Friendly staff, helps out anyone in need. Great place for fun, everything about it is as great as can be! It’s been updated and they are doing everything they can to make it as good as it gets.

Not handicap or wheelchair accessible. Spend your money someplace more inclusive. Every dollar spent is a vote.

Went to Sir Goony’s a few weeks ago for some mini golf with my friends and stayed for the ice cream – so many cool flavors. Playing golf was a blast, too, though. There are two courses that are both really unique, one a bit easier, the other pretty difficult. Both were in really good condition, no gross mildew or anything. Almost all of the carpeting was new and all of the animals and structures had clearly been painted recently with all sorts of designs. For the hour or so we spent on the course, and the amount of ice cream I ate, the price was a ridiculously good deal. I’m for sure going back this summer, maybe try some paintball.

I took a date here to play some putt putt, and we were both unimpressed. Water hazards were either empty or nasty, some of the penalty holes were not labeled, carpet was tearing up around the edges, etc. I doubt that I’ll go back.

Went to go mini putt only. I could tell that it used to be a nice place, but doesn’t look like there has been any maintenance done since they opened. Some of the mechanical animals were not working, the bricks and rocks around the holes were out of place, and the greens were ripped up and moldy. We played both courses and the«challenging» one is harder and had some unique characteristics but same lack of upkeep. Brought my 3 year old and they were even asking why the water looks like it does. I think there used to be a fountain, but it didn’t look like it had been on for a long while. There was some bouncy houses and slides which looked newer and pretty decent. So if you are going here make sure you have enough time to do that. Younger kids that have fun doing anything will enjoy themselves. Just don’t expect to leave impressed.

Brought the kids I babysit to play at the Splash Zone. They had a great time. The staff was really nice, always made sure the kids were safe and following the rules so I didn’t have to worry. Unique attraction!

Price is right, the course is right. The biggest problem with this place is that it’s tired. Really no upkeep on the mini golf course. There is no water in the hazard traps. One hole seems to eat the ball so you get to go on a wild adventure while looking for the ball. Most of the holes need some sort of new turf, just makes it that much more interesting to play. A lot of rotten wood. Heck four people fully entertained for under 20 bucks. Nice staff at check in. Plenty of parking.

Unless you like your mini golf sparse with a side of way too much serious, this is the place for you. Giant fiberglass all kinds of things line the courses. Two to be exact. A kid’s course(involving the T-Rex and many other large fantastical creatures) and a pro course with a, well, I’m not sure what the theme is, but it involves a gorilla, a pirate ship, a haunted house, a giraffe and lots of other stuff. I’m gonna be honest, it’s a little in disrepair. The water features would be much nicer if the water hadn’t turned into slime many many years ago. But, hey! They don’t expect you to retrieve your balls from there so don’t worry, ignore them and just have fun with the wacky course. It’s limitless in imagination. Really. I think my favorite part is that Sir Goony’s has adopted some adolescent cats who are mega friendly and playful. We implemented the«interference» rule, i.e. you may call interference any time the cat chases your ball up a hill, stops it, and scrambles backwards down the hill as it tries to get the ball into its paws to bat at it. This made me cry. Price wasn’t too bad. Other course nearby is about the same, but bo-or-oring(see above re: imagination at Sir Goony’s). There’s paintball and go karts. Neither is my thing so you’ll have to look elsewhere for reviews on those amenities. I hear there’s some fun ridiculous mini golf up in Pigeon Forge, but if I’m looking to hang in Knoxville I’m going to Sir Goony’s.

query: what kind of person would hack at a ball with a dingy stick surrounded by large expanses of grass… when really they could be swinging their dingy stick at that ball next to an enormous ORANGE T-REX(shown here: )? i will tread no further into the minds of such people. as for myself, i choose the orange t-rex. and though it devoured and partially digested my little brother on the 5th green, i choose the uni-tooth snake too( ). sir gooneys has 218 hole mini-courses, one with fairy tale creatures and fantastical this and that, and one with a safari theme. they’re a little beat up– missing those little pads where you t off and so forth. and someone drew eyeballs onto a large ceramic ghost rendering it. well silly. but i’m a fan in spite of these abuses. 13 bucks for me and my little bro to play 18. kids 12 and under get a discount– snacks and cokes available. ALSO– there are go carts and paint balling. words of advice: bring a camera and a sense of humor. i’d give them 4 stars if it weren’t unethical to up ratings for the sake of nostalgia…
