bought the made on Maui soaps. The café looked great but we had just had breakfast. Lots to see here. Do drop in!

Amazing hot chocolate and banana bread. Came here twice while we visited the islands because it was so amazing. The lady working here has a lovely warm smile that can brighten your day.

Good place to come chill and enjoy a nice beverage. I recommend the lavender ice tea. The food was a little bland, everything was served in a paper cup or plate. It wasn’t appealing to be «drinking» my tomato soup from my cup though. I’d recommend using dishes to be presented nicely and to save Mother Nature. The ambiance was cool, literally.

How can you screw up a quiche? The absolute worst quiche I’ve ever had! The egg wasn’t seasoned at all, they probably put one slice of bacon in the whole quiche and I couldn’t taste any cheddar cheese at all. I was chewing on something but I couldn’t tell what it was! The scone wasn’t any better. Save your money!

We had maui lavender acai bowl after enjoying zipline. It had a strong lavender flavor. Not too sweet and very simple. We liked it but it needed more fruits and granola on top and honey! It cost $ 10.50. I think it is a little bit over priced.

Nice place on the road to Haleakala with nice employees and very good food. Try the lavender iced tea.

Nice view and quaint environment, but the pesto sandwich I had was really slacking. It was supposed to contain kale, but it did not. They barely put any pesto or blue cheese. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We stopped here and ate breakfast during the bicycle sunrise tour and I bought some body butter and used it the next 2 nights and love this body butter! It makes my skin so smooth and it doesn’t leave my skin sticky. I went back and got more before we left Hawaii to go home.

Despite the terrible reviews, I felt this little«hole in the wall» café was great! It’s a little pricey than your average breakfast BUT my theory is, what isn’t in Hawaii!!! YES, we did the bike trip and stopped before we went Ziplining but my boyfriend and I loved it. We had the breakfast tacos and the ginger lemonade. AMAZING!!! Just stop being negative and try it!

Very overpriced! Everything from coffee to food is very pricy. The food quality is food truck quality meaning, they sound good but taste doesnt measure up. They have portapotties for bathrooms. On ur way there, you can see the food is all cooked in a little towable trailer… no wonder…

Lovely little café, last place on the way up to the crater. Great view, very nice lady and small selection of good healthy foods. They just got the machine so did their first cappuccino with us which was approved by my wife who loves those and is half-Italian:)

The perfect breakfast spot on your way down from an unforgettable morning spent at the Haleakala summit sunrise. Granted it is PRICEY and service may be slower than most people are used to during high volume times, but to us the price and wait was well worth it for a quality, creative breakfast. Sadly we didn’t get to try the pies, which were sold out by the time we arrived, but we did thoroughly enjoy our iced mocha, ice coffee, lavender tea, waffles, and breakfast sandwich. Little cookies and pastries we took to go were excellent as well.

Don’t really understand the rave reviews. As cafés go this seems like a very indifferent and disorganized operation. In fact no one really paid any attention to us wandering in and out at all. A table with lavender soap for sale was the only evidence of life. We piled back into the car and kept going. Perhaps it’s an awesome lavender farm.

I’m not sure why this place gets such a low rating from people. Did anyone else go to any other lavender farm? The larger lavender farm(Ali’i Kula) costs $ 3 for parking(just to see the view you could see from Haleakala), while this one has ample amounts of parking. The service is excellent. The lady who helped us was extremely sweet and gave us free sprigs of lavender for purchasing various products. The food was soooo delicious! We had the lavender tea and the lemonade. Their lemonade was superior to Ali’i Kula’s lemonade. We bought the Maui tacos, which were perhaps the best tacos I have ever had. Sure they are a little pricy, but isn’t all food in Hawaii expensive? Don’t have unrealistic expectations about food prices in Hawaii… It’s not Cali!

Came here after the sunrise. Looks like the picture of the menu posted 6 months ago had changed. The breakfast sandwhich went from $ 14 to $ 10!!! Over priced!!! AVOID!

We stopped at this casual, lovely upcountry spot during our bike ride down Halekalea. It was delightful! All outdoor seating overlooking a spectacular lavender garden, you cannot top the view. The food is all local organic and made to order. I had the spicy beef tacos and was in heaven– so fresh and so wonderful. My husband tried the taro burger and he was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. They also sell Maui Root Beer and tons of handmade lavender bath products made right there. This is a casual, cheap spot but again, after all my visits to Maui and after eating at most of «the» places, I find little hidden gems like Maui Lavender Café and Thai Food by Pranee to be my favorites of the island. There’s no need to drop a fortune when delicious food in a stunning environment is available!
